It helped a lot , whether it was on places to visit, how to get around what to see, what to eat , train to Sevilla from Madrid etc.... Mr, Galvez, thank you for this video as it was very helpful in choosing my Barcelona hotel. I booked Hotel Andante for 3 nights before my MSC Seaview cruise. I have an easy metro connection from Sants station, as we come from Madrid by train, and then we can walk to the cruise bus from our hotel on the day of the cruise. Thank you for all your practical videos. I have seen most of your videos and they have been very helpful.

Hi Tony, I just returned from a trip to Barcelona and the Costa brava area few days ago. Even though this was my fifth trip to Spain, I was marveling at how much watching your videos in the few months before I left had helped me. Even though I had driven in Spain before your description of the different types of roads in Spain was just amazing.
With regard to areas to stay I always enjoyed staying in Europa Fira in Hospitalet. I love the easy access to all areas of the city as well as the airport. There is a very nice shopping mall with restaurants (Gran Villa 2). This time I stayed at the Hampton Inn by Hilton. It is an efficient clean hotel with a free breakfast. It is just steps from the metro. My sincere thanks for what you do.
Thank you so much, Gwen. We have stayed at the Fira region a bunch of times and we also like the region - but it is imperative you stay when there is no activity at the trade fair. Hotel prices are much more affordable and, as you discovered, transport connections to the centre are excellent. All the best!

P.S. I think Acta Voraport is also a good choice with prices somewhere between the basic and mid-range category.

Hi Tony, thanks for all of your videos full of information! When you discussed the Poblenou Travel Lodge, did you use the Train and if you did which station? We are going to be staying at Lugaris and are trying to decide about traveling ti the city center and surrounds via train and/or walking and were wondering about your experience in this area. On a slightly similar note, do you have a good barcelona street map recommendation? I am trying to find a portable, but readable, map of Barcelona that we can carry with us to get around. I know most people use their phones, but I prefer good old, printed maps. Thank you in advance!

Hi Barbara, the nearest metro station to Lugaris is Poblenou, but it's quite a distance away. Your best choice is bus H16, which as well as being more fun than the metro, will take you to the heart of Barcelona. It's been a really long time since we last used a paper map, but you should be able to get one for free from the tourist office. All the best!

Hello Tony - I stayed at El Palace Hotel last year and am travelling again in a couple of weeks and planning to stay there again. I really loved it. It is expensive but I felt it was worth it. Would be interested on your thoughts on it.
Hi Ana, it is a Barcelona classic, formerly the Ritz. Good for those looking for a classic standard of luxury accommodation. You should always choose those hotels where you felt good! We can share our general advice but what matters is your personal experience!

Hello, Tony - My husband and I are getting ready for a 3-month trip to France, Spain, and Portugal. We have been watching your videos for several months now, and we want to thank you for your great information. It has helped me so much (I am the planner, reservationist, etc.), and I would have been lost without you. Your good humor and obvious love for Spain and Portugal come through in all of your comments. I just have a couple of questions if you would have the time to answer.
1. I have been looking for a train from Bilbao to Madrid, and it seems there are only 2 per day on the Renfe site which are both inconvenient (7 am or 3:20 pm)(4 hrs, 28 min or 6 hrs, 25 min). Is this correct or am I missing something? I think our best option is a flight which takes 1 hour. Your comment, please.
2. I have also been looking for a train from Biarritz, France to Bilbao, Spain. It seems there is nothing direct. I'm opting for a bus. Does that seem correct?
3. Most important!! We are renting a car in southern France and will be dipping into Barcelona for 5 days. We don't want to drive in Barcelona, so we are thinking of finding a car park in Badalona. Our other option is to stay in Girona overnight, take the train into Barcelona, and leave the car in Girona. I have found car parking sites on the internet, but don't know who to trust. Any suggestions?

Our family will be ending our cruise adventure in Barcelona in August.We'd like to explore Barcelona for a couple days. 6 Adults 1 child. Would you recommend an AIRBNB for a group our size or do you know of any places with 2-3 bedrooms or do we just need to purchase 3 rooms at a boutique hotel? Love the precise content in your videos. Hi John, in Barcelona , we stay away from AirBnb because of the terrible impact their growth has had in the lives of the locals of Barcelona. AirBnb is a curse for Barcelona. You could try an apart-hotel. If you search in Booking it will show you accommodation alternatives with larger rooms. All the best!

In terms of location none of the are central, but W is a Barcelona icon.

I read some reviews that people mentioned that the rooms were quite small and there was very little area to put your things. No chairs, tables, etc. Did you run into these issues during your stay there or there is enough places to put your things? Thank you again.
@@linkinthebio27 hi Dmitriy, it all depends on where you come from. From an American, the rooms will definitely feel tiny. And the furniture is minimalist. We stayed on a short trip with cabin luggage and few clothes and were fine. But the rooms are small.
How is novotel barcelona city hotel?
It is a chain hotel with a business profile. It's not in the center of Barcelona but it is well connected by metro, tram and buses.
