The first week I played this, I remember how tired my bow arm got. Thankfully, teacher fixed my bow arm mechanics. I've had Grumiaux's recording since the 1960s. This young man is an excellent player.
Why was there only one clap at the end 😂😂 this was great *added 3y later* Dudes I know how a piece of music goes. 🙄 there IS a thing of musicians only playing movements of a piece. Like seriously take the comment for what it is, a compliment to the musician
@@liuyang3109that's not normal... You can't play viotti as It was Brahms.. that's even not a Matter of taste, that's respect for the composer and the piece... If you play Bach and Tchaikovsky in the same way you are just boring.. Just like a painter you can't paint 2 different paintings with the same monotonous colour. Please note that, although this is some fantastic violin playing, and it's a beautiful piece, Bielman has here committed an entirely unpardonable sin, for which he should be outcast from the music community and probably exterminated: He played a concerto with piano reduction on a recital. I have been told that one never does that. Again, never mind that both violinist and pianist sounded just fine. (PS: If you like this piece, check out Lola Bobesco's recording. Less nuanced but grittier and more forceful ... much more mid-20th-century style.)
By far the greatest performance of this concerto. I’m preparing this piece for a high school audition and I greatly appreciate this for reference.
How did it go ?
He expressed the deepest sorrow through his play . Absolutely love it!
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the beautiful piano playing as well
It’s like HEAVEN
Very elegant way of playing… as always with Benjamin Beilman 🎻
I am 13,playing violin for 6y and learning this... VERY hard! He is so good!
מה קורה, ראיתי ישר שאת.ה ישראלי.ת, מגניב שאפשר ככה להתראות ברנדומליות!
Same I’m playing this piece as well
This Helped me so much to improve
Me too
Absolutly amazing!!! 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

I’ve been spending the past year and a half trying to fix my mechanics.
By far it was the greatest concerto I have heard and thank you because I am preparing it for my exam
Sounding so professional!
That cadenza was really nice
Do you know which author's cadence is this? It’s not David Ferdinand?
I think he made by him self
Excellent work
Beautiful 😍
just beautiful.
믿고 보는 선우예권! 역시나 최고!!!
Wonderful!!!!
beauty full.. viotti's sadness recreated into may 2016, applausesesese...
You are so great. Thx a lot for the video. 💯😻👍
You're welcome!
Fantastic...
Molto bravissimo!
Such beautiful performance! Does anyone know which version this piano accompaniment and violin cadenza is? where can I find the music?
Подскажите, где можно найти именно эту обработку ?
2악장은 왜 없는지요?
넘 아름다운 악장인데~흑
피아노 넘 잘치네 하고 보니 선우예권님!!!

Probably because it was just the first movement
Yeah, the fans of classical music usually clap when the whole piece is over. It's a faux pass to clap between the movements.
Because you do not clap between movements. What he played was just the first movement of a concerto.
Because the clap comes when the whole piece is over, not between movements.
The video Would have been better to edit out that paultry applause at the end, but besides that, Superb performance 👏👏👏
My violin teacher said "very good!"
And I think so, too~!
So do we, thank you!
@김다혜 Oh~Very good!!
"Tema e Variazioni in Do maggiore" is what Frenchs call their national anthem, composed in 1781, by Viotti that is an Italian artist.
No but very similar
Good
I have heard different recordings of this movement, and each artist adds different embellishments. Is that standard/okay for Viotti or something?
Yes a lot of performers do that. They sometimes even improvise for the cadenza right on the spot! It. Is normal :)
But this cadenza is composed by Kreisler I think

Do you know which violin he used for this performance?
Прекрасное исполнение! ❤
Hello! I really like your performance of this concerto. I would like to ask for notes of the cadence if possible 🙏🏽. Thank you.
The same!!! I need the notes of the cadence too
😱❤️
What is the composer of the cadenza ?? I did play with the Joachim myself. But this one might be even better 😃
Oh it was the Kreisler one. I have it somewhere in my archive, Might try it out
whole thing was a cadenza it seems
totally agree
That's kind of what you get when a violinist writes a violin concerto: Lots of "violinistic" passages.
who is the cadenza´s composer?
Kreisler ^^
which cadenza is that?
would like to know as well
@@San-lh8us Kreisler cadenza
which edition is this with the cadenza? Who wrote the cadenza. I have the garbage schirmer edition only
Kreisler?
It’s on IMSLP
Touch my heart
Kreisler said this was Brahms’s favorite violin concerto
Which cadenza? Very good performance.
Pretty much the whole thing was a modified cadenza, but it was very good.

Wow my favorite recording! better than perlman so expressive.
👌
isnt the style a bit romantic for viotti?
My violin teacher recommended this song to me.
piece
Mine too, learning it now for a competition
"Song" how Sacraligieous not even sure I spelt it right
mine too, this concert is very beautiful

what instrument is he playing on?
Clarnet
OK but nothing special.
I assume you are inferring to your life

No u
He's supposed to hire an orchestra? I've heard lots of student and semi-professional players perform concertos with piano! No sin.
