That would be depressing. They are cool don't get me wrong but it's elevator music. Willie Nelson would be far more appropriate to name one of many better choices.
I just found them today on TH-cam from the algorithm 😂 Sadly only one concert in Germany next year in cologne / Köln 😂 Leipzig would be better for me or Berlin Absolute amazing band and I usually prefer old 60-70's reggae music ❤
Música cercana, aparentemente sencilla...no lo es . Originalidad de reinventar sonido de los ' 70 . ¡ Muchas gracias, sí 👌! ¡ Saludos desde España 🇪🇦 ❤ !
Honestly was a little disappointed in LB's live singing here, he sounded a little out of his range and also short on air. Still a lovely tune, and worth it just to see them do it all together.
Incredible set. Khraungbin has grown so dynamically live. Everything vibe. I love how Mark is showing influences. From Erin Isley to David Gilmour and beyond. Leezy has that old style funk and the move fo go with it. And DJ pulls it all together. Wish I could have been there. Magic.
My God, the level of talent on that stage is sometimes hard to comprehend. Mark has to be the most inventive guitarist of the last 20 years. Laura Lee and DJ are equally exciting as musicians and complete what is easily my all time favorite trio.
What were you watching... ? This is terrible high school garage band style trash. The girl simply cannot play bass. The guitarist is dreadful... so many mistakes.
My grandfather passed away the Monday before ACL. It was a very heavy and sad week and I was so looking forward to seeing these shows and celebrating life. This band was one of my most anticipated and an absolute treasure especially given they’re from my hometown. I was so moved by their show, singing and dancing with my wife, who I actually met at ACL volunteering a couple years back. I absolutely broke down when they brought down Leon Bridges and he started singing Marielle. That memory will live in me for the rest of my time on this earth. Thank you.
Sorta similar for me too - saw them open for Leon 6 years ago and was instantly obsessed with them. So great to see them getting the attention they deserve
antes veía esa marca como una para principiantes, en mi ciudad hubo un tiempo donde se veían en todas las tiendas musicales y casas de empeño, junto con las Kenneth :0
I gave them a ride at the Joshua Tree Music Festival back in 2017 or so, and that is the first day I found out WHO they were. Heard their music but didn’t know what they even looked like. Nice and down to earth.
I've never heard of this band... I really love their chill style of playing without any of the unnecessary theatrics most bands try to create to make up for their lack of creativity and talent! They make it seem effortless...
I think you missed the Spinal Tap inspired wigs! LOL They are just the right amount of showy (theatrics) when they want to be. Check out their medley's.
My 4 years in Texas. Going down to float the river, those friends, those beers, those long-ass road trips, the weirder kinder side of Texas, beautiful time.
saw them in berlin in november, it was the best concert i've been to. her dancing and hopping was so mesmerizing too. she made me want to start playing bass
Saw these guys play in Denver a couple of years back, and I'm booked to see them in Brisbane in a few months. Do yourself a favour and see them live - they're insane!
The riverstage will be a perfect setting for it. I'd love to be there, but hey, finances and logistics. Hermanos Gutierrez would've been great to see too.
@AnnaKissed36 Riverstage will be perfect, and you're so right, Hermanos Gutierrez is going to be awesome! Fingers crossed, you can catch them next time.
If you ever get tired of them, then listen to Brian Eno and Jon Hassel's "Fourth World." Their album was the antidote to the dry Psychology major I was undertaking back in college.
What makes this amazing besides the incredible pocket, virtuoso guitar playing and bass playing with beautiful feels and melodies is that’s it’s real f’ing music with harmony, melodies, emotion, and depth.
Saw them yesterday, ACL Weekend 2. The best performance of the festival, for me. They are experts at creating - and sustaining - a certain kind of vibe all their own.
Clearly, they are all outstanding musicians and together they are greater than the sum of their parts. But did you notice Leezy was having some sort of technical difficulties in the opening song? Maybe something with volume on her in ears? She’s gesticulating to the crew but still nails every note. What a pro.
