I my gosh I love my two northern Canadian ‘sisters’! You gals are so genuine. And thank you for showing the rest of us how wonderful friendship with your sister can be!
Jodi- you look gorgeous. I now want to knit the Turtle Dove! The yarn, color, everything looks terrific! Your skin is a beautiful ad for Skyrizi. They need to have you as a model. Love you. You were my sister’s fav. We met you at Stitches West in 2017. She died in 2022. You were so gracious and she talked about it all the time. You are in my favorite memories.
Tracey and Jodie, I have got to tell you this hilarious story and its true. I live in Maryland first of all. Since I watch your blogs all the time and I always heard you talk about Magpie, I thought ( no I'm not crazy...just almost) the yarn shop of my dreams was located in Canada. Too make this story more bizarre, I am a world traveler thanks to the US Navy for 20 years. Don't travel much now that I am 72, but no excuse for not be aware of my own surroundings. When I heard you were coming to Frederick, Md. to visit Magpie Fibers, I dropped my coffee cup with coffee in it just howling with laughter at myself. Found the number to the store, called, and the sweetest lady's voice welcomed me to the store. I welled up inside, relayed my story that if hadn't been for you two ladies, I wouldn't have known where to find them. She was so gracious and explained you two would be in Maryland come October. I told her that I didn't care about the Grocery girls (not true but I was so excited), I was just excited in finding the yarn store of my dreams. Tracy and Jodie I didn't get tickets, but I'm just 56 miles away. You guys can come see me lol. Ms. Jo
Hi ladies, thank you for keeping me company while I wind the yarn so I can start the starry, starry night sweater by Beth MacDonald Stone. Love the beautiful yarn and sharing all yarny goodies. I bought the night and day cowl too 🤦🏽♀️😘😘😘😘
Always fun! Thank you both and thank you soooo much for the shout out again. Jodie - love all of your swatches. Gorgeous! Kits too! Crazy and so exciting!!! Thanks a million and see you both at CakePalooza!
What a delightful morning I have had, knitting my sweater and watching this podcast! You are jewels in this knitting world and your enthusiasm for our craft is so delightful … thank you for your podcast! You guys are the best of the best!!!!
I love you guys, and will try to be at ANY live podcast I can. Thanks for all the joy you bring to all of us, including Denise! Best wishes to you Denise!!! ❤
Love your podcast. I hope you do amazing for breast cancer. I do have a couple women in my family who survived it and I am thankful for those who advocate for it. I also have two cousins who lost their battle with ovarian cancer and I don't know anyone who advocates for it, so it is my passion to do it in their memory. Ovarian cancer is surivivable if caught early, but sadly because there are few symptoms it is often caught in late stages. I hope one day we can raise as much awareness for ovarian cancer as we do for breast cancer. Good luck with your fundraising and thank you for being passionate enough to do so. ♥️
Best of Bridge has the easiest lemon squares. It takes only 1 lemon. They’ve taken it off their site, but you can google it. If you have the books, it’s in the yellow covered book.
Lovely knits and yarn showcase as always. I was out of the country recently and missed all your fundraising activities, but I do contribute to the cause in my own way as I have lost a few friends that way. Congratulations Jody on your anniversary. We just celebrated our 50th and received a congratulatory note from JT. 🤭 If you are still looking for round and round knitters, I can help out. It's Hallmark movie season and I am just south in the land of the Best of Bridge ladies. Have fun in Maryland and the New York Sheep and Wool Festival. Can't wait to see what you acquire. Safe travels.
Crossing my fingers that I get a spot at the Canmore retreat! Our wedding anniversary is during that time, so I’m thinking that Scott will want to come too. If he’s allowed 😊.
If you are driving up to Rhinebeck from Maryland, or NY I hope you will stop by Pick Up Every Stitch for the Road to Rhinebeck event on Thursday from noon to 6 or Friday from noon to 4. The Mt. Kisco shop is halfway between NYC and Rhinebeck and the yarn choices are sublime. Camellia Fiber Co will be there for a trunk show as well, and her yarn is just incredible. We will also have some light bites if you need to take a minute to recharge. Lots of podcasters are planning to swing by and it's always a fun social event. Please come and breathe the pre-game yarn fumes! I will try hard not to fan girl.
I so much relate to not wanting to knit stockinet! That’s why I ended up buying a LK150. Best decision ever after my erlbacher csm. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.
Have a wonderful time at Magpie. I was lucky enough to be at a wedding in that area and my husband and I went to Magpie. It is such a gorgeous store! I am just finishing a sweater made in their Quartet worsted in Hot Tamale. It is stunning yarn! Love you girlies.
Thanks girls for another amazing podcast. I always watch but don’t always comment. How coincidental that I am knitting as I watch with Ash and Eve Designs Yarn. It was a special collab with my LYS a couple of years ago. Finally putting it in a Rock It Tee by Tanis Laverly. Thanks so much for all you do for breast cancer also. And the heartfelt love you give out to all of the friends. 🧡 🧡 Christine, Australia.
Wasps you will find the queen wasps hibernate in a crack or the basement, nook or cranny then when the weather warms up towards 10°c they come out and find another place to grow a nest.
I love everything you two do and say! All knitting inspo is spectacular but something I really appreciate is your Canadian cooking! lol. As a Canadian in the US, some of the things here are a mystery to me ( stuffing, or dressing as they call it here) so it’s always fun for me to hear what you are making and the cookbooks. Best of bridge, yes. Reminds me of my mother. I am on year 2 of long way homestead. Obsessed!
Oh my goodness I'm making that cake pop sweater. I have the perfect yarn I spun up to make that too. I got some beautiful fiber from Hello Yarn last year that would be perfect for an autumn colored sweater. I'm in love.
I’ve heard that the granny square card deck has a lot of knock off versions available (which I believe yours might be) and Claire Montgomerie, the original designer, is working so hard to get people to recognize and buy the authentic version (that she actually benefits from). May I recommend that the link in your show notes link to her authentic version? Or recommend people buy it from their LYS or even Amazon. I believe Claire has information/videos on how to recognize the knockoff. 🥰
I came to the comments to say this. I’m fairly sure yours is a knock off. Please talk about it again you gave the knock off website. I know you would want the original designer to get the credit and future sales.
There are organizations that take wedding dresses and make them into dresses for babies who are still born or pass shortly after birth for their parents to have a special outfit.
Playing hookie from work today, catching-up with you ladies and knitting. It is the best mental health day. Curious if the patterns for the breast cancer fundraiser are available to buy separately to support the efforts. Thanks for all your energy!
I am knitting a hat for a friend who has recurring breast cancer preparing for chemo. She asked me to knit her a hat. I’m knitting it in Cascade heritage yarn on size 0 needles. Knitting the musselburgh. Any one here have yarn or pattern ideas for people having chemo?
I my gosh I love my two northern Canadian ‘sisters’! You gals are so genuine. And thank you for showing the rest of us how wonderful friendship with your sister can be!

Same! I live 45 minutes away, i need to explore my own town! Be careful of Washington DC traffic GG - crazy drivers and non stop back ups
You two put so much joy in our world. This particular show has made me feel the excitement of being a knitter. Thank you!

Just so you both know I went up 2 needle sizes for my James N Watts test knit. I got done with the foot and had to restart because it didn’t fit.

Hi Ladies, great podcast. Traci I love your Galiano socks I just bought the pattern 😊
Mini combos are great help
Just put the Turtle Dove in my queue (again). It used to be free but now it is a paid pattern.
The Doodle Directory book isn't almost here. It IS here. I preordered from Jamie and got mine several days ago!!!
The best of bridge sounds like the Taste of Home cookbooks.
Jordon’s pick of minis for that little crochet vest!
😂 Jodi… “Sh*!, F@, D*” OMGoodness, I’m dying!!!
Epic!😂
😂 I'm sure one of those would have done, Jodi 😂
Frankie Grey, do any of your colours come in light-reflective and non-light-reflective both? It would be so fun to play around with that!! 2:46:10
Hello from your east coast cruise neighbour! 😃
BTWs, Tracie, you and your husband are adorable in you IG photos.
Someone needs to stage an intervention with Tracie and her needlework lol❤
Glad you have some of Susan's Ash n Eve yarn, fabulous yarn and Susan is great, love her live chats...

I have that new book!
Jodie, can you adopt me as your sister? Luscious free yarn - yum!! LOL
