    The Dictus is the epitome of "BUT WAIT! There's more!" When it comes to its arsenal and functions, it is without a doubt one of the most impressive mobile suits in late UC and I love it.
    It's so unusual and exotic and that's why I love late UC, they tried something new. Went beyond the usual ms designs and that's something the Jovians were just good at.

    • @gundamfacts
      @gundamfacts  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Dictus is just the embodiment of "too much". I mean, an assymetrical suit wielding and giant axe and transforming into a hand was one thing, adding feather funnels and full body I-Field was the milestone of overenpowerment

    Jupiter empire cutting a fetus in half and expecting to get two babies out of it is pretty on brand and expected with their wacky dumbness. Goes along with their half assed attempt to recreate the V2, making a brain clone from amuro's core fighter's butt imprint and making a Circus themed special forces mobile suit team.

    • @gundamfacts
      @gundamfacts  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You also forgot about mass producing non-miniaturized MS in the miniaturized MS era, leaving their three best Aces stranded on Earth for years, and of course, creating a special squad made of self appointed Newtypes using Angelic shaped MS, and then be surprised they underperform against a single proven Newtype

    • @sev2136
      @sev2136 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well too be fair with Diona it was more for showy demonstration rather than being equipped to be effective. Told those young girls to get out there with a heat spear, a beam rifle and a dream against crossbone gundams.

    Some interesting mobile suit development on the Dictus. Are both of the type of mobile suits now in HGUC kit form?

    • @gundamfacts
      @gundamfacts  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yup, Jurisdis Sinistra and Liberta Dextra were both released as P Bandai. Despite the horrendous reception they received (Hasegawa himself was surprised the suit even made it as a kit), they are regularly reprinted which is a good thing

    Honestly crossbone late UC is when the Manga writers were running out of ideas and just throw every nonsense idea they had and see what sticks

    • @gundamfacts
      @gundamfacts  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      My take is that Hasegawa learned the painfull lesson of F91 and Victory. New Antagonist Mechs of Late UC needed to be more exotic in order to be set apart from Zeon but would inevitably be bashed by Zeon hoarders who would whine about the lack of pureblood Zaku. So instead of trying to appeal to these individuals by trying to offer them a Zaku ranked alternative (Zoloat, Den'an Zon), Hasegawa just screw everything over and embraced total weirdness for more exotic results. I always see Jupiter designs as a middle finger to all the early UC stans who completely disrespected the long work that Junya Ishigaki and Hajime Katoki had done on Crossbone Vanguard and Zanscare suits.

      @@gundamfacts in that way it seemed to work excellent since it's in games and gunplas years later but stuff like psycommu controlled monkeys that influenced the controller , a parade piece R1 zaku able to keep up with the crossbones. Fate nya mechs that look like battletech's panther mechs with emote shields are abit too weird than again that's my experience with the crossbone Mangas I knew about or had

    Funny thing. I hates Crossbone Gundam for many years and despised everything with a name Crossbone. Years later I reread it and it is still childish fairytale with a Gundam. But I also read Still 7 and surprise, I loved it. Thanks for another great video!:)

      I feel you there. Although i was always fond of Victory Gundam, i had a hick for Crossbone for many years until i stumbled across Crossbone Ghost which convinced me to give it a try again. Original series is not that bad, Skullheart and Dust are... but Steel 7 and Ghost were able to redeem it for me

    Sounds like the perfect counter to the Dictus is the NT-D System of the Unicorn Gundams. Everything that the Dictus does can be stopped by a simple activation of the Unicorn's Destroy Mode, leaving this outrageous MS nothing more than target practice for the Beam Magnum.

    • @gundamfacts
      @gundamfacts  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Except the Dictus is too fast for the beam magnum to lock + its I-Field can tank even VSBR shots so the Beam magnum shots would be absorbed even if they hit. Though, the NTD is going to hit pretty hard, if the Feather funnels are hijacked, they can deal a good amount of damage to the Dictus (and since they are physical weapons, the I Field is going to be useless).

    • @Devenix8527
      @Devenix8527 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gundamfacts Not to mention, if the Unicorn goes Crystal, Dictus can't really destroy it, as any damage would just heal itself (only the Devil/Dark Gundam can do this [don't think Turn A has demonstrated that ability even though it does have it]).
      And yes the NT-D can hijack any funnels no matter what, plus just imagine the psychological impact on the brothers upon encountering something meant to kill Newtypes (it is the Newtype Destroyer afterall [which ironically requires a Newtype to work properly]).

    • @dudududu1926

      Unicorn fans try not to bring Unicorn to every video challenge (impossible)
