In this video, we are gonna see Evolution X rom in full details , all the features , customizations we have in it, I installed it on my Oneplus 5 so there are some Oneplus specific features too that you can check here too.

This Rom had some bugs , phone performance was going down and phone was lagging. so now i am back on Oxygen OS 4.8.10 android Naugat and testing it for few days, getting better battery life than Android 10 oxygen os.

No, its not recommended. Mostly phones older than 3 year start giving battery issues, better see if you can buy Oneplus 7 or 8

How is the battery life in comparison to OOS android 10?

2.5 hours? Thats very low. I guess your battery health is very bad. Please install accubattery and check your phone's battery health.

Oneplus is amazing phone and after a boot I think phone gets more fast than earlier.

@@techlikeapro Oho, sad. I'm still struggling with OnePlus 5. Damn Video EIS won't work, it was there in android 7, 8 and 9. Mfs removed it and now it isn't available on 10. Idk if I did something wrong? The whole section of EIS is missing from Camera settings
The best option I see is to downgrade. I downgraded it to Oxygen OS 4.5.10 and performance, battery, camera everything got improved.

Yes i used, Gpay, Phonepe, Paytm and other banking apps worked fine too👍 Yes it can be used as daily driver
I did not root the phone just unlocked the bootloader and flashed the rom, if you Root your phone then you won't be able to use banking apps

Is there any way we can change recents tab layout? It seems quite old and all clear button is all the way on left after swiping through all opened tabs
Yes, there was an option to change it and bring the clear all button at the bottom. But the phone started lagging with this ROM after a few weeks of use , so i flashed back the Oxygen OS....

Simply download the oxygen os firmware , paste it in your phone, go to recovery and flash the rom.

@@techlikeapro one more thing the reason I switched to custom rom was that I was having issues with caller screen in oxygen os. Phone used to ring but there was lot of delay in having caller screen, sometimes I used to not have it and when rings was completed I can check in missed calls who was it... Did you face any such issues with oxygen os?
Does it lag? Mine is also OnePlus 5 but it lags in oxygen os...
I will suggest you to go back to OOS 4.8.10 , you will find it smooth and will get better battery life too 😉

There is not much, You just have to unlock the bootloader and flash twrp recovery then this rom in this phone. You can get full guide on XDA Developers

Actually, I was testing this ROM for a week but phones started heating and hanging , performance was going down and the camera app was also not good. So now I have installed Oxygen OS 4.5.8 Android N. This is giving me better battery life and performance. Not coming to any conclusions, testing this one right now and will make a video about it soon. Make sure to subscribe the channel 😊

Actually there are too many bugs in evolution x and the performance also degrades, so i will not recommend this rom, it is better to downgrade the oxygen os to previous android version.

This was just an initial phase when i made this video, but after few weeks the phone started lagging and hanging. So i won't recommend this rom. Its better to downgrade oxygen os rather than changing ROM.
