How about installing a recessed anchor point in the floor of the second bay so that you can attach a snatch block when you need to? This way you can get a straighter pull with less stress on the line and when you aren't using it you'll still have a flat floor. I tried linking to an anchor like I was thinking on amazon but my earlier comment seems to have disappeared. I'm guessing youtube didn't appreciate my including a link to the jungle.
I did this, too, with a smaller winch. I've have an inclined driveway; in the past, it was pure he** moving a dead vehicle up it. What clinched it was when I used my engine crane to pull the 6.0L engine and then put it back in. I used my two-wheel Gravely in the garage, chocked, and used a come-a-long. It worked, but it ain't fun.

We did this back in 93 to pull a Helio H295 backwards into our hangar. Worked well.

Yea I was tired of it being a 2 person job and trying to get it in a shop that has other broke down trucks in it already.
