Don’t sweat those Anthony. Everyone makes some mistakes in the beginning. In my early days i used my amex Green to get gas for only 1x. Then used those MR pts for statement credit 🤦🏻♂️

At least you were able to get subs on the amex green, gold, and platinum. I got the 150k on the platinum before the amex family language so I probably wont ever be able to get a green or gold card sub

Using MR points to transfer to Delta is not necessarily a mistake, especially if the flight has discounted award redemption and also if you have a Delta SkyMiles Gold or better card that can give you 15% off the SkyMiles redemption. Then you can get at least 1.4 or 1.5 cpp which is not great but better than the usual Delta redemption.
Yes that’s a very good point, decent CPP for a great airline, and even better if you have a Delta Gold + to get the free checked bags etc but that’s a different story.

Been there on transfers to Delta and not evaluating AFs often enough. Don't even want to think about all the MR pts I went through via the AMEX travel portal for hotel stays thinking I was getting a good deal 😭😭😭 Live and learn! Thanks for the info + video!

I haven't had many mistakes with credit cards. One I remember is getting the Fidelity credit card with no SUB. Every card after that I'm sure to get a SUB for.

We all make mistakes bud, I've made so many mistakes in this game and the game of life. It's not the mistake that defines you. It is the actions, decisions amd steps after the mistake that show your true character. Admitting fault and learning from it. Mistakes are the best teachers in life. There is a saying, "The wisest old man made the poorest decisions as a kid". We live, we learn, we carry on. Being able to openly admit these and more just proves your humility, and I value that in a person.

These L’s don’t look too bad when you line them up with the W’s. My personal worst mistake is booking a Jack the Ripper walking tour using Citi TYP 1.25X. At the time I was frustrated with Citi and looking to kill all my points so i could move on. I have since changed my mind and sometimes chuckle at the idea of using TYP in that way.

My biggest mistake was the Synchrony bank Norwegian Air card. Wasted a 5/24 slot on it while I was moving forward in the game.

@@AnthonyVenture they discontinued it and instead of product changes synchrony just closed all the cards. Their point values were trash but at the time I was thinking I needed a card for grocery multipliers. And before COVID flights to Europe through Norwegian Air were the bomb
