    🥣 The real recipe for traditional Russian soup Borscht 👩‍🍳
    🥣 Borscht is a traditional Russian soup made from beetroot and with other vegetables such as cabbage, carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic, tomatoes. 👩‍🍳 This originally Ukrainian soup is one of the most popular traditional dishes in many Eastern European countries (Lithuania, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Romania). This soup is a true delight and can feed the whole family throughout the week, getting richer in taste day after day. Beetroot gives borscht its typical burgundy red color and brings great health benefits.
    🥣 The real traditional Russian beetroot soup borscht recipe 👩‍🍳
    Ingredients:
    - 1 piece of bone-in beef
    - 1/2 red or white cabbage
    - 2 onions
    - 2 carrots
    - 2-3 beets (raw or cooked)
    - 1 tomato
    - 6 potatoes
    - 2 bay leaves
    - 1-2 cloves of garlic
    - 1 tablespoon of white vinegar
    - 1 tablespoon of sugar
    - 2.5 l of cold water
    - salt
    - pepper
    - 1 drizzle of oil
    Preperation:
    1. Start by preparing the broth. Wash the meat with plenty of water and place it in a large saucepan with the 2.5 liters of water and leave it on high heat until it boils, then cook over low heat for about 20 minutes.
    2. Meanwhile, prepare the vegetables. Peel the carrots, grate them or cut them into thin strips and brown them in a pan with the oil over medium heat.
    3. Peel and mince the onions and add them to the carrots.
    4. Remove the skin from the beets, grate them or cut them into thin strips and add them to the pan with the vegetables, mixing them.
    5. Cut the tomato into small cubes, add them to the vegetable mixture and mix everything together.
    6. Add the white vinegar and sugar, mix everything together, close with a lid and leave to simmer over low heat.
    7. Peel and cut the potatoes into small cubes and add them to the broth with the meat.
    8. Cut the cabbage into thin strips and add them to the pan with the vegetables. Mix and add about 6 ladles of broth. Salt and pepper, add the bay leaves, mix everything together and let it cooking under a lid.
    9. As soon as the vegetables are ready, add them to the broth.
    10. Peel the garlic cloves, cut them into small pieces and add them to the soup.
    11. Take the meat out of the soup, cut it into small pieces, put them to the soup and cook for another 5 minutes.
    12. The soup is ready. Serve it and enjoy!

    Vous ne rajoutez pas de crème sûre au moment de servir ?

      Bonjour Armelle, en Russie on le sert avec de la crème fraîche épaisse classique. Mais merci, je devrais essayer avec de la crème sûre, je n'ai jamais goûté ce produit. ;)
