- We leave the Pads in Death Valley National Park and Lake Manly behind as we travel scenic Highway 160 to Las Vegas. Why not? We haven't traveled it before and seems like a good road.
Our tandem drive axles are really nice so Matt's Off Road Recovery will not be needed in the foreseeable future. Whew!
Headed to Las Vegas is a big gamble because Thousand Trails Las Vegas RV Resort is tight, very tight. Will we fit?
We plan to do something stupid...but if it works out then it will be a very cool and EPIC adventure. We'll find out!
We enjoy the Las Vegas strip for good food, entertaining shows and a vibe/energy which is so unique to this city.
We've come out West to enjoy a nice warm winter season and to experience some first time activities for us. Who knows where the road leads? It's exciting to be able to live this lifestyle so no complaints here.
We are not Snow Birds as we are always traveling nearly every week but we do like nice warm weather and heading west is the best.
We will raise our solar panels and brush them off to power our stay and experience these epic treasures of Mother Nature as we venture on.

RV Camping
We like to "Switch it Up" between resorts and campgrounds and boondocking is always an option.
We draw inspiration from Keep Your Daydream KYD, Less Junk More Journey, Finding Our Someday and Changing Lanes. We normally travel in an HDT similar to TH-cam channels Suite Travels and Watts on Wheels. I also get some ideas from the editing style of Happily Ever Hanks (Happilyeverhanks) #thankshanks and believe it or not, I actually learned something from MRBeast Mr Beast video's as well.
Our journey is the destination. We want to share in our experiences in our discovery of What's Next.

We use the TSD card for diesel fuel and save a bundle each time we fill up our Big Rig. We also use it to fill up our Onan generator.

Our Class C is built by Thor Motorcoach on a Ford F550 chassis. It's a production build Magnitude model XG32. We tow our red Jeep Wrangler Sahara behind it. We've made some modifications to it so that we can boondock comfortably. Lithium batteries, Victron 3000w multi-plus inverter, dual alternators charge while traveling and mods to the water system greatly enhance it's boondocking capabilities.
Our extreme completely custom 5th wheel is built on a semi-trailer chassis with air suspension and air brakes. Completely loaded it weighs 42,000 lbs rolling down the highway. And we do roll down the highway nearly every week. You see, we believe that if your home has wheels they should be used.

Coachnet is our roadside assistance company we use but hopefully we don't use them too often. LOL

Curiosity is getting the best of me. Do you actually scrapbook and the truest sense of the fashion, bullet journal, or art journal. Or are you doing all three. You have so much material I can't imagine deciding what to use and what not to use and and how you have enough room to carry it all. I'm living vicariously through your travels and loving every minute of it take care and safe travels.
Sondra does a combination of all 3. She uses the motif for each week based on where we are going and decorates from there. She does a lot of tracking in it as well. Thanks 😄

Hubby and I have lived in our 42' Montana Legacy 5th wheel since 2017. We travel for 6 to 8 weeks at a time. When we're not traveling we are blessed to have a home base on our daughter's property. Did you visit old Vegas on Fremont Street? Look at the ceiling as you walk down the street. Visuals are amazing. You can also zip line down Fremont Street.
We've been there on a previous visit and enjoyed the lights. It's gotten a little "rough" in that section of town so we stayed in the Strip.

It's pretty funny. Way back... we had every intention of getting a mattress but couldn't find one we liked and ran out of time. Did this as a stop gap... but really like it. Actually it's super comfy with the foam topper.

Another home run video! My least favorite area to drive thru Vegas always a lot of traffic! Enjoyed your visit in Vegas, learned lots of new things. We tried sleeping on one of those air mattresses when our water bed mattress sprung a leak, nope not comfy for us, but glad it works for you. Really enjoy ALL your videos! Awesome video! talk about high anxiety when being rerouted by the police. I felt like I was right there with ya.. and the sigh of relief when you made it (I thought for sure you would have had to go over curb. Nice job! We go to Vegas on our trip in 2 months - thanks for some pointers (where to get the free parking) Whataburger location etc! It has been many years since we have been there.

First, Whataburger in Tennessee is around Memphis and Nashville with another one in Clarksville. Sondra is very cold natured and will wear the jacket with ear muffs when temps drop below 62 F. We couldn't find a suitable mattress in the beginning and were pushed for time so the air mattress was our "temp" solution... but with a foam topper it's really comfortable! So we just keep using it. 😊 Thanks

How hard is it to park your RV? How long are you? Do you get to the north or Midwest. I would love to see you in the Midwest, Michigan Mackinac.
It can be difficult to maneuver but we have some experience with it. Lots of research before we arrive. We're 73 feet long total and we should be in Michigan next year. Looking forward to visiting.

Why do you need such a huge camper?
We live in it fulltime and wanted it to feel like home for the next 20 years or so. Plus, we needed some room to give us flexibility on where we camp, weather we encounter and such. It's not for everyone but we're in it for the long haul.

Been there done that with an HDT. Downsizing to a smaller rig sure made sense and a lot less stressful travel for us. A 35 foot class A motorhome pulling our SMART 453 makes our life much much easier. Would never go back to being 65’ long.

So looked like there was a major meltdown when first peaking at TT\ Las Vegas. All I saw was Sandra was out of the truck upon entering. and we didn’t see anything else until the next day. Especially learning they had to find a space for the truck to park too! I bet somebody blew a few gaskets!

We are here in Vegas ending a two week stay -We stay at Sam’s Town KOA on the Boulder HWY -we had an HDT right next to us with smart car and a Full House 5th wheel-We had to move to the Oasis RV Resort and drove our Class A through the strip -However, we were TERRIFIED 🤣 We made it but didn’t enjoy that drive like you did 😂-Nice job ⭐️🚌🇺🇸🎉

Wow, you guys are brave we have travel to Vegas in our long bed CC duramax with our Jayco North Point 310RLTS but our is no way longer than your setup, you did a wonderful job and you wasn't stressing awesome job I would never do that if I don't have to. We love Vegas and have been there many times we always stay at Nellis Airforce Base I'm retired military.
Thanks for your service. North is nice and definitely less busy. Going through the Strip wasn't the smartest routing but it was fun once.
@@bigtruckbigtravelsThank you sir I was in the Army for 28 years and love it but toward the end I was getting tried of it. I know what you mean going through down town once, I mean if I can't avoid it I can do it, going to Nellis AFB off of I-15 is not problem but you guys stay safe out there.

Why was Sandra wearing earmuffs in Vegas?
The air was a little cool and a slight breeze so she wears those to keep her ears warm. They are a little sensitive to cold.
We loved visiting Vegas. I sell scrapbooking supplies. So now I'm making my husband take me back to Vegas to check out the scrapbooking store!
