Usually a fan of HWS content but this one kinda misses. Recommending based on the specs alone is kind of disappointing, and not something I would expect from HWS. Quality control? Dead pixel policy? However, I still think that there is some value into looking to those sharing their experiences (Singaporean locals pa yan ha)--especially given that these are not just bad reviews, but rather there's actually a consensus about Prism (not only with their monitor, but all products in general) within multiple subreddits related to Singapore (r/AskReddit & r/Singapore). In our context, for example, Nvision's reputation is because of it's bad line of reviews and people reporting their experiences over time. People didn't get "novision" meme out of nowhere, it's based on real, repeated bad experiences. Oct 2022 to now (6 months) isn't enough to test it, since durability isn't necessarily always a problem this early. Sure, maybe "malas" sila sa unit, or siguro consider din natin the possibility that maybe "swerte" ka sa unit? Hard to tell without actual data, but consensus within a community isn't built out of nowhere. Balik ulit natin sa Nvision, I've had an 22" Nvision monitor as a 2nd monitor for about 3 or 4 years now. Would I consider Nvision a good company just because my product didn't fail (despite considerably higher failure rates reported online)? Still, no. I may have just gotten lucky. Consensus matters. And yes, there's a lot of factors to mention and consider--which is exactly the problem with this video. All they did was they mentioned the 3 specs (1440P, 144Hz, 27") without consideration for other factors that might play into considering a good monitor, especially since monitors are typically one of the PC peripheral that lasts between multiple computers. Like I said, pano na yung qual control, ghosting, dead pixel policy? It's just disappointing, given their "no bs store" reputation.
I also have this brand. The x240 curved. Pretty good for the price and the refresh rate. With a stunning 3 years warranty too! However, all of their monitors available in PH are VA panels. Which is a let down.
This is a pretty good competitor for the cost-effective into to Ultrawide kasi we help our fellow ASEAN countries and not feed the South Korean brands a little too much since 12k isn't a half-bad option for one's first ultrawide monitor.
I've been using this since early Oct 2022 up to present and mounted (for at least 12 hours a day everyday). Zero issues both for work and play. Would I buy another one? Yes for a dual set up because of accounting-related work.
