I always look forward to your videos! I really appreciate your blouses, as sahm, we can easily forget ourselves so it really is inspiring to see another momma who is well-put together. Thank you for sharing!
We don't do co-ops but we meet with other homeschoolers on a weekly basis at various parks. We go regularly but if we have vacay or something comes up we dont feel too bad missing as its just for play. But my daughter loves it and has made lots of homeschool friends through these regular gatherings. Because its casual and open to all homeschoolers in our area, there are regulars that show up 80-90% of the time and others who've only shown up 1-2 times. So as a mom I find it harder to form close knit friendships with the other moms. So sometimes I do like smaller groups but then I find it also gets "clicky" you know like highschoolers.
This is the hiccup we had with “unorganized” park meet ups. It was just too transient for my kids to make real relationships. But co-ops are a significantly higher level of work so, it also has its downsides.
Same. Structured co-ops aren’t for us, but we do attend park meet ups and do group field trips occasionally. In our county there’s over 500 people on a local homeschool page, but I kid you not we’re lucky if two families actually follow through with getting together regularly. I kind of don’t mind though because even though these families homeschool too that doesn’t always mean they’re our people if that makes sense. We have a good group of friends in our neighborhood, church friends, and family close by, so we have our community.
@@FullPurposeAndHeart But I found that my daughter still has a handful of friends from these park meet ups that she plays with everytime and ask for them if they dont show up or she hasn't seen them in a while.

This is so nice to hear! Thank you for your comment.
I agree! You gotta be all in when it comes to homeschooling. You can take it year by year and there's days that are hard but I'd never just give up.
No plan B. 👍🏻 just doing the best we can.

How did you start your co-op
Oh man. It was a project. I talked about it in this video: th-cam.com/video/fU8CSdBopTU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7wRzLjNOER-Q5hJZ
