Great video guys! You really captured the essence of Quartzsite. Sondra, I feel for you...I've had a few of those travel-induced messes myself and you never know what has found its way beneath the slides.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks, Kat for the comments. We really enjoyed our visit the other day and your camper is exciting. Can't wait to see where the wind and road takes you guys.
Once again another great video. You guys are just so fun to watch and I had to laugh when Sondra was scrutiizing the cost for potato salad. I was trolling through the supermarket today, found 5 uncooked chicken thighs for $11.40. I then checked the price for a rotisseri chicken, which was $7.99! Guess what I bought! Proof Sondra, that we are two peas in a pod! LOL! But David, you missed the best joke opportunity when Sondra said she should receive another anniversary present. She set you up to say, "buy more stickers"! LOL! Seriously, thank you for all the hard work with the videos. So refreshing to watch two people who love to camp and don't muck up their videos with sponsorships and 10 minute commericials. Please keep up the good work! Look forward to watching every week and hope to some day see you on the road!

It's Happy Thursday with (BT)²! Gotta shout out my fave parts. At 17:55, the word you're looking for is "Crap!" 😂 I absolutely loved how Sondra was in full glee mode during her shoppin' an' huntin'. My most replayed part is definitely 32:08 to 32:47. David shows us guys how it's done; tweezers and stickers make Sondra happy. You two are fantastic! @@bigtruckbigtravels I don't know. I live in Las Vegas and when I watched you drive that rig throughout the side streets... All I can say is wow what a great job you did.
Hi, new subscriber here. I really enjoy your channel…laidback, no drama and just every day stuff. I find it enjoyable, relaxing and simple plus you two are fun! There’s enough drama in the world. I love your rig..wow! It must be the biggest rig at quartzsite. I have a 45’ DP bus and kind of find it a little stressful to travel in due to its size. I might downsize next year to something around 33’ or so but we’ll see. Thanks for sharing and safe travels! 👍

You need a little BOX with an electric Pop Open Lid that houses the Drone on top of the Truck so you can launch/retrieve it at the drop of a hat! LOL! Pretty Cool. My Son just got a really nice one. Pretty handy for scoping out where you may want to go.

It's a commercial grade soda fountain. The two main issues are (1) the chiller uses a LOT of power and is noisy and (2) the carbonator water tank is not used to a moving environment and the water level solenoid gets replaced every few years. Otherwise, pull the handle and soda pours out!

I am not sure but it seems that if you email or talk to the office there at Quartz Site they should be able to look up past vendors, just a thought in regards to that Balsamic Glaze you were looking for.
Name your drone "Hubble" after the Hubble telescope. It flies around and take pictures. lol.. Glad you're looking at actuators for your solar panels, my wife won't let me on the roof because she is afraid of me falling. In truth I'm too old to be messing around up there. Great suggestion, Bill. A fall would definitely ruin a good day! One of these days, I'll be too old to get up there...not yet but it's coming! 😂🤣😊Thanks for watching.
Name the drone OSIRIS - space craft that got the samples from the asteroids and brought them back to the University of Arizona. Love your videos, popped some popcorn, turned on the tv and Apple TV and watched your TH-cam videos every Thursday night!

As usual an excellent video from my favorite couple. It's good to see people finally getting to enjoy the fruits of their labor, which I'm also doing after fifty years of working. Life is good and thank you guys for not getting tired of me tagging along. As you know the wife won't do the RV thing so I have to hang with you. Thanks again. Travel safe. Ps: I also admire the fact that you can clearly afford things but you're not wasteful, you watch your pennies. It took me thirty years to learn that.😅
Glad you enjoyed it, Joe. We try to be sensible in how we live but we don't want to "do without" of we don't have to do we're still conscious of our pennies. Enjoy your time and buckle up. We're heading down the road.
I have the True Toppers. I had them installed 1/9/24 at the Coburg, Oregon location. It’s wonderful and I have seen other people even with snow on and pushing it off. It’s so great and the people couldn’t have been nicer.

Your solar lift angle is close at 45 degrees. The precise angle for optimal solar production in Quartzsite in January is 49 degrees from horizontal (41 degrees from vertical). I have a side mounted array that I can lift from 90 degrees from horizontal to about 25 degrees from horizontal. I can't quite lift it to horizontal, but in the peak of summer it's producing more than enough anyway, so it's more important to me to optimize it for winter, when the production is at a minimum. I'm not far off though as the lowest optimal angle in Q is in June at 20 degrees, so it's only 5 degrees off in a worst-case scenario there. Unfortunately, our rooftop array is fixed, as it's too hard for me to get up there to lift them. Whereas we easily lift and lower our side array standing safely on the ground. Of course, pointing your rig due west, so your panels face due south is important for solar harvesting too - though with the size of your array I'm sure you can be a little off and fill your batteries daily, especially in sunny Q.
Don't cry over spilled coleslaw/sour cream 😱😭 I think you guys are pretty good at rolling with the punches (plenty of experience I'm guessing). Great boon docking video! I learned about composite propane tanks today. When I had my smart 4two, I'd let my three sons - before the oldest had his license - drive our development's one mile long private road to where there is a small market at the end. They'd put the youngest on the back shelf... The macerator pump is a necessity! I wouldn't have an RV without one. I'd name the drone "Discovery" since scouting is part of its mission. Or "Overwatch" if you wanted a military intelligence type name. Thanks for taking us along 👊
When you were doing the dump of black tank I was waiting when you said "you ever have one of those days"? I was waiting for you to say it's a crappy day lol. Good on you for helping people when asked, for those who need it and ask for it.
Thank you. 😃
I am not sure but it seems that if you email or talk to the office there at Quartz Site they should be able to look up past vendors, just a thought in regards to that Balsamic Glaze you were looking for.
Great idea, Kim. We'll look into that. Thanks ❤️
Love your videos. Thanks for taking us all alone .. just goes to show hard work pays off ❤
You are so welcome! It surely does... not easy or fast! 😆
the Sky is...everything!
It's beautiful.
Name your drone "Hubble" after the Hubble telescope. It flies around and take pictures. lol.. Glad you're looking at actuators for your solar panels, my wife won't let me on the roof because she is afraid of me falling. In truth I'm too old to be messing around up there. If you fell it would ruin your day!! Thanks for sharing your journey.
Great suggestion, Bill. A fall would definitely ruin a good day! One of these days, I'll be too old to get up there...not yet but it's coming! 😂🤣😊Thanks for watching.
Call your drone COSMO 😊
We were talking about that name. We like it and definitely one of the top 3 names we like so far. It has personality for sure. Thank you. 😃
God bless you to tell and thanks for having made a long be safe.
And have a good Trip
Thank you kindly, Brad. Appreciate your comments and support.
Always enjoy the drone footage David 😊
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you. It's a nice view up there.
Name the drone OSIRIS - space craft that got the samples from the asteroids and brought them back to the University of Arizona. Love your videos, popped some popcorn, turned on the tv and Apple TV and watched your TH-cam videos every Thursday night!
Now that's the way to watch YT. Pop some corn and recline away! Thanks for the suggestion and appreciate your time watching the channel.
we heard a calling in the desert!
It was a coyote! 😆

Thanks, Kris. I enjoy them. Kind of corny.
I would love to shop there!! I love the garden spinners and the garden metal artwork!
Lots of those, Kris. I'm glad we don't own a house...we'd buy more stuff! 🤣😂😁
so fun!
Woohoo!
Happy Anniversary !!
Thank you so much 😀
I have the True Toppers. I had them installed 1/9/24 at the Coburg, Oregon location. It’s wonderful and I have seen other people even with snow on and pushing it off. It’s so great and the people couldn’t have been nicer.
Great to hear, Cindy. We're going to Coburg to have them installed. Excited to get it done. Should solve some issues we're starting to experience with our slides.
@@bigtruckbigtravels they are wonderful people. The guys are so nice and Heidi that works in the office. The weather was bad when I was there and they actually moved me inside a day early so I weathered the storm inside their building when you go tell him hi from Cindy in Florence.
Hi from Canada .Great video.Amazing stuff in the Big Tent .
Glad you enjoyed it! Lots of stuff you don't need but want to get in the Big Tent!
You're lucky you had those little "squeezy" things, because you got the BIGGEST stink eye from Sondra I've seen. 😂😂😂😂
😆 🤣 you saw that too! Oh, she was not a happy camper. I was going to save the tweezer gift for a few days until our anniversary but I had to give it to her early. I couldn't believe in the Q of all places and she finds squeezey tweezers!
Good afternoon 😊
Hello 😊

Oh, Terry, Sondra loves her Journaling and scrapbooking and stickers and ephemra. I just stay out of the way! 😆 thanks for watching the channel. 😁
Great video, guys. Love the music you picked on this one.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it.
interesting...comfort food!
We like it. 👍
Love my macerator. I go to the blue boy dump
Oh yeah, Joe. Fun times in the desert!
Sounds like a nice solar system built for Quartzsite winters. We're looking at improving our system to enhance efficiency.
Nice names. Thanks. Appreciate your comments. That's a neat experience your children had with you.
...hate to say but...ty for sharing!
Thanks for watching
When you were doing the dump of black tank I was waiting when you said "you ever have one of those days"? I was waiting for you to say it's a crappy day lol. We are going to our first huddle in April my hubby and I are BIG fans of you both. When I found out you guys were coming to the huddle I was soooooo excited more to meet you all than anyone else 😅😅😅 Andrea from NC
Awww, thank you so much, Andrea. We're excited to meet you and anyone else who's there as well. I thought about the "crappy" joke but didn't want to pour it on too much. See you in Savannah!
@bigtruckbigtravels 😅😅😅😅
Was a great video was neat going through the big tent love your travels
Glad you enjoyed it, Lance. Thanks so much for the comment and glad you're along with us on the journey....wherever it leads us! 😎
lovely quality!
Thank you! Cheers!
We did Quartzsite every year the first few years we were fulltime but have missed the last few as well. I think it might be time for a winter stay again. Oddly enough we do sort of miss it, well maybe more me that Diane.
It's a cool place, Dave and very unique. I definitely think you have to embrace the whole culture out there to fully appreciate the area. It's nice to visit other areas too. That's why we go to the Q about every other year. Appreciate your comments and your time watching the channel. 😃
