I met Ted years ago in Bettles Alaska while working at a hunting and fishing lodge. I was the grunt weighing and loading up all of the gear for their bush hunt. Ted and his crew were some of the friendliest and most respectful people I have ever met. You can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat total strangers.

That incident also occurred about 100 years ago and has nothing to do with Aldean, the song, the video, or anything else in this insane 'stretch' you're struggling to make.
That's also all besides the fact that the courthouse is local (within 30 minutes) to where Aldean and millions more live. I'm sure, tho, if you had paid Aldean a few hundred thousand to fly his entire crew and equipment up to let's say Vermont, they would have filmed it there.... just to please lil old you.

As a black man, I am not at all offended by this song. This song is about protecting yourself and your family against violence. Our communities are so ravished with violent crime, more anti-crime songs like this are needed.

I listened to him on a Seattle FM radio station interview in 1976 just prior to his concert there. I was 17. I could tell from that interview that he was God-fearing American Patriot who happens to like Feedback on his guitar. Stranglehold live is epic. I was at that concert up front. Fast forward 20 years, I'm in King Salmon, Alaska (caribou hunting mecca) getting my Air Force plane fueled by a Sargeant, and he asks me out of the blue, "who's your favorite rock band". I replied Ted. And his jaw drops and he exclaims, "I know Ted! He's from Michigan! His mom and my mom are best friends! He came up to hunt with me last year!" Best conversation I had in 20 yrs of AF life out on a parking ramp hanging around airplanes.
