Actually you dont need a gaming PC. I was able to stream beat saber with no problems on my bad Lenovo laptop. Ill be streaming tomarrow at 1:00pm on my youtube channel. However i have no green screen. :/ you see how the no gaming pc works is on PCVR your pc needs to run the game, stream/capture the game and croma key you put to make the effect. With the oculus quest the game is being run directly on the head set so all the computer needs to do is record and croma key your out. A whole lot of stress is taken out. Hope i helped. :)

Hey man, recent subscriber here, I've seen some of your videos since I've really created an unhealthy obsession for VR all of a sudden (heh). Anyways, its amazing how far it has come, but since you look like you know the variants (props for easy to understand scripts, and the editing is also very good) and have felt the longevity of each set, as an experienced person that is really a fan of this expanding technology, what VR set do you find yourself using more? I know you explain in some of your videos your thoughts, and you try to be as unbiased as possible, but you, as a person, which do you find using more? I understand preference comes from person to person but as fanatic as you are (and I'm starting to be), I assume you just want the best day-to-day, long-time experience. Keep making videos man, I (and your fans I'm sure) really appreciate you for doing this, it sure is something that needs to grow, as a community of game developers and general playerbase, so that the companies might get more attention to this simulation genre. OMG! The Oculus Quest is getting so much better but since it's sold out I have to look on the web for ages. The way I can get something like this is until Xmas because Im a child. I had and having dreams of getting the quest but then I wake up and cry. I searched for selling apps(like letgo and offerup) I even searched up on giveaways. I wish they werent out of stock.

I've already streamed my quest completely wireless. I used side quest for video and I used a wireless dongle from my guitar along with a quarter inch to 3.5mm adapter and put the receiver in the line in on my pc and the transmitter on the headset and I use OBS to stream so I'm all set just need a green screen. I can use a GoPro hero 7 for a cam
Thanks for this tutorial. Would this approach also be applicable if playing on SteamVR via Virtual Desktop? What would the recommended setup be in that case?

So for audio, does that mean you can just plug a pic into the 3.5 port on the oculus and clip the mic to your shirt? Or do you specifically need an audio recording device?

having some difficulty setting it up with the new quest 2, not as straight forward as you show in the video. but i will try again when i have time. trying to set up with beat saber.

Oh man, coming back to this video in 2024 and seeing the old Quest IU. I miss it soo bad compared to what we have now, I don’t want any new features, I just want them to fix the UI.
Can you compare the subpack, bhaptics, and woojer strap and vest. That would be an awesome video. Also the open beta for echo VR quest opens on May 5th. You should a video on it as well it’s an amazing game to have on quest.

For me, personally, there were perhaps too many "For me, personally" in this video. Otherwise, it's a pretty cool trick, though I doubt many people have all the equipment to do this.

Hey, just to let you know, you can capture the quests audio through MRC tools, it is under Quest MRC. Hope it helps :)

Could you please show how to use the LIV application? Been trying to figure it out for a while, and I can’t find other tutorials on it yet.
It would be so awesome to use it on a rotating camera rig where the center of rotation was right above the user, so it can turn towards whatever the person is looking at!
I tried and it realy work well goooood but i have one question. Is there any way to maximized the game screen(i mean bigger game background)?? Its too small.

Hi I need help. Im trying to connect through camera calibration tool. At first it says my oculus quest is found and its ip address and double checked it and its the same IP add., now calibration has been done and I see that the calibration tool is connected on the heAdset but when I save the calibration on headset, it says its not connected.. i tried continuing the process but it doesn’t seem to work. I have done calibrAtion a million times but it doesnt seem to be working. I wonder what Im missing.
I am going to be doing something like this for my Rift S..But I had a question. Since I have carpet in the area where I will be recording VR, What are my options for spanning the greenscreen onto the floor? I was looking at possibly ordering some of those foam tiles off amazon, but not sure if there is maybe a better option out there? (The ones that fit together like puzzle pieces...I already painted two walls green)
Damn, that looks just so impressive, Mike - but maybe be sure to always have a "tether" set to a timed winch, so you can yank yourself out of this matrix like vortex at a pre determined time...……………………… well, that's if you WANT TOO!!! of course ; )))

I find that they seem to restock them really fast on Best Buy Canada. Not sure If they will ship them to other countries though.

Been trying to set up green screen for a while using virtual green screen software. Works relatively well when near the camera but not for full room scale VR. Guess I'm going to need to invest in a actual green screen
