- This is GONE - when first released about 6 years ago, this trick remained as the number 1 best selling trick for almost a year, but I never shared the real secret, my preferred method, until now. In this video I teach 3 methods for achieving GONE…. The Magician places a card in his back pocket, then invites the participant to play a game of ‘word association.’ The Magician says his thought-of card - the 9 of Clubs, and asks which playing card this makes the participant think of. Whichever playing card they name, it will always be the card that the magician placed in his pocket at the start, and as the deck is in order, where their card was, is now the Magicians 9 of Clubs. This is as powerful and impactful as it gets, grab a deck of cards and learn with Suzan and I.

I like how as a newcomer to magic, i can tell you're doing something since it's a magic trick, can tell when what you had to do was done, yet still have no idea what the move itself is because of how cleanly and naturally you're doing it.

I really like this application. I was toying with a similar method, a few years ago, for using NDO (new deck order) to pull off the Invisible Deck effect with a regular pack. This gets me thinking it’s not as unworkable as those early experiments seemed to indicate.

Bruh a long time ago I had a different account and I came back and subbed again SOULLY because of the trick you did on an intro with two cards in one hand and you pulled the back one to the front one handed, then did a tutorial for it, now I’ve forgotten it so I have to find it again

What in the name of Suzy Sausage!? I love that you're revisiting this. I especially love the more difficult sleight. For my longer than normal hands and fingers, it's immensely easier. The only thing bothering me is that I'm a card magic lefty. If I try to mirror this for an easy riffle, pinky break, there are no indices. I have to do it upside down with a weird flip or find another way.

I absolutely love this trick and how fair it is. One question I have is what if they name a playing card that is too close to the bottom or top of the deck like the two of spades? Should I do the trick as normal or should I do something different since it might not be as impressive if the 9 of clubs is too close to the bottom or top of the deck at the end of the trick?
