To be fair, this was recored in 2008, when it wasn’t easy to obtain, let alone upload, an HD digital file of a recording. Either way I agree, 144p is abysmal even for those times. They could’ve managed to at least upload it in 480p.

petrucci15 If you pay attention, he's usually funny and likeable. But I've noticed that American audiences didn't use to take his wry humour well nor do they now.
Is he a stand up comedian or that he "would be"? Some people can be hilarious in some conversations and do great in comedy movies but as a stand up....that would be tough.
Hugh Grant is wonderful! xD I actually cried of laughter so many times during this interview... "... and when he wouldn't get out of his car, I thought 'Waaah, then I'll attack the car!'" The look on his face is hilarious XD !
+Emma J My dad was sat next to him once on a flight to New York and he was reading a review of a film he'd made and he was being so rude and obnoxious to all the flight stewards because it had got a really bad review, so I think he comes across nicer when he's being filmed
@@aaron7803 i think he assumed the woman was highlighting the gap between her own age and Hugh's If Hugh was 50 and she's 37 younger, means she's 13... which he thought was unlikely and assumed she was 23 instead. Hence the gap being 27. At least I'd like to think thats what happened
I would hazard a guess and say he's probably unfulfilled as an actor. I think he's a very good one, but he always gets the romantic comedy roles that may have left him typecast. He did a film with Gene Hackman years ago called 'Extreme Measures' a thriller, although not a box office smash, but his best acting performance in my view, but hey, what do I know..?
His best acting role was in Cloud Atlas... then again it was the best acting role for many of the actors involved in that film, including Tom Hanks and Jim Broadbent. Tom Hanks was just too good as a cockney.
he made a mistake it doesnt mean that he is a bad guy or smt!! we all made mistakes cuz we are all human!! and judging him for his mistakes makes you more poor than me ! so accept or not he is the hottest man alive and also a great actor and a kind respectful person !!
"You're better, funnier, much better looking and with a smaller tongue". What a line! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 1 min 47.7 is a very good time and a time to be proud of.
That would be James Hewitt...he's one of the first few people to have set times on their track after they changed the car from the Suzuki Liana to the Chevrolet Lacetti.
I LOVE how honest and hilarious Hugh is
How was he honest haha
Sadly this cuts out Hugh's line about the new film he's come to promote. "It's a romantic comedy, which is something I've never done before." 😂
Due to the unique way the BBC is funded, this episode was filmed with a toaster rather than a camera, hence the 144p quality.

Hugh Grant makes me feel warm inside when ever i hear his voice :)
love you Hugh !
Hugh banter with Jeremy really natural...i love it
I'm surprised how funny and likeable he is in this interview
petrucci15 If you pay attention, he's usually funny and likeable. But I've noticed that American audiences didn't use to take his wry humour well nor do they now.
Why surprised! He has always been so witty! :)
he's ALWAYS funny and likeable...
I love Hugh Grant. He is so good at interviews he is hilarious.
He is actually a great stand up comedian rather than an actor. And I love all his interviews.
Is he a stand up comedian or that he "would be"? Some people can be hilarious in some conversations and do great in comedy movies but as a stand up....that would be tough.
Not in person I’m afraid!!!!
He’s a good actor most of his movies are good and he’s got an endearing personality

Incredible, this man is 49 years old, but he is so young and full of humour. A wonderful person.
He's well into his 60s

He's so British.
Yes its almost like he is British🤔
I’d say so English…he’s nothing like the rest of Great Britain….
"British" isn't a personality trait. He's English.
@@dougm659 Truth. He's definitely one type, but there are many.
Because Hugh Grant is so well-spoken, I thought he'd be a stuck-up little dweeb, but he's not, he seems like a genuine, down to earth kinda guy.
Dweeb? No way, he’s charming, endearing in an awkward way, posh, funny, and a good storyteller
We love this dude.
I wish he was 28 again and making movies in England again instead of in the US.
Love his wit. He’s so funny.
LOVE his voice and accent !
Public school boy accent!
Like Ustinov, he seems to be God's gift to the talk show host. He's never stuck for an anecdote and he's always funny throughout.

If you're going to be angry, follow it through... Prophetic words !
One of the best Top Gear interviews ☺
"Contains strong language"
Hugh Grant swearing, yay, gotta watch this ! x)
He went to Latymer Upper School and graduated from Oxford with a 2:1 honours. So people seem to have it all.
Oh Hugh, never fails to make me lol :)

hahhahahahahaha that one made my day
Hugh's amazingly funny, I'm impressed.
and THEN he interviewed me.

Heck yes. He's stunning.
Love his sense of humor, and well of all the cars he pushed the porshe the most, lmao!
Not really. He pointed out the seat is not aligned with the pedals - something I always hated about the Beetle (a very inferior car to the Mini)!
I want to Hugh Grant when I grow up
LOVE that accent and hugh grant! platonic lovee forever

Brilliant in Maurice, before he got typecast
He got his chance to really act in BBC tv A Very English Scandal, in which he played to perfection, Jeremy Thorpe, the Liberal Party scion.
