What a fantastic tour! An awesome collection. Farmers have so many great old cars in the back shed!! Loved it.
happy you enjoyed the tour! i love those old farmer properties - its an amazing place
It gives me faith there is Still good Holden HQ‘s out there. 👌
they are still around but hard to come by now, out in the country you find them out in old work sheds sometimes just sitting
It great that these cars still exist. But as far as great condition, no . All need huge dollars and time spent on them.
And how many times did he refer to them all as "projects"? And I'm pretty sure that anyone looking at a rebuild would have a good idea of the cost and time. Ask anyone that's ever rebuilt a car, how much they've spent. Most couldn't tell you. And it's not why we do it. And if you don't know why, you ain't a car person.
Basically a holden museum heaven ❤. I would love to restore a couple of those beautiful babies
happy you enjoyed the tour, its a amazing place to walk through that's for sure
great vids mate some work needed on your model thoughts
but so many great holdens
thanks mate, yeah like i said in the video - i need help identifying them as im not so good haha, glad you did enjoy it! i have a heap more to come too. hopefully on a property soon were its all for sale.....
hr and hd look almost the same shame there weren't any ht hg hk those are my fave oldschool holdens. nice collection the owner must be happy as a pig in mud so many cool projects to do and all the bits to do them
A slice of man heaven for sure!!!
Love seeing these Australian automobiles in various condition!! Love the utes and wagons. This Canadian enjoyed your video tour of the property! I drive a forklift at work, that yellow one caught my attention lol!
Subbed✌🇨🇦
Im happy you enjoyed the tour mate, some great old Aussie cars there, thanks for watching, i also operate a JCB forklift at work 👍
Wow, so may potential projects there. Just FYI, HJ is Kingswood, same as HX & HZ and the black Commodore is either VY or VZ, not VT.
so many projects, thanks for the info on the models 👍
wow so many great projects there mate! he has got his retirement fund sorted!
hey @TwistedMetalCustoms - man he sure does!! so many great projects. only problem is, which one to start??? 🤣🤣 i was very lucky to walk through the property
Everyone wanting a project car or truck still wants to pay "80's prices" . The current owner has a few dollar's of cars and good projects in this lot and no one will pay or offer good money for it. Hence why people become horders they would rather store it and not sell it. I don't blame them
Tail lights will tell you the difference in the older holdens.
EJ Roundish
EH Rectangular.
HD wrap around
HR long
Thats a start for you.
The later models its easier to tell by the front grill.
thanks for the insite on the lights, im learning alot through all the comments 👍hope you enjoyed the tour
Unfortunately unless the owner is going to sell a few of those cars to people who can restore them, many will sit and rust out and go to waste. Thanks for video.
Make you sick cars left to rot like that. Just a horder plain and simple.
That's his retirement easy ..
If it wasn't for guy's like him they would have all gone to the crusher a long time ago.
I hope he realises the vt commodore he is trying to purchase is not a vt. Amazing barn find. Drooling over the eh and toranas.
glad you enjoyed the tour, yeah i did realise its not a VT after the fact. so many nice old vehicles. i love the old EH wagon i think it was. so much appeal with the old roof racks 👍
@@goldshiftgarageEJ wagon. Holden prefixes for you, 48/215, commonly known as the FX, FJ, FE, FC, FB, EK, EJ, EJ was the last of the Grey motor, EH, the first red motor, 149 & 179, HD, HR, HK, motor size went up to 161& 186 with the first V8 Holden's running small block Chevy's of 307, 327, HT, first Australian built and designed V8 of 253 & 308, 350 small block Chevy's in the Monaros in Bathurst spec. Cheers.
That White FC -FE Ute was mint
how nice was that!! he restores them to perfection
@@goldshiftgarage it was a mint looking machine alright & be worth a pretti penny today, so good to see our Aussie Classics Resurrected
Just need to live long enough
Great content just wish you knew a bit more about them the Commodore was a vy-vz you called it a vt you want to buy for your son the HR’s you were calling them HR- HJ’s apart from you not knowing your cars great videos keep looking 👀 for more 👍💯
glad you liked the tour, its a amazing place! thanks for the heads up on some of the old vehicles - as you saw im not 100% what they all were. 👍 thats just a snippet of what is there, the really nice are inside the containers. hopefully a future episode
@@goldshiftgarage Haha yea model similar are HR and HD,. EJ and EH, then HK-HT-HG. LC=LJ Torana LH=LX and UC Torana then HQ-HJ-HX-HZ-WB then commonwhores.
@@nedkelly9688 thanks mate, as you saw im not that great with old models haha but i do love them
I like how you got nearly all the cars wrong but you have to learn one way or another great vid though cat knowledge comes with time i want that HQ body at the end of the video as is i have all the parts to complete it
i think that HQ is for sale on marketplace, i did see it a few weeks ago posted on it.
WB utes and panel vans didn't have the side indicator in the rear Q panel, if you are looking at incomplete/shells, this is the quickest way to id if it is one.
With thoses early model cruiser's if he hasn't changed the gearing they most definitely do not go any faster, sound great but still only do 100 k's
couple years ago we stumbled on an ol cockys farm out off Cooma ,he had an ol XY ute a 4wd ute jacked up with Jeep runnin gear ,three on floor hi low split box ,front diff locks ,he worked for Thiess mines out of Queensland early 70s and he kept it as a payout when he left ,he claims thats how it came from factree ,went back with a handfull of cash but he said your gonna have to bring 5k ,we came up short by 3500 ,thats one i regret
Very cool! Did you leave with another project on the trailer?
its so good walking through there, i did pick one up but for my son's project.
I'm giving you a like just because you said "marvellous"!
HAHAHAHAAA cheers mate - Richie Benaud fan??
@@goldshiftgarage you deserve another one for referencing one of the greats!
Imagine how much shed and yard space old mate would have if he got rid of all the old shit he collects
But what would he do with it all after he cleaned up??
It would just be empty yard and shed space
Lucky you too leave with a HJ ute.
You would make a good used car salesman.
hahaha thanks mate, i get a bit excited sometimes
How about the abandoned spray booth….
The jeep probably best find
there was so many jeeps on that property, i was only allowed to show some of them - there are plenty restored to perfection there too but they were tucked away in his good collection 👍
@@goldshiftgarage where they Ford production ? Trailers are rare too shame just sitting there cheers
The name of that farm is Gunnadoo😂
Is this in Victoria some where? Such amazing history amongst all those cars
No sorry mate it's up in QLD, your right so much history here! i didn't even open any containers or show the really restored cars. i will save that for another day. Happy you enjoyed it - to good not to share with everyone
I’m guessing out around Chinchilla,Roma,Miles area just by the sticker on that mint fe-fc Ute
Why do you want to know? I'm pretty sure that the owner wouldn't be too happy about people taking guesses at his location on an open platform. And if I was the owner, I would think that I would have to start taking precautions and take all necessary steps to take care of things.
Not too sure about this guys description of good condition; however great video and he is trying.
The keep on the flat top is really junk and taking up valuable space, jeeez.
What people fail to realise is the amount of money required to bring any of these wrecks back to life will far exceed the value of the finished car plus no doubt the owner of these wrecks would probably want four figure sums for this crusher bait Only the Monaro and a couple of FJ//FX s and Albert a Jeep are worth saving
Absolute Treasure Trove
was a privilege to walk around and look at those beauty's
66 hr
I am 95% shore that was my old yellow torana with the brown doors
Where is this thanks do you think they would sell the coupe thanks 😊
its a fantastic collection that's for sure! it's in QLD. i think that's his super fund haha, so many great project cars if he would sell.
@@goldshiftgarage ok thanks he is a collector so then on sale
@@harryloibl5183 i followed up on that coupe for you and it was a firm NO to the sale question, as i expected 👍
@@goldshiftgarage ok thank you 😊 for trying, I’ll just think of all that money I saved then. 😊
So I'm guessing none of these are for sale ??
By the looks of the stored old corro
I’m assuming hoarding and not for sale
Shame
i don't think so mate, i could ask when i see him next 👍
i followed up with the owner of these cars - yes some are for sale but the coupe in the shed isn't one of them. hit me up on FB and i will PM you some details if you like? i have a Gold Shift Garage FB account.
@@goldshiftgarage Might hit you up i want another LH Torana or a HQ=HZ ute.
Regret selling all mine including a nice LC GTR Torana and a SLR 5000 LH Torana.
@@nedkelly9688 no worries mate, i have a regretful sale also - LJ Torana, LX SS Torana, VN SS atlis grey chipped commie. im happy with the WB im building though.
Unreal condition???
No charger 770’s?
not a charger in site!! plenty of other stuff but no Valiants at all
Thx for your kind reply, I was smiling along with you looking at all that treasure! Wish I had a time machine!
You show 2 HRs and you call one a HJ.
hahaha like i said - help me with the models as im not 100% certain 👍 thanks for watching
"Toranas" is plural. There shouldn't be an apostrophe in the word!
+--hr
These cars are just way to expensive for the average person to buy and overtime and restore
The owner would like this video removed. Thankyou.
Hi there, this is what happens when have lots of $$$$$ and no time to spend it
