Brubeck & Desmond would be awestruck by your version. Tito Puente would sit back and enjoy. This Latin version is fabulous! Arturo Pena and the band members are truly talented.
Dave Brubeck would feel Silly hearing this version, but then again he got fame for what Paul Desmond wrote!☺ These guys are amazing!!
Amazing work cheers to all musicians!
Very cool! (Although technically, it should be renamed "Take 8" 'cause it's no longer in 5/4 time but now in 8/4)
True!
How can you tell if it's in 8/4 rather than 4/4 or something?
@@daunteescalera282 because there are 8 beats every measure in 8/4. in 4/4 there are 4 beats every measure.
@@randomstringofnumbers4246 but how do you know how long is one measure ? How can you know if it's a half, a fourth, an eighth and so on without the musical sheet it was written on ? unless if you get it naturally through experience.
Nice question. I'm following
Sencillamente excelente!!!!!! Saludos cordiales siempre desde mi bella Guatemala, la tierra del quetzal y de la eterna primavera
I like the choice in time signature and the progressively increasing amount of cowbell.
Bonito cover , no importa quien la toque. Tito puente es uno de los grandes pero creo que todos los musicos y grupos tienen su estilo unico y eso se respeta. 👏👏👏👏👏
Excelente 👌 interpretación 👍 👏 maravillosa Banda Latina,.Bravo
Wow! A wonderful arrangement, and musicians who know how to bring it to life. I just love it!
Arturo Pena and the band members display so much rhythm, it is fantastic; they are truly talented. Each time I listen to this version, I dig it so much.
BRILLIANT. I have heard many versions, but this version is amazingly creative
Genial, excelente. Unos de los mejores arreglos de este clásico de Paul Desmond

Nothing like some Latin flavor to give it the right pazzaz
DESDE VENEZUELA UN GRAN APLAUSO SE LA COMIERON CON ESA PIEZA DE JAZZ LLEVADA AL JAZZLATINO....🗽🗽🗽
... very nice !! but lets be honest: THIS arrangement on "Take 5" is from El Rey Mr. Tito Puente on his Album "Mambo Diablo" ... right ?
Fiestaypachanga exactly was I was thinking.. Unless he arranged it for Puente.. Maybe he copied it, that's what he meant. They do give it a nice flavor though. I love the way the bass carries the swing!
Corr3ct. Further than that, in my opinion let’s have the jazz players play jazz songs and the salsa players play salsa. There are some genders that shouldn’t get mixed.
@@danielreel130 says who??
ibehl Excuse me. What “In my opinion” means to you?
That's true. It should be: Tito Puente version adapted by Arturo Pena
Belissimo!

THIS IS VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY BEAUTIFUL !!! Thank you!!! :))
So glad Titos timing on this classic is being done and hopefully will keep on being played along wiith the original timing too. I think Dave got a chance to have a listen before he died and was probably estatic, because this is how jazz is played. Do your thing! Add something new. YES!
LOVE this! Thank you!

Great version similar to Titto Puente
but Different arrangement at the end which was nice I will be playing this particular version next Monday here in Thailand I do like the original version but somehow I like this Latin version better and I’ve been working with my left hand to do the piano left hand on the right hand as well which is very difficult but it can be done
I liked the saxophone player because of the tone and I had a good control over the instrument very nice to listen to
I liked the dizzy Gillespie style trumpet player it was lovely to listen to also
And as I’m a piano player I also watched intently at the piano player and saw that he was very disciplined I didn’t spoil anything by going crazy
Playing live would have been completely different and people can let their hair down but in a studio it really has to be quite disciplined and time so I really did appreciate this track and I would like to thank you very much for the work you did and getting it finished to perfection
Candela!!!!!!!!!
Saludos excelente concepto de lujo la idea
Very good!👏👏👏👏
Lindo 😍
Arturo Penna your arrangement of this eternal Paul Desmond melody is awesome superb entwining of various instruments best Latin version I've ever heard thank you A.P. Sennen Antonio Dourado Milwaukee Wisconsin India Mumbai
Way GOOD!!!
Linda dama, 🎶🎵🎶
Buenísimo.
Ottimo arrangiamento, bellissimo pieno di colore latino
Fabulosoo
in Latin music, you hear some interesting sounds from instruments unknown for non-Latin people, here for example at 1:44 now you can see what instrument makes that interesting sound!
Excelente versión, bien arreglada!
Majestuoso
Amazing
Very good, is amazing!!
excelente. gracias
BRAVO!!!!
wonderful!
take 5 in 4... amazing musicians but i prefer the original time signature. Still a great sound and vibe
just like did Tito Puente...
It would sound cooler if they Latin jazzed it in 12345
Amazing rendition in the 4/4 time signature from the 5/4 original🔥🔥🔥
buen tumbaoo. buenos vientos
素晴らしいコンビネーション!
Chévere!
Muco gracias excellent
I adore this arrangement and performance; don't you?
Solos are fantasticos.
Great !!
Suena excelente, pero al Cesar…. Lo que es del César…. Gracias Tito por esta obra de arte
BRILLANT, EXCELLENT JAZZ LATIN SALSA
I am very familiar with the original and I gotta say that this arrangement does the Piece justice very well. Notice that it took 3 percussionists to replace Joe Morello and two players to replace Desmond. How timeless is this piece?
