Thanks for your raw report! I think this is the first normal ride video, not professional review or something and it's so precious to have this type of video in early stage of delivery. Super excited and can't wait to test ride by myself.
I'll be 68 when I take delivery of my Emira. I've been driving sports cars ever since my first car a Datsun 510 with independent suspension way back in '72. I figure this is a great way to finish my driving career...:) I've had Panteras, Mustangs, Corvettes, and all were fun but I think the Emira is the one that will most match (beat) the handling of that 510. Can't wait, thanks Lotus!!!
That's amazing, so many different cars and different eras. The Emira should be a fantastic last hurrah to internal combustion so you've chosen well I think!
I like the fact that you directly put track mode 😂😂, i’ll do the same if i buy one. Sounds great for a 400 HP tbh, if tuned it can compete with « real supercar »…
@@LueysGarage I’m sure some people will get theirs this year. I was a little late putting my deposit in so I’m just hoping it will make it by next year.
Great video!! Getting me hyped for mine love the look and interior tech upgrade over the Evora lineup. Hate the US 1st deliveries are being pushed from November to March next year but I'm feeling fortunate to be able to get one so I'm being patient. Lotus ICE going out with a pop and bang another feature I'm glad they added. Still love my Evora 400 but the Emira is beautiful. I hope it doesn't get jealous 😅
@@jimmymak8942 no worries, check out my new channel I started with a friend, we've just uploaded some Emira content on there as well. Its focused more on car reviews and impressions th-cam.com/channels/W8lRtKgMk8C1KxnQEjEJXQ.html
@@LueysGarage i am in the market for the exige 410 but now thinking i need this. I like the raw edge exige but since not interested in track racing what u reckon? Price is similar but u get way more a car with the emira
@@adjrasta9365 this is actually a really tough question, both have pros and cons. I'd say if you wanted an absolute pure driving experience with no extras then get the Exige, it'll probably be faster on track too. If you wanted to be able to drive the car more and you do mainly road driving then the Emira is definitely a better overall package and car. If you have passengers all the time or go on long trips the Emira is better
@@LueysGarage ok cheers, looks like i will hve to wait till i test drive the emira to make up my choice. A friend who owns an importing cars business was trying to convince me towards a cayman gt4 manual but it looks too much like a girls car from outside but interior is pure class
There was no mechanical fault, just pre-production issue I believe. This car has been travelling across the world for a number of months so I don't think its been updated for a while
Yeah have to be extra aware and careful with such a low car as well. I haven't driven an Evora before, I think the Emira is pretty loud from the outside, it might just be some extra interior refinement/sound deadening making it sound quieter. The power is still great, there's plenty of torque so it doesn't feel underpowered at all
It’s a shame the dealership took such a young novice driver out in a car like this, through main city or suburban streets. It really did nothing to demonstrate the cars strengths.
Glad you think I'm young...novice maybe not since I've owned 2 Lotuses and about 10 other cars, done multiple track days and often get complaints at car club drives I drive too fast 🤣 but since its a prototype car and left hand drive instead of right hand drive the dealer only let me drive on a specific route while sitting next to me. Looking forward to doing a proper review once we get the production cars in NZ 😊

happy to see a pov of an emira! definitely wanting to get one of these while they're still being made

Amazing ! Thanks for the upload - jeez when that Ute pulled out 💀💀
Yeah I couldn't believe it, lucky I was paying attention!
Damn, it sounds so good, looks superb and if it drives like a lotus i guess i get one in the Future, maybe the 4 Cyl amg with the 139 Engine.
Its a popular car already and they haven't even got any demo cars yet!
Thanks for the video!
Enjoyed that mate ..cheers
Much room behind the seat ? ...
There is quite a bit of space, enough for 2 carry on suitcases
Thanks for quick reply !
Enjoyed the POV .....good luck with the channel

So long as its not so civilised like the evora & a touch too boring

Was that a Morris Marina at 5.00!?
Why the hand on steering wheel😮
You're right it is a Morris Marina!!! Good spotting 😁

You reviewed this car before Jay Leno!
Is that the secret 😅 need to do that more often then!

Thank you for your report, I’d buy one.
Looking forward to driving the RHD version!
