@@garrison2574 Not really, at 15:50 he had the wheel all the way to the left, he realease the throttle which made the front regain traction while pointing to the wall, starting an irrecoverable spin.
Not a dig at the "main" comment but always in the replies comes all the retired F1/Super GT/WTCC/WRC/etc drivers theorizing and clamoring about how they could have saved it. We're human. Mistakes happen.
Great result! Kept the car in one piece, didn’t cause any accidents, didn’t come in last, and the footage was fantastic. Can’t ask for more than that first time out especially in the wet. Great stuff.
Props to doing the right thing and not going batshit on your fist time out due to ego. I like the approach of learning while being as safe as possible. We all know the speed you're capable of achieving and it will def come in time. Great vid as always.

I used to think I could race but as I got older I came to realize just what it took and how much practice I will need to undergo... that spin towards the end of the video I really thought you would pull it out, that last slip was very rude for not letting you pull that off 😂

Once I heard Gridlife was coming to Watkins Glen (my home track) I started watching replays from the 2022 season and became familiar with some of the names. I'm glad to see the drivers are super down to earth and love racing! It was a wet one...

G&G time attack videos were great, this wheel to wheel video is even better. Needed that rain light in the first race! I do not watch many racing videos but this looked very competitive, all in.
This seems very simolar to our IPRA series here in Australia and I am 100% here for it. Really exciting to see unique approaches to turning quite different production cars into wheel to wheel track weapons and watching how the different skill levels, mechanical performance and driving styles compete is awesome.

Well done! Exceedingly lucky with that spin in Race 3... WGI is my favorite track ...raced in the dry, the wet, the cold, the cold and wet...very tricky in the wet. Great work for your first race.
I just want to take a moment to appreciate and thank you for the time and effort that went into this video, the interviews with drivers, editing multiple cameras, syncing the race commentary, all the b roll footage, I could go on and on. I know this takes soooooo much time
This is dope to see what all these different builds can do specially were there all around same power to weight ... be rad af , I love explain power to weight to ppl cuz I drive a big turbo miata so 3-400hp in a car that done even weigh a ton is like a 6-700 hp mustang for power to weight comparison, so this should be a super dope season .. besta luck Ben hope ya can kick same azz this season ... peace and love to all keep it rad stay safe and build on l8z
I have thoroughly enjoyed watching you and the Civic progress through the different classes and I hope to be able to get into racing as well one day. The Civic/Miata road trip video was what brought me to your channel and I've watched everything since! My only gripe is not hearing more of that engine screaming, sounds so good lol.

As a Honda technician, if you fill the transmission from the top you should put the vehicle on a level surface and take out the fill plug on the side. This will ensure accurate transmission fluid level as it will drain out once it has reached capacity.
This is amazing content to live vicariously through. I love that you interview the other drivers and cover their races as well, it makes the story so much more full. I would have enjoyed hearing your final session results at the end, just as a benchmark so e we can enjoy watching the improvement over the season :)
Absolutely fantastic video. I can't believe those conditions though! Mixing in the Gridlife in-car footage and commentary really helped bring home how intense this must've been.
Ben had the right idea, as a newcomer you don't have much of a chance at winning or even placing high up. Instead, the important part is to finish without getting destroyed, which he did and fantastically!

That smallest increment of letting off the acceleration mid slide was down fall of the now drift😭 I honestly feel if you had to decided to full send you woulda had an awesome clip on an accidental drift on track day😎 good recovery tho on not hitting the other car and the walls on your way to the grass🥳
