    I think I will be using these settings from now on. Didn't realize how much of a difference the wind noise setting made! Great video!

    Awesome video ! thank you so much ! Would Hypersmooth also be the reason that I see the black fish-eye frame coming in when I go around corners in the car? Thanks again

    Anyone want to see an example of how Hypersmooth makes videos look 'floaty' watch my current driving videos (Tesla FSD)
    I'm changing all my settings as of today to as close to the settings in this video, and will be trying to get a better look going forward
    Cheers and thanks for the recommendations!

    Hi Brett thank you for the informative video.
    Can you please recommend any setting changes to suit a go pro side mounted to a helmet, used in motorsports?

    Great information and examples. One thing Im trying to sort, is shutter speed. I want natural motion blur and also will be mixing and matching footage from mirrorless 4k/24 1/50 shutter. I dont think you're using any ND filters to get motion blur closer to what "we're used to". Why or why not?

    How would film through the windshield and avoid glare and reflections? The polarized filter is great but does not allow to use anamorphic lens.

    I wish you had made some sharp turns with hyper smooth on. I'm trying to figure out why my race car video keeps shifting every time the car turns. I thought it was caused by horizon leveling but I turned that off and the condition persists. Now I'm guessing it might be the hyper smooth doing it

    • @SideTripProductions
      @SideTripProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's definitely the hypersmooth!

      Thank you!
      I thought it had to do with the horizon leveling (which I guess is kind of related to the hypersmooth) but yesterday I switched off leveling and went with linear. That didn't work.
      I wanted to keep the leveling on because the racetrack has a lot of banking which looks cool when the horizon is kept level. When the horizon tilts you don't really notice the banking which really changes the feeling of the racetrack. Unfortunately I don't like the image moving left and right constantly. Perhaps with After effects I can keep it centered in the frame. I have no idea how to do that yet but maybe it's time to learn something new...
      Thanks again 🙂

    Thanks for this great video! Im not a regular photo or video enthusiast but have just ordered my first GoPro (10) to record a forthcoming 1,600 mile road trip from UK through France to some famous Swiss and Austrian alpine passes and back via the Black Forest B500 in Germany and will try your settings to practice beforehand. What do you suggest i use on my Mac to post edit everything? I may try time lapse on the boring motorways then reset to real time for the interesting routes although i will have 128 & 256 sandisk pro cards to store everything so i dont have to download until i get home.

    • @SideTripProductions
      @SideTripProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That sounds like an absolutely epic trip! I use Adobe Premiere Pro for editing as I work professionally in video, but you might be able to get away with the Gopro Quik software for this purpose!

    do you think this will be a good camera to have recording Overlanding trips in car not facing driver but capturing where we drive?? thanks

    • @SideTripProductions
      @SideTripProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Possibly! You might find for that sort of thing that the Hypersmooth function is actually a bit more useful too. One thing to bear in mind also is the battery life on these cameras is terrible, but if it's mounted inside you could run and external USB batt into it.

    I have questions : For how long can I record a video? And can I plug it in the charger while recording just to extend the time of recording? I am thinking about going on a road trip, I'd record it. Thanks.

    • @SideTripProductions

      You can have it plugged in to USB while filming but the door hangs open, duration depends on your card and settings
