    Awesome video guys. Interesting story. AltynArashan is amazing in winter time as well, as there are no people there compared to summer time.

    Sitting here in Mexico I can not imagine this cold anymore. Always good to have family and good friends around. Just had our best friends here for a visit. The best gift for xmas.

    That is so cool that your brothers are coming all the way to visit you. I do prefer travelling out of season when there are less other tourists. Haha and those camels that were just walking across the street! In Scotland you get highland cows and sheep that do the same

      I was so happy when they told me they would come to visit me in Central Asia :D We had a blast travelling around the country together!

    I am so happy for you that you got to spend time with your brothers through travel especially not having to see them after 2 years. That natural hot spring looks amazing and even better that you guys have it all to yourselves!

    The sceneries looked like it is other planet! Especially aerial footage is awesome. On your way back from Asia you should also visit Ukraine! I think you might like it considering you like such adventures:)

    It looks so beautiful in Kyrgyzstan. What a country! I love the lack of fences and how the horses are just grazing by the side of the road. Totally free-range! Your drone footage is epic and really gives a different perspective especially in terms of seeing how vast the landscape is :)

    • @journalofnomads
      @journalofnomads  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a country with vast empty wild stretches of landscapes.What is so great about Kyrgyzstan is that it's still very untouched and it's an ideal place for camping and hiking.

    Camels are my love! And the red mountains you were passing by are so similar to my motherland ones... Nostalgic now :) And I'd definitely love to visit those springs! Looks amazing.

    Hot springs are the best! Especially when you are in cold weather. The best hot spring I've been to is the Cacheuta Hot Springs in Mendoza, Argentina. Will never forget it!

    Yay! Spending time with family is the best. I love the shot at 1:43 with all the white trees. So beautiful!! You mentioned that during the winter, there's not many tourists... is the area you guys went to usually crowded with tourists?

    • @journalofnomads
      @journalofnomads  6 ปีที่แล้ว

    What a beautiful place to have the open hot spring. By the way, you will be surprised when summer comes, that there are not really any tourists around then either. You might see some random cyclists and that's it. Looking forward to the next video. Eagle hunting sounds interesting. Nice Jeep by the way! 😃

Cynthia was so cute when she kissed you, it was a heart-warming moment.:) :) Your breath in the cold air shows just how cold it is, and it chilled us to the bone! Those hot springs man... That looked like an awesome time. And how beautiful is that scenery! First you woke up the desire to visit Georgia in us, and now Kyrgyzstan ;-)

    Anyway I could go to that "smellier" hot spring by myself without a guide? If so, where could I get the info and direction to it?

    • @journalofnomads
      @journalofnomads  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it would be a bit hard to get there without a guide but not impossible, you just need to make it to the official hot springs in Altyn Arashan and from there the owners of those indoors hot springs will point you in the right direction. It's just a 15-20 minute walk from there.

    • @journalofnomads
      @journalofnomads  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a gorgeous location indeed but I think it would be a bit harder to go there with the kids unless you carry them and hike there in summer.

  • @TheTravelBugBite
    @TheTravelBugBite 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    What beautiful views! Do you have the drone follow you in the car? I love the animal shots, the dog and camel. I've never been skiing or in that type of hot spring but it looks amazing, I'd love to try sometime! Thanks for sharing :)

    • @journalofnomads
      @journalofnomads  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was manually operating the drone at that point because there were a lot of trees and rocky cliffs around but if you're in an open field, there are settings to have it follow the car automatically.
