KYRGYZSTAN is a mountainous country in Central Asia, the farthest country from every ocean on the Earth. Its capital is Bishkek. The country presents amazing local culture and nature that consists mainly of the alpine mountains of Tianshan and Pamir.
KARAKOL is one of the big cities in Kyrgyzstan. It is located at 1700 m altitude, at the southeastern side of Issyk Kul Lake. The city is one of the best starting points for exploring Tianshan Mountains
ALTYN ARASHAN is a mountain resort in the Tianshan's Terskey Alatau range, at 2500 m altitude. It is popular for its hot springs, but mainly for the fantastic alpine landscape of the area.

Is the sky starry at night there?

Yes, if there are no clouds. Watching the cosmos at night is spectacular. You are at about 2500 m altitude.

Did you organize a stay at a yurt?

No, but I contacted the yurt camp in Facebook. Most of the yurt camps in Kyrgyzstan have Facebook pages where you can contact them.

Is 2 days enough to be at Altyn Archan ?

Technically yes. You can go on the 1st day on foot for about 5 hours, or for about 2 hours by truck-bus, and back on the next day for the same time. But it is definitelly not enough to enjoy the place, it is so beautiful!
