    Am I genuinely seeing comments slandering a band that came before half the commenters were even born?
    TGUK are, and always will be, the foundations for so much of the music that came after them.

    i think it's boring and I've seen them in their soar to speak prime.. just boring overall.... they keep on though so...🤔

    The riffs are over used and repetitive, rock/alternative music is on its ass. There is NOTHING alternative about it because hundreds of "alternative" bands copy the riffs of a thousand bands before them who copied a thousand bands before them etc etc

      That is pretty much how most commercial music works. These guys are tight, in tune, and sound like experienced professionals. The mix is well-distributed in frequency and does not sound muddy. Despite the genius of Kexp audio engineers, that cannot be said for alll the bands Kexp showcases. They can do only so much.

      Tons of bands are still doing a similar thing today, playing pop punk/emo with power chords. These guys were one of the OGees
