My $50 was supplied as $50 statement credit towards my bill, so i didn't have to worry about getting a gift card to apply it somewhere.

Here's my reply ... I talked about this in my live today! I have decided that traveling for Free ("the Joy of Free") excites me more than Max Value. FOR EXAMPLE: I felt better about an Embassy Suites for $0 out of pocket at 0.85 CPP than I did an Intercontinental where I had to pay for resort fees and breakfast at 1.1 CPP. Even though the Intercontinental was a better value (and would have been something like 1.7 CPP if accounting for the suite upgrade), I couldn't help but look at that bill and be a little sad. I really like free!

If you’re going to have one keep a 10% revolving balance for credit purposes.

I don't mind churning as long as I don't have to deal with multiple apps and logins just for credit cards. Amex is my main card and of my 8 cards, 5 are Amex. My other 3 are Discover, Fidelity, and the Elan version of the US Bank Cash+. I use Discover and Fidelity for banking and investments, so no extra login. The Elan card is annoying to log in to, but 5% on utilities and phone bills is amazing and it's on autopay. I've stayed away from Chase and Citi because their banking products are riddled with fees and laughable interest rates. Capital One is a choice I'm interested in as I have checking and savings, but they won't give me the SUBs.

Those last two (guy who buys gift cards for his mom, and lady who likes Delta) seemed like they were SO CLOSE!!!! So close to mastering things! But so far away.

What I find idiotic is chases rule of 5/24 that’s supposed to help limit churners and people who abuse SUB’s, yet they will keep approving you and others for SUB’s every 6 months for a new ink. Doesn’t make sense at all.

Long post……So yeah, the one thru Hilton is not bad ! But you have to make sure it thru Hilton, me and my wife took the one thru Hilton a couple years ago, went just like this. They called us back up last year but be aware ! Because another timeshare used the Hilton hook to make us think it was thru Hilton, we took the Hilton Head, SC one. Only to find out when we got there that it was a subsidiary to Hilton, Spinnaker. It was absolute trash, we had like 200k points from our Hilton awards and ended up using them to stay at Hilton grand resorts but still had to go to Spinnaker presentation which was trash. So if they call you back to take another one. Make sure it’s thru Hilton and not a Hilton subsidiary!

I stayed in the Hyatt Regency Dulles last year between Christmas and New Year for 3,500 points per night before it moved to a category 2. Definitely a nice hotel and for anyone without status, the parking is essentially on the honor system, although I recommend asking the front desk if they'll waive the parking fee, just to be safe.

Another reason bilt could be dropping evolve bank is because they will not give clients credit limit increases. I have the original beta version since the beginning and was approved for only $700 and through the years I’ve always try to ask for a credit limit increase and evolve bank will always tell me no and put the blame on Bilt it’s not allowed and to contact bilt, and when I contact bilt, they will tell me it’s not up to them It’s up to the bank. Maybe there have been enough complaints that Bilt is tired of it.😂 Just got approved for the Wells Fargo version and the 10,000 points was instantly deposited into my Bilt account.

Interesting, I have not been approved for this one thankfully I wasn’t just wasted HP that were denials ha. It will be interesting to see where the Bilt card goes from here.

It makes sense they're cutting ties with Evolve Bank, but it's probably going to be annoying for some people applying for a new card if they care about their Chase 5/24 status

Loved the video! That final hotel was too expensive for my taste but for a special occasion I think it might be worth it 😊 Also, I don’t agree that any of the stuff that they give or do for you is “free”. It’s all paid/accounted for in the bill, they just don’t show you 😂
