They needed a dose before they got moved and the Jacobs are wild compared to the whites.
Would you have moved the sheep where we did?

I loved it when the cow's all went running to and with goats . They were having fun wonder if they thought they were baby cows anyway they weren't at all afraid. They seemed happy to see something else in the field.

The cows' reaction to the sheep was perfect. Our cows had access to rich river bottom fields. We noticed they were hanging around the barn door for a few days. On investigation we found deer tracks on the bottom field. Our delicate coos were spooked.

Always interesting to see what's up on the farm, especially with your other residents, like the sheep. I watch a YT channel of a sheep farmer in Canada, Sandi Brock/Sheepishly Me, and she has the whole breeding/finishing barn systems humming along, including the chutes to manage caring for them since she's dealing with hundreds of sheep. The wormer slung around the neck and the wade-in-and-grab/worm/spray-tag are quite different from what I see on her channel 😄 but makes perfect sense for your little herd. 🐑 They loaded up like a charm for the pasture move and it was fun to see how they scooted around the curious cows to get to the grass. Thanks for another interesting window into your operation, Tom! All the best to you and your family from here in the (insane) States.

Well Tom you are certainly a cow man your face lights up when you talk about your beautiful dairy cows, not so much when you are around sheep, but you look after them really well. My father who was a shepherd always said you either preferred cows or you were a sheep man, I think he was probably right. Keep up the good work I look forward to seeing your videos

  • @alikatyeg3295

Might not be your fave, but you handled the sheep quite well. I was definitely impressed by how quick they loaded! They must have known they were going on vacation somewhere green and lush. The curious cows chasing them were cute. The Jacobs do look like goats without their wool, but the contrast between the white base color and their dark markings was lovely.

One and only time I ever worked with Jacobs was on a YTS scheme on a dairy farm aged 17, pre college- farm had 140 Holsteins and 200 sheep, Inc 30-35 Jacobs. They were mental compared to the docile Suffolk's and Leister's. We called them "Joey Jacobs" no idea why just suited them.

Hi Tom & Luke, great info. today. You crack me up sometimes, because it seems like you never take a breath.
This is farm life. We did the same. Take care of cows so carefully, then to the next breed. The night comes to fast to not move fast, so you can get up early and go again to the next project. Every project and animal deserves the best care, which you guys give.
Take care and stay safe till next time. P.S.-Please say Hi to the family for me. ❤❤❤❤
