    This is really amazing since I don't have much space to film within my house. Having EVERYTHING on one stand is simply... priceless!

    If you were just starting, but easily had the budget would you start with this setup? Or would say - start w iPhone, a lapel mic, and tripod (it’s what I have). But I tend to like to buy the right thing for longer term success…but also have a tendency to buy too much.

      What iPhone do you have? Anything newer than a 12 will work just fine for most things. If you're struggling with consistency, it's probably best to work with what you have for now until you've got a good and reliable content creation method. If you're already consistent in creating than for the upgrade!

    How do you get different color on the wall without shadows, I have yellow walls when I put the light on it create a white shadow on the wall how can I fix that problem?

      The tube lights in this video are just set on shelves, the bar lights (vertical) are screwed on to light stands via 1/4 inch threads

    I really dig this. I saw peters video too. Your setup is a bit more… normal? I felt like his was SUPER pro. Trying to figure out how I can adapt this for a dual camera rig with a top down shot.

      That’s a really interesting idea! I think you could do it though if you use a strong enough and long enough friction arm

    Idk if you could cover this, but could u do a tutorial on getting rid of back ground noise/noise dampening? I might have to record in a basement where our furnace always kicks on 10 feet away, also people walking upstairs makes a lot of noise as well.
    How do u record audio where it picks up just your voice/instrument? (I have a shure mv88+ mic)

    I built one of these following Caleb's original video, the one thing that people do not think about (or I didnt) is it is ONLY good if you want to use a VERY wide angle lens or have your head take up the whole screen, because the light is right next to the camera you can not really get your whole upper body in the shot without the light being in wrong place, and adding a microphone makes this problem even worse. The solution?? Leave the camera out of it, just get a light tripod and that way your light and microphone are on one stand and its super convenient.

    Hey Ben, thank you for making this video. How are movies edited and renderd ? I've recently downloaded a 1hr 30mins movie. I've downloaded the highest quality available (1080p) and it's size was just 1.24GB
    But I recorded a 10mins video with my smart phone and the size was 1.11 GB and it was raw footage! Please clear my doubt Thank you.

      Great question! In short, the raw video footage is always a lot bigger than the final output especially for web size uploads like TH-cam :)
      For example, this video of mine that you watched was around 3gb at the final
      Export, but the raw footage for it was close to 100gigs

      It’s all in the exporting, when you export a video there are a lot of factors like resolution and bit rate that will determine the size

      @@deanzenas. there’s not really such a thing, it all depends on what your final delivery is, but if you are doing things for TH-cam, they have articles on what they recommend :)
