      @@joeo2195 EXACTLY lol us content creators get used and abused. She said in another video GoPro didn’t send this to her. They should seriously send us products more often for review only so we truly know if it’s worth buying.

    I want to thank you, I've been using GoPro cameras since they became available. I wasn't going to watch this just because I was certain that I knew it all. But, you've given me some great practical information in the first 10 minutes. I could not be more impressed! You have a new subscriber, I'm grateful for content creators like you. I never shoot vertically. That lock setting alone was worth my time here today.

    Thank you so very much for your editorial video. You are awesome! I used to owned gopro I think it was GoPro hero black 4 or something like that, even though I ended up give to my nephew in law. I didn’t know how to use it. However, I decided to get another GoPro, because I have trip plan to visit Patagonia and Iguazu falls this coming November. I bought GoPro 11 Black Hero creator edition. I was regret it as soon as I opened package, because lack of set up information. Friends suggest TH-cam Editorial Videos but no hopes until I find yours, even though I had to rewind and play back more than enough times. I was disappointed by other videos, because they do not talked about how to set up as a beginners, and most of them are talking about products and making video. However, your editorial video wasn’t like others. You started with setting up different setting other other important information for the beginners like myself. I am very impressed by your video and yours was best. I will recommend to other friends who want to buy the GoPro. Just letting you know that you rocked and you are the BEST. Thank you.

    Thank you. Finally someone who speak my language. I don't know much about settings and how to get the best shot in most cases. My vids are either saturated or lack of quality (pixelated).
    I would also appreciate if you could make a video about how to shoot in low light, cloudy days and sunny days.🙏

    • @Gemini_Connect
      @Gemini_Connect  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So glad you found the video helpful! The Standard Preset settings will work in cloudy and daylight conditions. For low light, GoPro is not the best choice, but the ISO min/max section in Protune (middle of the video) will help you get the best results.

    Learned some new ideas about to use soon. I use for multicam work 3-4 GoPro Hero models, with GoProLabs firmware and with FutureVideo's Multi-View HD Pro 2, you can playback up to 8 views (or angles) in real-time without having to even render. I can get some great slow-mo effects as well using the high-frame rate settings.

  • @ForTheForsaken
    @ForTheForsaken ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hello Gemini, firstly thanks for the informative video, it is much appreciated. 6:33 I would like to ask if you have tried filming with higher FPS because I am not sure that it should automatically slow down your videos. Higher frames per second actually does have more frames in a second but it is still a second; you should be seeing more motion in a video because there are more frames from A to B and so, let's say: A man jumping in the air will be made up of more images (frames) which makes his motion more fluent.
    I have not tried more than 60fps yet but when I did try 60 my video was not slowed down; instead I just have an option to edit my video to half time without it being choppy because of the less total frames.

    That fisheye lens was where I was screwing up. I don't think I understood it the way gopro advertised it. Ur settings helped me remove that and find a balance between resolution and audio. I think I still need a mic if I want to do podcast style videos but for vlogging and going straight to TH-cam it's not bad. I was just tired and getting ready for work in my underwear kinda trying it out lol and I was able to make it look good even in my bedroom with my limited lighting, no make up etc.
    With that being said I wish I would have sprung for the creator edition. I see myself buying those accessories separately now but ur settings are a great place to start.

  • @timothylinn
    @timothylinn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    This is a really good, clearly explained video. I don't think I've seen one better on the GoPro 11 settings. I hope you do additional versions covering the photo and time lapse modes. There isn't much on TH-cam about these topics. Everyone seems to punt on these.
    I wish GoPro was more transparent about what was going on under the hood with some of these settings. That would allow me to make optimal choices for my use case. For example, the sensor has a native resolution. Cropping in for a tighter FOV is going to reduce resolution, even if they interpolate back to something approximating the native resolution. It's hard to make choices when the tradeoffs aren't transparent. You have a "Full Frame" preset but that really seems like a misnomer. If it uses Horizon Lock and Hypersmooth, it isn't using the full sensor resolution-at least based on my understanding of how these features work. It would be more accurate to just call it an "8:7" preset. (This isn't intended as a criticism but rather an illustration of my point.)
