    I have followed your advice for Dermodex and Blepharitis with wipes, drops, eyelid cleanser and spray. It's been a bit costly but so absolutely worth it. For the first time in over a year, I don't feel that I have sand up inside my eyelids and today the tiny red capillaries in my eyes are reduced. My whites look whiter ! My eyes feel refreshed and calm. I didn't ever notice signs of Dermodex but I use the treatments anyway just in case they are there. It took about a month of using everything to notice a real change and I am so grateful to you for your sound advice which 2 opticians here in the UK failed to give me. I was just told that at my age it was to be expected. Well, it may be normal, but now it feels better. Thank you for helping me I am so grateful to you.

    I had a ton of floaters in one eye, got hold of a report that said bromelain would work to dissolve them. I tried a freeze dried pineapple powder, mixed a small scoop with my AM green drink. One month floaters 99 % gone, have been on it for a year, rarely see any floaters now.

    Thank you for taking the time to create this detailed informational video! I wish my doctors would all watch this. They need more information about supplements. They want to sell the IPL light treatment or other services rather than provide proper care and other healthy, effective options. I am managing my dry eyes independently and learning what works for me. I had to stop any caffeine, work on proper hydration, and take the best oil and other supplements. I do notice improvement from staying on Omegas. And I also add MCT oil to my mushroom and cacao drink. Proper hydration plus oil and mineral supplementation helps most, along with the heat mask, eye cleaning, etc. I will add the Astaxanthin for sure. I also wear yellow glasses to protect my eyes from the phone and computer screens. Dry eyes are a complex health issue, and so much more research is needed. What are truly the root causes?

    I was diagnosed with Ocular rosacea about 2 years ago, with MGD and blepharitis. It took me about 1.5 years to get tested for vitamin D. Neither my family doctor, or ophthalmologist tested me. I was able to persuade my gastroenterologist to test me. I am finally supplementing now, in accordance with doctor's advice. The blepharitis is completely gone. So is my fatigue. I had uncovered in my own research, a link between vitamin D deficiency and rosacea/ocular rosacea. I'm unsure why there is no screening on a more proactive basis. I guess if the creams and medicines worked for me I would not have sought out these answers, but I reacted to most of the medicines negatively.

    I had so many floaters I had the fluid in my eyes replaced. I see very clear now. During the procedure the doctor found early detached retina in one eye and a similar problem in the other. He repaired the retina in both eyes. The problem was hidden by the floaters and the thick gel in my eyes. The floaters were being caused by the gel sticking to the retina and then pulling off pieces of it. I have to wear sunglasses now because of the clairity.

    How about recurrent corneal erosion? which vitamin is better?

    • @katesmiles4208
      @katesmiles4208 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Vitamin c is good for tissue repair. I eat 150g of rockmellon for breakfast and at dinner to keep my levels up. Kiwi fruit is an excellent source of vitamin c. Just one for breakfast and one in the evening. The body can only take up a limited amount at a time, so its a good idea to split it like i do. Mega dosed of c can cause the excessive amount to turn harmful and damage tissues.
      To confirm this do a deep dive in google, look for research from government health departments or educational institutions.
      Good luck 😊

    • @DoctorEyeHealth
      @DoctorEyeHealth  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Really good question. I want to do a video on this subject. With RCE, the most important thing is to support the tear film and healing of the cornea. Topical and even oral vitamin C has been used for healing of corneal wounds and post surgical cases too, but it will be important to consult your local doctor about what exactly they recommend for you and how much. There are some other food concerns depending on the treatment your doctor could recommend, such as oral doxycycline for example. Dairy products can interfere with oral doxy.

    I am a 75 year old woman with macular degeneration. When I was diagnosed (probably 20 years ago) I was never prescribed any medication or anything. It was just a disease I knew nothing about and got no answers nor suggestions from the doctor. I do think I stumbled upon A-reds and took them for a while……but I really don’t remember. But here I am at 75 and really do not wish to go blind! I don’t have any symptoms. I use Restasis eye drops every morning and every night. I don’t know anything else to do. Please advise.

      @@jesincov Yes! The supplement will be available on December 15. I have pre-ordered it and hope to have it soon. Sorry for the misspelling. I have been waiting for this for more than a year after reading research on the treatment of MD with LPC made by Aker. The initial studies were done using mice and were very conclusive. I believe human MD trials are ongoing. My results are amazing. I had some damage to the retina in my left eye after my MD turned wet. I didn't know I had MD until this happened. This was 2019. The damage was about 30% vision loss in my left eye. Now it is less than 5%. My ophthalmologist is very pleased! Please share this. the press ignores this because the pharm industry does not want people to know about it and they are major advertisers on mainstream media.

    I was taking 2000 mg of salmon oil, the recommended (on the container) dose, which acts as a blood thinner, and found that my skin was getting fragile. Just bumping into something would cause a tear in the skin and after years my forearms are covered with scars from this. Dropped the dosage to 1,000 mg and the problem resolved, so one has to be aware of taking too much of supplements and monitor their individual reactions.

    Important emphasis for B3 should be they used the form "nicotinamide" versus the most common form people will get in a store which is just NIACIN or Nicotinic acid. The form they used is NO FLUSH and less dangerous. If people ask for niacin they will not get that form.

      @@lsmith992 Sadly, theclassroomdoc is very misinformed and even saying either of them are dangerous with one being less dangerous is absurd. Sure, if you take large doses of nicotinimide, maybe, but nicotinic acid or flush niacin as many call it, has studies galore on high does to lower cholesterol, schizophrenia and other health issues. We are talking 3000 mg a day or more. I take up to 2000mg a day myself. It pays to research for yourself and not listen to a random person on youtube, including me!

    Thank you for the indepth information about newer products for dry eye. I have used the Ivizia, the regular Blink, (not the new one you suggest) Refresh Mega-3. Mine comes and goes, perhaps due to pollens? I wore contact lenses for 52 years, without dry eyes. After cataract removal the floaters developed and so did the dry eye. Age, probably, the problem.
    But I am going to try the vitreous health supplement. Will let you know.

    • @DoctorEyeHealth
      @DoctorEyeHealth  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you! Yeah I have heard mixed reviews about the vitreous health supplement for floaters but it could be because some people's "floaters" may not be due to gel changes inside of the eye but instead due to other neurological visual disturbances. Either way, looking forward to hearing back from your experience.

      Based on the research Dr Knobbe has presented, it is something I am aware of and have concerns about, however, I would like to see the research substantiated by other authors and institutions. Either way, I think it is best to avoid consuming heavily processed foods (which are a frequent source of seed oils and refined sugars). But very well-done research has continued to show the whole "seed oils are secretly killing us" is not really a thing. There are also some other holes in his arguments I would love to ask him about. I hope to meet him some day and get a chance to have a discussion about it all.
