Zac Oyama’s understated comedy genius effect on full display. Everyone else is doing the most incredible character voices, utter madness on display, and Zac just breaks everyone with a low key regular voice, a nonchalant commitment to a single silly trait, and reacting to the ensuing chaos with this “Whoah, dude, chill…” energy. He’s the perfect comedy straight man paired against the natural chaos intensity of Brennan or Izzy.
i love how utterly blindsided bronze is by a squing eating the contract because everyone else knows what’s coming but her. from the moment zac said “can i read that?” you can tell he’s trying to be overly nonchalant, izzy quickly realizes what’s about to happen but plays it cool to not give it away, carlos is looking around like “um no one’s stopping this??” and erika just starts fucking CACKLING with no poker face at all. the fact that even with all of this in play, plus the running gag of squing eating letters, bronze still just readily hands over the paperwork without suspicion…..then a second later is at a complete loss for words when the deed is done. a genius and hilarious series of events.
1:50 Izzy mentions sending her wife letters, and Zac so quickly gets the most pleased look I have ever seen. HE PLANNED THAT OUT 😭 he waited to drop that!
The whole table watching Zac asking for the contract so he can eat it has the same energy as everyone watching him ask Brenan if he can enter a rage to break his charm and fear effects.

Lol some people saying Jasmine shoulda seen Squing eating the deeds coming, but like, Emilia wouldn't have known this weird vampire baby eats paperwork What reason would she have NOT to let someone look at and verify what she was saying was true?
That's what dice rolls are for! Call for a contested insight vs. deception/persuasion to see if Squing can hide his intentions well enough. If my NPCs had to take everything vaguely reasonable sounding my players say at face value then social encounters wouldn't do that much now would they. By her reaction it's obvious that she didn't even consider the possibility. In this case it _was_ Jasmine failing to pay attention, not her NPC.
@@daniellemurnett2534to be fair though what is insight going to tell you? He wants the letter? @@connorblack99 Let's see. In this scenario, I'd say a successful insight check would tell them that Squing is planning to defile or destroy the letter. It’s unhinged to get to “he’s gonna eat that letter” from what has happened in the scene so far. Even seeing a hungry vampire is probably not enough to get them to truly expect the right thing. And they do need to show that they own the house in order to prove their claim, or they will get their ass kicked regardless.
Dimension 20 has its fair share of players outsmarting and embarassing GMs. Operation Slippery Puppet comes to mind.
