Absolutely, GLTC is rapidly shaping up to be one of the most interesting/exciting/downright fun divisions in all of Motorsport. The approachability, fun racing, and massive field make it a joy to watch as a fan and also to (hopefully) participate in the next (or one after) seasons if I can get the finances required to field a car properly. Fine driving out there!

As absolutely heart wrenching as that mechanical failure was, I hope you feel proud of what you've accomplished this season. Going from back of the pack to nearly snagging a podium within one season is a REMARKABLE feat. GLTC is one of the best curated and sanctioned events in motorsports. I hope to see it continue to grow and attract talented homegrown drivers and builders. This is proper racing. Not overly limited in the scope what you can bring, but rather how much you can get out of a certain P/W by choosing for more power/tire or more aero as you see fit. I love it.
I dont think ive ever been more emotionally invested in a video. I genuinely have goosebumps. No matter whether youve raced or not, everyones had that feeling of doing their best, getting ahead, and then something outside of your control pulls you back. Now its up to you to crawl back up. Driving an active project like the MR-S makes it so much harder to even focus on refining your driving. Leguna Seca really brought out some crazy moments. Was awesome meeting you Ben, and seeing the MR2 in person!
I seriously cannot wait for when Lin gets his car all together so he can finally drive confidently and consistently. I believe that’s the issue with Lin right now, I don’t think it’s a car problem. But no matter what, I love seeing Lin race in the MRS

Do you remember Romain grosjean in f1 when he lost all the time but right when got a lucky break his confidence shot through the roof and so did his overall performance? I think that’s what Lin needs. And a working engine😅
@ImMcRingo it's both. He's frustrated because his car has so many problems. And a lot of that is on him trying to be different and go outside the box so far. Mr2 Spyder not a great course chassis(unless u have unlimited funds).. And the engine selection was risky. No one uses it for racing like that, which is why they are chasing so many issues and it's down on power.
Man - that was awesome, unfortunately ended like a weird movie. Don't want to drop any spoilers, but really-really hope they can get our the Yota. Would love to see both of them hit that top 5/10.
I feel like being seven years old, watching Cars for the first time again. This has got to be one of the racing highlights of my year, and it has not been a slow year at all. My god, what a race!! Wow!
That is absolutely rough man!!! The random pole start was a bit of a fluke but holding pole for the entire race was not. You were making gaps even after mistakes. You were the best driver on the track that last race.
Sitting here watching Thorn's 4th race and my heart was pounding, getting so excited that he's gonna do it, and then seeing the issue with the shift in that corner hurt, but the first two "NO!," that was heartbreaking. Thorn that was an amazing race. Lin, I can't wait to see you figure out why the MR2 is down on power, fix it, and then race your ass off next season. You guys are killin it. Good job guys.

I was there when you did the civic and mx5 challenge video and watched you and the civic grow from there. I really felt this loss. All that work all that effort accumulated into one moment that was so cruelly taken away from you. But you have proved that you have winning in you and the car! One of the best, if not the best video by far from you guys! That last lap gave me flashbacks to the LMP1 Toyota at LeMans when they broke down on the last lap. Nice job Ben Th. It was a gut wrencher watching it turn from top of the world to a tragedy. I was already typing the congrats in the comments just before the last lap and then discarded it. I actually think it’s a better story and does create the suspense with the audience for next season.
I absolutely feel for all of the team here. Not just the Ben’s, but mechanics, support staff and to editors and team that help the channel. This captured so well the emotions of racing as you progress in skill and start to face the roulette wheel the lady luck that spins against you.

Motorsport can be cruel, but you should be incredibly proud, you've proven that you can and will continue to run with those at the very top of the field and will in time grab a win.
Short Ben, keep your head up. The gap you were pulling on 2nd place in race 4 proves that the car and you are up there in the top 5. You'll get another chance. Tall Ben, keep on improving the MR2. Don't try to be unique, drop as much weight as possible and stick with what you know will work. Also kudos to you for being such a good friend, you two are the dream team. So, I have 25 years of race experience and I would love to pass some of the things I have learnt on to the two Bens For Ben T: Stick to your pace! Whether you are chasing or leading, stick to that rythym you have built up. The very second you start thinking to yourself "maybe I can brake that metre later or pick up the throttle that half a second earlier", that's when you make mistakes and go backwards. Racing isn't about making no mistakes, it's about making less mistakes than everyone else, so, drive smooth and try to put the pressure on the guys around you to make the mistakes. And always check those 50 cent parts. They will 100% ruin your day when you don't......... I think you know that now, ha ha For Ben L: Relax, mate! You are putting way too much pressure on yourself. Honestly, the more fun you have, the better you will drive. Take some positives from the weekend. You were battling with people and I saw a sneaky move here and there, too. That's huge progress! You are learning and you will never stop learning, so, you may as well have some fun with the people you are racing with whether that is position no where or the lead of the race. Your speed will come with confidence, your confidence will come with enjoyment, so, focus on having fun first. Really happy you have stuck with the MRS rather than trying to force that Evo to race, too. Nothing beats an NA race engine Can't wait to watch your next Gridlife races, gents. I watched the last race of that weekend on the edge of my couch, just cheering you on for the win. To have it end that way was cruel. I was gutted and it threw my day off a bit tbh. The editing with the live commentary was great, but as always my favorite part is the team and the unwavering support for each other. What a drive! I’m gutted for you Ben, but you dominated that final race until literally the last lap! It took a mechanical failure for you not to win! You’ve really upped your driving skills in the last few years and you gotta be proud of that! Keep up the amazing content guys! As for the MRS, just keep the development going! It’s getting there!
Nice job Ben Th. It was a gut wrencher watching it turn from top of the world to a tragedy. I was already typing the congrats in the comments just before the last lap and then discarded it. I actually think it’s a better story and does create the suspense with the audience for next season.

Short Ben, keep your head up. The gap you were pulling on 2nd place in race 4 proves that the car and you are up there in the top 5. You'll get another chance.
Tall Ben, keep on improving the MR2. Don't try to be unique, drop as much weight as possible and stick with what you know will work. Also kudos to you for being such a good friend, you two are the dream team. Even though you ended up with worse results and didn't even got to race in the last round you still consoled your Bro, where some would have been sulking about their own problems. That's why I keep on rooting for you!

For Ben T: Stick to your pace! Whether you are chasing or leading, stick to that rythym you have built up. The very second you start thinking to yourself "maybe I can brake that metre later or pick up the throttle that half a second earlier", that's when you make mistakes and go backwards. Racing isn't about making no mistakes, it's about making less mistakes than everyone else, so, drive smooth and try to put the pressure on the guys around you to make the mistakes. And always check those 50 cent parts. They will 100% ruin your day when you don't......... I think you know that now, ha ha
For Ben L: Relax, mate! You are putting way too much pressure on yourself. Honestly, the more fun you have, the better you will drive. Take some positives from the weekend. You were battling with people and I saw a sneaky move here and there, too. That's huge progress! You are learning and you will never stop learning, so, you may as well have some fun with the people you are racing with whether that is position no where or the lead of the race. Your speed will come with confidence, your confidence will come with enjoyment, so, focus on having fun first. Really happy you have stuck with the MRS rather than trying to force that Evo to race, too. Nothing beats an NA race engine

I watched the last race of that weekend on the edge of my couch, just cheering you on for the win. To have it end that way was cruel. I was gutted and it threw my day off a bit tbh.
The editing with the live commentary was great, but as always my favorite part is the team and the unwavering support for each other.
