Very informative! I knew there were a few differences between the '33s and '34s, but not that many. '33 was such a breakthrough year in American auto design. Cars seem to be shedding the last vestiges of the old carriage bodies. The fenders are getting skirts, corners are more rounded, Art Deco styling is coming into play, and they just look more solid. I think the 30s saw the most radical transformation in car design and styling of any decade.
Interesting facts...additionally: Early 1933 Fords had front fenders that looked - like 1932's, w/o the side skirt. Also, the hood surround on all '34's is larger (and different), & the grille bars are not "concave" as are the 33's. Also a fact, (contrary to the belief of most collector's), the straight grille, & corresponding 2-handle hood usually associated w/the 1934-style passenger cars, was actually a late 1933 model change. The change began in Sept. 1933, whereas production of the 1934 models, was not started until Nov.1933. The grille, & hood were modified simultaneously. Engineering releases affecting these parts were issued Sept. 12, (to) 21, 1933 marked: "Effective at once," accompanied by instructions to coordinate the change of ALL parts, at the same time. This is why some people refer to these '33's as having: "'34 noses!" :P The rear inner fenders are different between '33's (smooth), & 1934's (chicken feet). The front inner fenders are different too; '33's have raised rubber grommet tabs, & '34's do not. Doors are different too, as '34 doors have an extra one-inch section in rear of the window, '33's do not. CHEERS! AL :)
Beautiful little 33 FORD Coupe, you explained everything very well, sure didn't know all the difference in the 33 and 34, they are both Sharp, ULTIMATE HOT ROD, if I can come up with the money, I'll be on my way to pick up this 33 COUPE, great video SUBSCRIBED.
How much on the 33? Beautiful car
