I used kitchen trash bags and did 5, but did nothing. Figured you used the big black ones so stuffed another 5 up there, And BAM!!! Worked like a charm. Thank you so much.
After spending my entire day off deadening that rear deck to no avail, this video fixed the rattling in less than 10 min. Wish I would have found it before I took the car apart smh. Thanks man, thought I was gonna have to deal with the rattles!
thank you so much man you fixed my problem i bought a 10" powerbass sub today and it was driving me nuts thinking i couldnt fix it. Thanks a million bro!!!
If you can get Dynamat in there. Its pretty small tight area. You would need to dynamat under the entire bottom and remove the rear deck and dynamating that area. That's the only other option. I used some old shirts that got cut up and pressed the air. Its SOLID. And sounds better. I do know little rattling will be wear the 6x9 location would be. There's some open air way under the rear deck that needs to be covered. Im too using 12" rebuilt Sundown Audio by PSI CAR AUDIO with a SQL dish cone in slot ported box. Im going to hear little rattling period...4000.1 watts wired to 1ohm. My license plate rattles and that will change in few days. Dont forget your brake light housing and reflectors on trunk. Those will rattle too.
I have that rattle fixed but the killer is my headliner. Its not actually the headliner but the flex from the roof itself hitting the headliner. Thinking of removing and spraying some adhesive on it but worried about the side curtain airbags in the side panels that have to be removed to drop the headliner. Anyone done anything like that?
He showed you the video. Open the trunk, look under the deck and the square in the middle that has the brake light bulb n switch is the area. You gotta unclip the brake light wire and place bag, shirt memory foam, whatever you have thats small and stuff that square area as much as possible. Make sure to push further in more this will help tighter response.
Dude you just saved me at least 100$, I just stuffed leftover grocery bags up there and it was literally like a night and day difference. Thank you!
Meanwhile I spent those 100$ on dynamat covering the rear deck and trunk lid and dit did not make a change! I'll try this tomorrow :)
