I've thought about giving a tour but wasn't sure that many folks would be interested. The glass cases do have a buttload of bourbon and cool collectibles in them, and the rest of the Man Cave that you don't see on camera has even more of the same. Perhaps I'll post a tour one day. Many thanks for watching and supporting the channel.
Hello there Nerd. Fellow Alabamian here. I live in Daphne and can relate to the heat & humidity. I think this hat really looks quite nice and yes, it looks great with the suit. I really love the videos. They are very entertaining and informative. Continued blessings, health and channel growth.
Thanks for the kind words, fellow Alabamian. While the heat and humidity is tough on those of us who live here and are used to it, I find it fun to watch yankee tourists from up north struggle mightily in our particular brand of weather.
congratulations on your 5k subs history nerd! your channel is incredible your reviews are the best and your old school way of talkin' is amazing, you have one of the best content I watch on YT and thanks to you I think im gonna buy a stetson open road, thanks again and Godbless!
That's one of the best comments I've ever received. Many thanks for the kind words, Chief, and for watching the channel, too. Glad you enjoy my content. God bless you, too.
@@historynerdsmancave7567 it's a real honor to me to read this kind answer from you, History Nerd, you can count you made my day warmer and hapier by sending me this message, may Godbless you again and keep the good work!
Definitely more Don Johnson that knowledge dude. Nice hat! I have a Panama with a pencil curl- it’s not a Stetson but it fits and looks good. Thanks for the Video Senior Nerd!
Just finished supper and sat down to relax and watch my favorite YT videos and there was our old friend the History Nerd with a new hat. I can honestly say I think that hat looks great, you look like a true Southern gentleman. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge with us again.
I would definitely suggest a bronze capped walking cane. You should go everywhere this straw hat season with this exact hat. A thin Sheroot t would be a nice touch as well.
I've actually thought about using an elegant walking stick - heck, I've thought about starting a collection of walking sticks - but it seems just a bit too dated, pretentious, and out of the norm for even me. I'll settle for being among the few who wears a hat daily. Thanks for watching!
@@historynerdsmancave7567 following your lead . As and avid History geek myself , I find revisiting cultural trends and historical practices , a wonderful way to celebrate Times when much but not all civil behavior was indeed civil.
Heck, you'd think Stetson would pay me a commission by now. No telling how many hats they've sold from folks like you watching the ol' History Nerd's videos. Many thanks for the support and for watching the channel, Bubba.
I just bought this last week with no information on in whatsoever aside from the 2 Amazon reviews out there, great for the summer. Really glad you made this video!
Been too long since your last video. I knew even before the pic that that hat would look awsome with your seersucker suit.👌 Another entertaining video, thanks.
Thanks for the kind words. I posted a Tecovas boot video just a couple of weeks ago. I'll try to post more often and perhaps include some bourbon reviews, which a number of viewers have requested.
The hat looks good with your suit for sure!. I live in northwest Virginia and folks don’t wear hats that much in the commonwealth compared to where I’m originally from, which is Montana. And so as much as I appreciate this particular Stetson hat, I’m not looking for anything too different because just wearing a garden variety Cattleman cowboy hat is different around here. Which is unfortunate! I’ll keep working on the locals though! Thanks for the excellent review, sir!
Sounds to me that you need to wear a Stetson Open Road up there in Virginia. It’s actually a western crossover hat that you can wear on Wall Street or on a cattle ranch. I’ve done a couple of videos on the Open Road and its history, so check’em out. Thanks for watching.
@@historynerdsmancave7567 Yes, I’ll check out the Open Road. It sounds like it would be versatile hat, especially in these parts. Seems to be very much like the Cruiser made by Tecovas.
You think by now they'd reach out...but nooooo. The Marshall hat had been discontinued years ago, but they recently started making it again after my videos on the hat got more than 100,000 views. Maybe they'll contact me one day. Many thanks for watching, Bubba!
I got two hats from the Village Hat Shop, a nice Panama last year for under $200. Did you order before the 4th? I ordered an Akubra felt hat from David Morgan two years ago just before the 4th of July. Took 8 days to get.
Ordered it just a couple of days after the 4th of July. I will admit that Village carries some hard to find hats in sizes that are difficult to obtain elsewhere.
I had saved a photo of Tom Mix in his giant pencil-curled hat to place in the video but decided to go with the ol' Lone Ranger, instead. Thanks for watching.
All good. Haven’t bought any new hats or boots. Running out of room, quite frankly. Thinking about filming a “History Nerd’s Guide To Cowboy Hat Care and Etiquette” but am not sure if folks would watch. Thanks for checking in.
Well, now you've put the fear of the Lord in me. Gambler hats are apparently like the cursed Tiki necklace that Greg found when the Brady Bunch went to Hawaii.
Just a cheap but cool knife I bought years ago. I use it for opening boxes just like in the videos. Found it at a flea market if I recall. Thanks for watching.
Love this channel and a hat I would never buy, for $ reasons only, so it’s great to see someone test drive this hat.
I think for the 5K we need a tour of the man cave!

Sporting that hat, a southern gentleman may be confused with Rhett Butler. I always liked the "Gambler" style.

Not my favorite of your hats, although it is a still a very attractive hat. But with a seersucker suit.. That is going to look GOOD, and it does!

Yancy Derringer
Sorry, but what is a seersucker suit?
Goggle is your friend, Bubba, Google is your friend…but it’s a lightweight cotton suit that southerners wear with a tie in the summertime heat.
Yelp the ole KFC hat yelp i get it but not my cup of tea...
But this hat looks good on you.
What about Kenny Roger's now hes the Gambler
Moral of this story. Wear a Gambler hat and you will die.
