"Do you remember your mother or your grandmother first?" has big "Are you weakest, do you feel, at the elbow or the shoulder?" energy to me 😆
That moment in calamity... I had to pause and go for a walk . Brennan's so good at whatever those "dramatic irony" horrifying questions that are more terrifying than being explicit. A type of horror that can only exist in d&d collaborative story telling.

the mental imagery of the stepmother animalistically eating her daughters on all fours "bite by bite" is the one that gets me the most. although the nightmare that is seeing the stepmother's face for the first time and everything that happens there, i think it's hard to beat that. the confusing nature of brennan's description honestly adds to it, even though i'm pretty sure it wasn't intentional
The smile of a devil you never believed in is one of the hardest lines I’ve ever heard, I’ll always remember that moment
“the face of a divinity you don’t worship, the smile of a devil you never believed in” is a line that has haunted me since i watched neverafter god this season was so good
this series is proving to me that there is nothing more vicious for horror than theater of the mind because I am getting anxious to the point of it being physical from watching these
this but in the opposite direction for me. like. it's so much more horrifying leaving stuff up to the imagination a lot of the times cause the imagery we have available can't do justice to more eldritch concepts. and it makes me very happy!!

personally, I feel like the step mother coming back with Pinocchio's blood covered nose should have been here

*worst decision ever made happens* "is that gonna work?" I love this so much
5:47 20:04 one of my favorite parts of Pinocchio’s character that comes of him being a curious child. An adult wouldn’t open it or look because they know they’re not supposed to, or that it’s bad, but Pinocchio is curious and afraid and he can’t help himself. It really adds to the horror, the inevitability of the badness makes it so scary
The way the music stops when describing how the step mother devoured those girls genuinely makes me tremble
Hearing the opening theme just creep through in the confrontation in ep 7, I could feel my nerves growing tense with fear
SAME! Accompanying that with the visual of the Stepmother gave me an even bigger sense of utter terror.
As someone who doesn't currently have access to Dropout, I have never felt more excited for the day I can finally binge Dimension 20 stuff

horror lover here so maybe biased but !!! this is my personal favorite d20 season EVER. everrrr. !!! it’s so good. equally spooky and thoughtful and funny. some of my fav characters and character arcs in the whole d20 universe as well :D i want another horror season🤩
