In im late but the bar going acroos the back door isnt for a sheep deck even tho u can put up a sheep deck in it but thats just for handling the door and the spring is for raising the ramp for th top deck

Yeah the bar on the back of the trailer and the little gas struts are to lift the back door up so sheep can use it as a ramp to get to the top deck, you then twist the bar to drop it back down, works really well👍
Another great video tom always learn something which is what I’m mad for learning as much as I can about farming for my future career fingers crossed 🤞

The gas struts are to lift the inner bit of tailgate to load top sheep deck. Keep the videos up

We are down south, Sussex and its sodden still. Had a few dry days and got the roller on today and twenty minutes later it was sleet and more rain so that's put paid to that for a few more days. Farm next door has some stock out but we are hill farms and drainage isn't horrendous tbh. Trailer looks good, bit disappointed you weren't playing love songs for the bull before he met the heffers...Thought you'd learnt that lesson Tom!!! Keep up the good work!
Bar and rams are part of the lift for the floor of the ramp to get access to top deck tom lad! Good to see things going well!!!

The round bar on the back of the trailer is for letting the ramp up to the decks back down you turn it round then stand on the ramp

Ifor Williams trailers are first rate but towing behind the tractor will put a lot of strain on it due to the very tight turning circle so try and keep them to a minimum. Make sure it is running level and have the ball at the optimal height.
it is EasyLoad ramp used in conjunction with the folding sheep deck system

Trick for washing lots of much out if you don't know, is to let the sheep ramp in the back door up and it will sqeagy out under the ramp and it's easier to wash ramp when it's steap?
I wish I could click my fingers and get that to work like that, it would make it so much quicker washing out at the market

The thing on the trailer is to pop up the ramp on the door of the double decker for ewes (or at least that's what I use them for)

Too wet to put cattle out here, and even if it was dry enough I would probably keep them in until the grass catches up. Plenty of bales left in the barn yet.
Awe looks like a swamp with all those puddles, love seeing those sweet little sleeping calves.......
We had a bull escape from our cattle trailer when the latch broke while going down the road one time. He was a little roughed up but he was fine. We were almost to the slaughter house when he escaped. We had no idea until we went to unload him and he was gone. A lady saw it happen and got him into the field with her cattle 🐮.

Ok Tom u said that the heifers would hopefully calf out in October 2020. Why do allow Fall and Winter calves? Why not keep the bull separated until Fall and then have all spring calves?
