This was incredible thank you for the hard work putting this together. I just got a new Garmin unit to replace one that went down so I’m having to redo all my settings and assemble my Livescope transducer so I bought the summit mount to replace the Garmin perspective mount to see how I like it. I lost my grip pad that goes between the mount and the trolling motor so I’ll try to Jerry rig something.

Thanks for the info on batteries and wiring. I got into Live Scope pretty heavy, started with Echomap UHD 93SV Plotter, a GT 56 UHD Transducer, then synced a Panoptix Livescope Plus System System, a LVS 34 Tranducer, GLS 10 Black Box, a Echomap Ultra 106SV Plotter and a 126SV Plotter. All this is wired to my main battery, which I now see needs it's own power source. I now need to select Lithium batteries for my 24V trolling motor and my Garmin Sonar System. The Marine Deep Cycle batteries I'm using aren't holding up to the power drain.

Best livescope video ever created. I can't wait to use the focus feature combined with adding that extra 10 ft of depth to max tune my rig. Screen shot those species settings with the little bonus tips per species is gonna make scope life easy. Thanks for the time and effort you spent on this. I originally wanted a dedicated battery but the salesman at Jones Trolling said I was good with my AGM 31 group I use for cranking. Maybe its time to upgrade to a 46AH lithium. Fish On!

I have watched hundreds of videos on livescope and find so much miss information.
You are the best hands down. Explaining each setting separately and the effect it has has helped me to be able to tweak my unit to suit my personal tastes.
The sections on the transducer were much better than Garmin's 1:08:21 , mine was at the wrong angle and backwards, makes all the difference.

In car audio you want to run your signal wires away from your power wires. There is an electromagnetic field around any carrying wire so if you isolate your livescope wires you may not get any bleeding from other wires

Don't know if you covered it but what is your jig setup? Do you have a jig and then split shot above it? Or is it a barrel swivel? So I have had LiveScope for months. I don't know much about how to tune it. I'm a slow learner so I will review your video and tweak my unit.

Are you suggesting the gls10 box & head unit have it's each own individual power or them to share power together but separate from everything else?? In my PA12 360 kayak I run a ultra 106 SV, steady cast & lvs34 on a single amped outdoors 32ah 14.8v lithium . I put my diy ammo can battery box behind my seat & have a 10awg marine wire from it inside my haul up to my front hatch where my gls10 box & power come from my other devices. I have ext same voltage at my unit & devices as directly from my battery. It's seems to work well for me. Doesn't mean it couldn't be improved on though. Like anything can be! I've only had this set up sense winter.

I have a question about the power supplied to the GLS10 and the 93SV graph. I run Livescope on my SS107 Bonified kayak. I have connected to a Dewalt 6aH 20 volt battery. Which seems would be enough for about 4 hours. This is due to the 20 volts supply amperage at half of the rate a 12 volt supply. So I carry 2 of the Dewalt batteries for 8 hours of fishing. On my 93SV shows 18v on my graph screen. Is this adequate power for the black box and 93SV?

Mostly great but I use Dakota lithium batteries and the first thing they tell you is don't leave a battery on the charger after it is full charged. Lithium requires a hagher voltage charger than a standard lead acid and these are not trickle chargers so them will do damage to the bateries if left on. Otherwise thanks for a great video

@@The_Garmin_Guru It would make more sense if they were sponsored by garmin that they give them the very best gear for them correct? I mean im sponsored by Humminbird and they just sent me 2 solex 12s and an Apex 16 for the new skeeter, but I also got a garmin 12 for the live, which I had to pay for myself because honestly Garmins live is far more superior, but humminbirds mega 360, mega down and mega side are better than the rest..Which is what brings me to your channel, a lot of us watch you...

@@MichaelScottFishing I appreciate you watching bud but I was told by someone from Garmin that they are an aviation company and fishing is something they do on the side. But I would def agree with your take on it. Heck they won’t even talk to me about sponsorship 😂

It would be interesting to hear from an electrical engineer on wiring short runs vs long runs of 10ga wire. I just think the difference of 5ft to 15ft of wire is going to be negligable. Not trying to knock anyone but a lot of this is opinions and not science.

      Agreed.

The longer the run regardless of gauge size the better chance of picking up interference. Also, the reason to go larger gauge, the less impedance reducing voltage drop. That said, you may not see much difference but could get interference if running the wire next to other wires powering anything with electrical motors like trolling motors and pumps. Again, not significant but possible.
