Never heard of this band until tonight! Whoooooaaaaa!!! Had to grab the handles on my recliner to keep from getting blown about 20 feet backwards! Petruzzi is a master guitarist, Portnoy comes as close to Peart as any drummer I have ever seen. Levins is playing a bass I am totally unfamiliar with, and Squire, Pastorius, et al probably never dreamed of it. Buress (sp?) is playing a Roland that I would die for...and would spend the rest of my life not getting to half as good as him. Wow! Just freaking wow!
This is really a masterpiece concert from one of the most amazing bands of all time! As simple as that!!! An unique, creative and powerful endeavour. Give me more!!! More new albuns, please!!!
These guys have some serious endurance man.. that was such a super intense performance session and they played flawlessly. Bet they slept well that night.
Kindred Spirits will always be my favourite LTE track. The harmonized solo between Jordan and John at 16:42 is an absolute masterclass. The outro of the entire song still gives me goosebumps, and I have been listening to this song between 300 and 400 times a year since I first heard it, and that was in 2004.
I am quite shocked that their are only 143k views on this over 7 years! Knowing that I account for hundreds of those I'm in shock that this hasn't reached the millions yet.
Me myself have also seen this several times but sadly it doesn`t count for more than one time when you use the same IP adress. It has counted upwards since you put in this comment but yeah - should have been more. Lovely music with real artists.

Awesome, awesome music and performance. Beautiful, rich, complex and virtuous. Such a pleasure to hear and watch this master class musicians. I only wish they the would make more music like this. I listened to it many times. I can't get enough of it. Maybe just orchestral TD? One could only wish, right? Bravo John, Mike, Jordan and Tony. I wish I was there.
All due to John's broken amp, so most of it is pure improv. Only when John successfully played the first notes on his new kit did Jordan revert to the original song. What an amazing solo!
Have not heard about the band before - my fault - but as it was running in the backgroun, I felt it was Dream Theater... and surprise, surplrise, when I had a look at the video, I recognized John, Jordan and Mike... Great music, like always! Thanks to Champion for sharing...

Man! I wish I could find a copy of this DVD. This is a masterpiece in anyone's estimation. I have the albums, but the live performance is the best way to hear this music. It also allows for expansion of the ideas in the songs.
A lot has been said about these 4 guys---their achievements, excellence in their craft, there's them-and-everyone-else with their instruments, etc. And they've certainly earned it. But these guys are explorers. Successful explorers. They find continents and other worlds every time. Oh, and I'd hate to be a cymbal, string, key, or pick in these guys' hands. You get no rest and the shit beat out of ya. :) Sweet misery, for sure. Bravo LTE.

DT until 2000's was the good old fun super dream girlfriend. Nowadays' DT is the old-fashioned boring waiting-for-a-divorce wife. LTE is their getaway fun lover. Guess who's the ugly one. In 20 years I'm yet to change my mind about DT's biggest perdition. They're their biggest enemies musically (not technically) speaking, yet the only one who always had some sense of leadership and direction (even if wrong sometimes), left the poker table on time. Mike Portnoy. Now they're considering a LTE reunion. Remember these words. The same way LTE once was Jordan's way into DT, this next LTE will open the door back into the band for Portnoy. Now, if so, I hold hope Mike precisely will be the only one having the balls to say, "I'm back in but this vocal chordless rooster is out for good of the band, which he should've been for more than 10 years". Seriously I hope James has a couple more of those poisoned makis he had back then, (musically speaking), and someone with the voice the likes of Russell Allen to join in just as Robotnik substituted Portnoy and give DT the last awesome kick of musical awesomeness their careers deserve and should have never given up on. A bit like all these "Iron Maiden's wasted years" in between, with detrimental ever going down parrot (Labrie) finally leaving for good. Like Odisseus' Oddissey back home, for the band. Triumphant, champion of Ithaca.
What's the point on beating a dead horse? For me DT die when Portnoy left, I tried listening to the albums moving forward and couldn't stand it - the answer is simple, what was once no longer is - and I HIGHLY doubt that Portnoy returning would change things especially considering that DT's success did not diminish with his departure. Let bygones be bygones. Enjoy what he does, if there's an LTE reunion then GREAT! if not there always to old stuff to enjoy, MP and JP recently reunited and MP played on JP's new solo album so there's that to look forward.

What's the point on beating a dead horse? For me DT die when Portnoy left, I tried listening to the albums moving forward and couldn't stand it - the answer is simple, what was once no longer is - and I HIGHLY doubt that Portnoy returning would change things especially considering that DT's success did not diminish with his departure. Let bygones be bygones. Enjoy what he does, if there's an LTE reunion then GREAT! if not there always to old stuff to enjoy, MP and JP recently reunited and MP played on JP's new solo album so there's that to look forward.
