Man the title of this video is so appropriate. You provided much needed detail on my LV 32. Great information. I immediately subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good work.
Great video!!!! Most videos I find are tuning the 1022 & 1222, but I have this same unit and I have trouble fine tuning my unit and I see so much extra junk!!! Thanks for the video 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Notice.which side of the barrel he attaches the barrel clamp. My ultrex has longer transducer and you have to remove a metal plate to mount the Lvs 32 on side of the shaft farthest from trolling motor prop.
Nice job on Ur video,Ive had live scope since it came out.the only to learn how to use it to get on the water.those tips will help a lot of the beginners out i also use the old transducer..
That’s all this video is for is the beginner, I’ve had panoptixs since 2015 then got livescope in 2017, and now have a deal with Garmin, time on the water can only take you so far, they roll out updates and change things all the time so having a knowledge about how each setting works really helps
Good info BUT Garmin says to line the top of the lvs32 with the top of the motor for forward view. Yours is at an angle and in line with the bottom of the motor??????
Hey Josh. I left my LS on the other day in the sun for about 2 hours. Came back screen said it overheated. 11/2 later the screen came back on but after scanning I couldn’t see anything. I went into Home and it was on Traditional. I moved it to LiveScope setting but it switched back to Traditional. You got any suggestions? Garmin says buy another transducer.
@@Joshua_Matthew_Fishin thanks. Is there a reason for splitting the power? Will the 50 amp not run both the graph and box long enough? I am trying to decide on power options. During the summer I frequently put in 14-15 hr days. Don't want to get caught short
@@jimk4267 yes I want the graphs on their own power and the black box on its own power so they aren’t pulling off of each other, the black box is an amplifier so it needs uninterrupted clean power
I see you dont have the on screen icon that shows where your livescope is pointed. Thats because you cant calibrate it while its mounted on the barrel. I have the same issue.
@@casey2562 cause I don’t use it if my target is a brush pile and I can see the brushpile on the screen then I don’t need an icon to tell me where to cast, and I don’t worry about calibrating the commas not necessary
My issue is I'm running a Turret and when I'm casting in front of my boat I can't see my bait, I have that arrow in line with the front of my transducer, but It's still not perfectly in line with the front of the boat. Any suggestions?
@@mikedickey281 I’ve heard that a lot but if you take a string and make a straight line coming off your transducer and then take a string have someone hold it and you hold the other end your string will end up shorter, than the sonar string I’ll explain it in a video, that’s a great question, but yes we all deal with it so far this is the best I can come up with that’s logical
Are you running LVS-32? If so, it’s super clear. I am in the market for one to pair with my Garmin Echomap Ultra 106sv. Hopefully BPS will have then greatly reduced for Black Friday Sale and I can get one.
LVS32? This video is obsolete. Current LVS34 settings can be totally different, depending what update you have. Still a really good video tho. People must remember, everybodies water is different and time of year and even time of day. It may not be possible to get as clear an image for everyone.
It’s not obsolete, as they still sell the 32, and on top of that most people are finding out the 32 is a better transducer, all the guys are keeping the 32s and selling off the 34s or keeping them for long distances
This is one of the better video’s on how to fine tune LS. Thanks
Thank you
Thank you, I never new about backlight, I always had a problem seeing my bait. This video was very helpful, thanks again
I'm still using my original lvs 32 , I'll try a couple of these settings and see what I get,

Glad I could help
Thank you great video and very helpful for a new guy.

Good video, thanks. Whats your view of using a turrent to move your transducer around?
If you have an issue with boat control, get one
Very informative. Thank you.

Garmin says buy another transducer.
I would almost bet you fried your transducer by over heating it, those are super sensitive to heat, probably going to have to send it back to garmin
Really appreciate you showing the backlight portion.
Little things that help, this was a 101 how to fine tune I’m about to drop the in depth version soon
How come that your picture is so clean? No beams from transducer crystals? Looks amazing.
It explains it all in the video
What kind of line are you using?
Good video. What camera did you use to film your Garmin screen? Turned out good.
My phone
That's fine and dandy if one could afford the price tag.
You can get into live sonar for about $$2k now but I completely understand it’s expensive but not needed to catch fish
Great video...and fish catches.
What model unit and what is your power source.
I am running mine on a wet cell. Decent screen. But not like yours!
126 ultra UHD, LVS32 and a 12v 50ah outlaw lithium battery on my graph and a 20v lithium 100ah on my black box

Are the settings any different for a single wire LVS32 transducer?
All the same
Great vid 👍
Have you ever had half your screen go black while using your livescope?
If it’s doing that you have a transducer issue a beam is going out

What Firmware version your livescope on.
I’ll get back with you, on that

Try making sure your in the right orientation,
You can send me a message on Facebook with a photo of how your transducer is pointed when trolling motor is deployed I’ll see if I can help you there
@TacticalSlabs ok buddy I appreciate it
Mounted on your barrel you don't think it's not shooting through a magnetic field?
What I thought was opposite of what he is saying. By being on the shaft it’s further away from the magnetic. I don’t have a clue regardless!
Could be! Like i said it’s just a theory, I have a fantastic image so it’s gotta mean something and the one I have in the shaft is not great 🤷♂️
Nice help
Glad it helped
Did I hear you say your using the old livescope not the plus?
Correct
My distance on screen versus real distance is off about 20 ft what is causing that
Nothing, remember your above your target it’s not a true straight line I’ll do a video explaining that
@@Joshua_Matthew_Fishin thanks for the info it just seems like the 34 transducer is off more than the 32
