I've had my CB650R for about 10 days now. I have a quick shifter ordered. I think it will be a great addition to this bike. Can't wait!

Personally, I think this quick-shifter is one of the best part of the bike. I love it a lot and ever since I have the quick shifter installed, I’ve been on high Rev ever since. 😂🤣

I love your energy. My QS finally arrived after 4 months lol. I will try to fit it this weekend. It's the middle of winter here but hopefully it will be sunny enough to go out for a ride this weekend. The roads have been icy though so I will be taking it easy haha.
Hi from the Netherlands. First of all I want to let you know that you make great videos 👍. The oem quick shifter is a great upgrade for the bike. I have it now two and a half year and got some experience with it on the CB650R. My experience is if you shift at 4000rpm and don’t accelerate but just keep the gas in the maintaining position it shifts perfectly from first to second up to sixth gear. Above 4000rpm you can bang it through the gears and keep accelerating. Side note: The shift that you perform must be a quick positive action.

Hey bud, I have the same bike and qs. But I have a problem I was hoping you can shed some light on. Basically I have to blip the throttle in order for it to shift up. I see on Hondas website and your videos that I shouldn’t have to blip the throttle. I got my qs from eBay for a good price. And it looks authentic. But I can’t figure out why it’s not cutting fuel when I hit the lever. Let me know what you think thanks
Have had my bike not even a week and I just realized that it already has a quick shifter installed lolll So thanks for the video just kind of seeing what the thing can do cause I don't think I've ever had one on any of my motorcycles

My bike is on 500 km right now im not really sure a qs will be allowed right now because of the break in?
does this quick shifter work on going from neutral to 1st gear ?? if so, how do you do that ?? do we have to rev above 1500rpm from neutral to quick shift to 1st gear ?
It’s not just for racetrack but great for pulling away in traffic without using the clutch. Doesn’t help with false neutral issues. Shame it isn’t an auto blipper/ downshift.
Yea it’s a much better experience overall. Yea a downshift feature with auto blipper would’ve been amazing.
Can i downshift with the oem quickshifter if cut the throttle fully ?
You can if you pull your clutch in. Technically you can still do clutchless downshifts I’ve tried.
im looking at getting a cb650r and turn it into a touring capable bike with highway pegs and a fairing and different things for long rides that i do on the rare occasion that go for around 7 hours
Hi there. That’s a nice sounding idea. My thoughts on the CB as a tourer.. seats a bit hard, suspension is slightly sporty (hard) for long journeys, and in terms of wind protection… it’s a naked bike might be annoying for long journeys where a really big fairing will be required.
yee for touring this bike is just not the right one... i also lovr my bike but toooo stifff in any means.... (anyway ofcourse i can make 1000km in two days.. but.. anWaY)
Do you use the quickshifter from 1st - 2nd gears in all rev ranges? Great videos btw!
Thanks buddy! Yea I used the quickshifter from 1st to 2nd but if the revs are too low it’s a bit clunky. Other than that it’s fine.

I notice is abit more tricky to do clutchless upshift with the QS installed. What do you think?
That’s right. I think the qs works when you have the throttle on. I’ve tried using the qs without any throttle input and it doesn’t work. That’s probably why you can’t do clutchless shifts anymore.
to use the quick shift is it necessary to partially shut off the gas?
No need bro just twist it open and click thru the gears with ease.

Is your side mirror very fit on this bike, like not change the angle on its own in high speed

Hi bro. I went thru 3 different aftermarket side mirrors to find the right one. The bracket and the mirrors are from different ones. It seems pretty solid quite tough to change the angle actually and so far the wind hasn’t had any effect. I got the bracket from Ali express and no longer can find the link and the mirror from a friend. There are some good ones out there just gotta look around. For me it’s a gamble haha.

@@johnlee5399 hehe you can try some other mirrors it’s annoying when you have to keep on adjusting it. my mirrors are definitely tight. I need to use body weight to change angle 🤣

The fun is to blip it yourself during downshifts and feel satisfied if you get it right.

Hello there. Thanks glad you enjoy the content. I got the quickshifter from a local dealer but you could get it from webike straight from japan or Amazon if they have stock.
Just buy a trans support so no more false neutrals from aliexpress simple.
I got the racetorx UK one before the Ali express version existed. Pretty good
audio so not so great buddy. I appreciate the info, but , if you could work the audio out to be cleaner, it would be great
