Watch the new improved version FULL HD!!
• Dream Theater Instrume...
This is a tribute to one of the best gathering of musicians of all times. The best progressive band ever. Finally, full version! And with justice made to Portnoy! He deserved to be at the central frame at the drum transition!
Be sure to watch it at least four times!
Or watch them alone, if you will!
Portnoy: • Dream Theater Instrume...

This is an excellent performance by him
ok........ that's so cruel 😄😄😄😄😄
fuck
Especially with lyrics written by John Muyng!
Whoops, that's another ruined T shirt.
Epic 👍😂
Lyrics by John Myung
Lol😂
LOL what an underrated comment hahahaha

Best comment ever😂
That Hell's Kitchen ending gets me every time. One of the best DT moments.
Agree! I actually came to this just to listen to it again. The impact is WONDERFUL!
you are right
Perfect finishing touch
Yeah its so beautiful
11:04 feliz natal, happy chistmas, feliz ano novo, and happy New year.
these guys aren't human
Dayum Son agree
John Petrucci is God
Mike Portnoy is Jesus
John Myung is a robot
Jordan Rudess is a wizard
James Labrie is a dude
+C_C_Syrup That last part made me laugh because it's so true.

best Labrie performance eva
Original.
Hahahaha...win
this was cruel :)
hahahaha.
Hes somewhere chilling behind, best part about his job i guess
This whole gig at the Budokan is one of their best ever, and this medley is, pound for pound, THE most insane and difficult piece they ever performed live. Absolutely terrifying technique and memorization by all four Gods.
I don't think is possible to exist a more difficult guitar song than this.
Agreed!
@@legattostacatto4805 Try anything from Allan Holdsworth, even John had hard time playing his music
@@legattostacatto4805 except most of any jazz song.
@@vladv5126 a lot of jazz guiatarrists dont have the chops to play this song man, ur tripping
Marvel: Infinity War is the most ambitious crossover ever.
DT: Hold my drink...
DT: We are in the end game now
Play it at 1.5x speed. It looks like:
- Portnoy is on crack
- Myung has parkinson's
- Petrucci is practicing like in a normal day
- Rudess is having the best day in his life
A better idea go listen to watchtower or blotted science.
😂😂😂
11:04 feliz natal, happy chistmas, feliz ano novo, and happy New year.
In 2x speed very fuck Hard haha
hHhhHhHHAHA
Nothing fazes John Myung. He's just totally low key about his astounding playing. Mike Portnoy, John Petrucci, and Jordan Rudess look like they're shredding their asses off; and John just quietly and confidently kills it on bass.
That's the bass way, right? If it looks like you're trying really hard you need to practice more. :D
@@stoutlager6325 I'm imagining Robert Trujilo seeing your comment haha
8:36 That moment when you realize that you are the only person there that wasn't in LTE
11:03 - That smile that never misses to appear on my face, especially looking at MP so mischievously enjoying what he does and keeping eye contact with his buddy. Life was a little better back then :)
in fact, petrucci is making eye contact with jordan, not portnoy.
13 years later and it’s a concert I keep coming back to.
Man, Portnoy has so much stage presence...
yeah and we miss that u.u
This is my last instrumental soundtrack, all performed by myself, there is a lot of DT and progressive metal taste in it, i hope you enjoy!

Definitely the best DT drummer!
Helloooooo he's back bitches
DT : So Mike, what time signature are you gonna play for this song?
Mike : Yes.
It’s all over the fucking place. Let’s say 4/4
😂😂😂😂😂
The Lyrics are so meaningful....
Masterpiece.
Of all times
These guys are GODS! I still can't believe how insane this is. After all these years this still just seems an unbelievable performance, just out of this world! For me, these 4 guys will always be the most technically skilled and creative rock/metal artists.
i totalllyyyyy aggre with u
John as a Catholic wouldnt like that
They were definetly in their prime here. I watched this first time when I was 15, I'm now 30 and in this past 15 years I haven't found any other instrumentalists that can compose and perform at this level. Some can come close sometimes, but this was and still is just insane.
And I think the creative part is very important - i'm not so fan of liquid tension experiment covers by sherinian, mcAlpine, billy sheehan, and they're all beasts too
lol Rudess and Petrucci's heads at 2:03
haha the synergy is in everything man
hahahahahah you mad genius..
i noticed more where they were trying to synchronize in 11:03
Also at 11:53
4 of one of the very best musicians in their instruments playing together...wow

I like it, but acid rain still beats it!
11:25 what John is trying to do there is ingenious..i could hear that in my head, the roar of the crowd right in that spot is a gem you'd have to pay attention to. Love it!

Best medley ever. Chuck Norris refused to play this live ha !
3:04 portnoy throws his stick and misses lol
the only error in the entire piece and it didn't even affect his playing lol
He always does that...
A classic.
But it respawned quickly so it doesn’t matter
jajajaja yess
Haha yeah he literally always does that... you'd think the amount of times he does it he would have it down by now 😂 doesn't affect his playing at all though... also helps that he has an amazing Tech
this could bring me to tears...it is like their last song for the actual "THE" Dream Theater....all my fave songs combined
That ending still hits like the first time. I wish the bells were in the album version
You know you're watching amazing musicians when they're so fast that the camera frame rate can't capture their hands. What a beautiful blur!
that transition from dance of eternity into metropolis in the beginning was so smooth i didn’t even notice it at first
4:27 proves that if humanity were to go to doom, John Myung would save everybody.
And he'd remain completely silent during the whole process haha.

I love how they all come together at the end around the drum kit. I’ve ran out of ways of saying how perfect this is…..musically and technically flawless
4:27 “bass is the easiest instrument” the people who think that try to copy Myung’s style.
Well i guess people thinking that are watching pop rock artists where all you do is a basic bass line with slow playing notes, makes sense lol
if Mozart was alive he listened DT...
If Mozart was alive, he'd be drinking with Dream Theater!
He’d be infront conducting..
and Symphony X too
8:35-10:22 John and Jordan doubling these parts....Words cannot express!
6:12 petrucci`s face like WTF MIKE ? hahahahaha
and jordan like :D
Miung -.-
i just noticed that. no fucking way was that solo improv'd I always thought it was purposefully included. Guess Portnoy just got lost in the moment lol good stuff to everyone for adapting instantly though
What a Laugh HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
LOL
man this is gold xD
Hahahhaahha
Even Mangini is magnificent, but Portnoy is Dream Theater's soul...
Its like Van Halen. Sammy Hagar's Van Halen was great but it was never going to be David Lee Roth's Van Halen
you are right my friend .. you are right ..
Mangina
Portnoys great but Gawd I hate his drum sound
@@albertvasu1077 Its just too highly mixed. This has been an issue for their entire career. Drums have been overmixed and bass/keyboards were undermixed

Damn, I have just been watching their new live performances from 2019. Oh my god, the difference between Portnoy and Mangini is fucking unbelievable - Portnoy's dynamics and power completely changes the game, he's a beast. And with those soft drum petting of Mangini they don't even seem to have fun on the stage anymore...
DT is all about tremendous talent and unfathomable passion for music
This must be one of the greatest music videos of all times! It's absurd!

I got to see DT in 2008. One of the best shows I've ever been to. There was a song that I heard and loved and had forgotten all about, until 11:02 (Hell's Kitchen). When I first watched this video at that very moment, I got the shivers. THAT was the song I remembered hearing after all those years.
