There are a considerable number of children in Sri Lanka that we call as differently abled. But the social acceptance of them and their contribution to social progress is at a very low level. Many think that these people need sympathy because they are helpless in doing whatever they want to do. But that's not the truth; and we are not willing to accept that either. We certainly believe that they are not disabled, but they are differently abled. A simple re-arrangement of these few words would really mean a lot to them and it would change a lot too. Our mission is to prove this. We hope this music video will play a significant role in it.
THE SONG
This is the theme song of the stage play, "Human Touch" directed by Nalinda Premarathna, which brought out the impressive but long-hidden talent of the people we call as differently able, into the limelight.
THE ARTIST
Mekhala Gamage who performs in this music video is a visually challenged Singer from Middeniya,Ambilipitiya,Sri Lanka . She was Graduated from the University of Sri Jayawardanapura. She is looking forward to become a professional singer in the country and to be a role model to all the differently abled people.
