I’m behind but enjoying catching up with you ladies. I’m so glad you had a great trip and enjoyed hearing about your experience. I feel like we need a multi-month KAL. Knitting up your kits, knitting your souvenir yarn, etc.
It was such a joy meeting you both and all my new knitting friends from around the world. Both instructors and cruisers ❤ I’ll cherish this trip forever 🧶🩷🧶🩷
So glad you ladies had a great time. I am new to knitting and found you girls too late in the game (only a couple of weeks now). Next time for sure. LOVE you ladies so much!!!
So glad you guys had a great time. I am a new knitter and found you guys way to late in the game (only a couple of weeks now). Next time for sure - you guys are FABULOUS!
I never seem to catch you live, due to my work schedule, but I am always so happy to see you two. The Alaska trip looked amazing. And Tracie...that sweater is the stunning.
I loved hearing about your cruise!! Alaska is GORGEOUS!! I have been 3 times and could go again. However, I have never investigated yarn shops--silly me!! I also love Windswept yarn. My mom grew up in Newfoundland, and I have family there. I will be looking into the yarn you shared. I so wish I had a LYS--the closest shop to me is about an hour away. I am envious of your future trips! The east coast cruise is so fun, and Murano is lovely! Wish I could join you, but the time and price don't work for me right now. I love the notions nook!! I got one and had so much fun filling it up. Jodi, enjoy your daughter's graduation. It all sounds so wonderful!
OMG! Gay cruise YES!!! I’d totally sign up, and you both can totally go! As a fellow Queen I’d like to say I love and adore you both. Thank you for everything you do! ❤
My twin sister and myself just came home from our first Caribbean cruise…. Amazing, we are hooked on cruising …. can’t wait for our next….. you guys need to do a Caribbean cruise next year…. Amazing……
My friend and I cruised to Alaska 4 years ago and loved it BUT came home sick - and we took a grand rail trip across Canada. By the time I got home to Virginia, I had pneumonia in BOTH lungs. Recovered and all good. But it was a wonders trip and I would love to go again!
My LYS Stilly River Yarns owner challenged her knitting community to knit the National Parks Hats. We finished all the hats and Nancy will be coming to our shop to celebrate with us. So many fun hats!!
I am really enjoying your podcast on the Alaskan cruise. We have not long returned (to Australia) from such a cruise. Unfortunately not with yourselves and Joji plus 90 knitters but with our small knitting group on board. I am reliving my visits to knitting shops - the Beehive in Victoria was my favourite. Now to plan projects with the stash I brought home!
We took an Alaskan cruise about 20 years ago and had the absolute best vacation ever. The grandeur of the landscape is breathtakingly beautiful. We took a helicopter ride to the glacier and when we landed on the glacier and were walking around the pilot popped a bottle of champagne and also brought chocolate. It was a mind bending experience. So glad that you had a great time!
What a great trip you girls had I’m going to my first fibre festival the Kawartha yarn & fibre festival in Kawartha Lakes Ontario it about 2 hours north east of Toronto can’t wait I’m so excited
The amphibians are amazing! I am a Montessori teacher and need those in my classroom. The children would love to dress them. Incredible fine motor work for young children!! ❤❤
When I made the Elton I actually went up a size for the depth at the top because the armhole wasn't going to be big enough so totally advise that. It fits so, so well. Such a fun knit would do another!
I’ve knit 2 Everyday Pullovers with linen quill and LOVE them! So lightweight and good even in summer here in Northern Virginia!! Love y’all!! I also loved Alaska and wish I had been with you!! ❤
Catching up with you and your latest ventures… However, I feel I have to stop before continuing to type this remark. I must say that I got chocked, angry and extremely disappointed when at 42 minutes in, you started talking about what June 6th was the day of … what does it say about us if we cannot remember and respect that day in history? It’s only 80 years ago, give or take the age of my mum, and we put it in the same breath and league as shrimps, apple sauce and PJs…. I am lost for words to be honest. You ,ladies, talk about respect in all aspects of today’s civilisations and communities, standing up for the hurt and forgotten people, having us in tears with you feeling the pain but I strongly believe that this time you missed the boat because we are in debt to these young men and whenever we voice opinions and take any form of actions related to wars in Ukraine and Gazza, we always do it in some measure of what our countries, people, families went through during WWII . What kind of consumerist, shrunk mind have we got to say something like that only 80 years later? I will probably get shot down in flames for this but I know what June 6th meant for my French families and I simply couldn’t let this go past.
As a Brit with family who served in the Second World War I was disappointed too. They fought for our freedom, Canadians served and lost their lives too.
I watched this tonight on replay, and admit I was shocked when you started talking about what day it was…and one of you said June 6….that you immediately did not say D Day and were looking for other days to mark the date….and when you did say D Day …..it was as if it was no more important than the other things google told you 😢……more time was given to Pride month…..and the crazy days. Sorry, I think you missed the priority of what D Day meant to the world. Sounds like your cruise was fabulous, and everything was beautiful, and the classes, yarn stores, conversations and friendships were all the best.🤩
@@GroceryGirlsKnit I must admit-I was FANN-Girling when we met in the Hotel Lobby in Seattle…Michael saw you both 1st. 🤷🏾♀️😁 Meeting you both, your daughters & your Parents was such a treat; what you see is what you get/ you BOTH R so down to earth. 😘😘

Since possums aren’t farmed, how do they get the fiber from them?
The yarn named after a trout was beautiful, but I missed the name/dyer. Did anyone catch it? Thanks in advance x

They did have senior ditch day when I was in school, I graduated in 1977
What a fun tradition!
Can a spouse go on the cruise but not take the knitting portion (like the classes)of the trip?
Absolutely!! Lots of our knitters traveled that way. Makes for such a great trip for you both 😁
