Little note on the bastion stuff from my own use of it yesterday. The Lightning Surge Aspect on Arc and Prismatic does work for the buff. 👍
I'll take any buff to that aspect i can get honestly
Byf is using Bastion because he's trying to be lore accurate and make it his favorite weapon.
I’ve gotta mention it, One For Thrall on Nechrochasm is not just One For All +some extra stuff, it is refreshable One For All. This is now the best ease of use damage buff in the game.
I have yet to get that weapon, I need to get it off ma list
I’ve used it a lot so far. Necrochasm is now an excellent exotic primary. Between explosions, poison (which has synergy with Necrotic Grip), a damage buff AND a fire rate buff, there’s nothing else you could want.
I'm not even mad at how long this took tbh. The combination of the final shape and the new Episode dropping left us with a lot of new content to enjoy. You been working hard Cross, you deserve grace to take all the time you need

As an avid Lament user I obviously hate the nerfs... but what I hate more is that they never fix that stupid delay when hitting guard.
It should be immediate. Press guard and artack, but we just have to stop after every combo, guard and let it Rev up and then attack.
The sheer amount of times where I keep doing normal attacks because the guard doesn't register is horrible.
Hopefully the catalyst fixes it
Some of this is dependent on how many uncharged attacks you do before guarding (also assuming you have 1 lucent blade mod equipped). IIRC doing two uncharged light attacks after the heavy (I think this is the right number but using that weapon is just muscle memory at this point so I’d have to actually confirm in game) places the sword on the right side of your body making the animation to come up to the guard position take less frames and thus making it faster. There will still be a small delay but it is noticeably faster than activating guard when the sword swipe ends in the down and left position.

I just thought about this, but I wonder how well it would work with Song of Flame. Would that apply scorch on every strike?
@TheRamenRider it's not really the rev.. it's the little delay between pressing guard and the shield popping up.

@scariestgariest6976 oh I know... what I mean is that you should be able to switch modes on command. After a light hit, if you press the guard button then the next hit should automatically be the special hit. Waiting for the guard animation and the shield popping up for a charged hit is annoying and breaks fluidity
The ammo needed to proc Divinity cage has always been weird. Before the changes, It could proc with as little as 4 ammo and as much as 15 without missing, most consistent was 10 ammo. It probably uses a combination of ammo expended and time spent shooting to proc the cage (All Trace rifles have a 1000 rpm stat), so small server hiccups making it appear that you shot longer than you did would explain the inconsistency. It doesn’t matter in PvE, except for shooting red bars, but being unchanged in PvP keeps it from being nerfed for no reason.
im pretty sure bungie nerf it for future tormentor and subjugator bosses encounter like wicked implement boss back then when if you have div for tormentor bosses that will be really helpfull, because without divinity people are so struggle to deal with tormentor who moves alot and there is time limit to deal with that why bungie nerf divinity
@@zonk2391still dumb to nerf it at all. This change does little to nothing and it didn't need ANOTHER nerf in the first place. It's like they don't want people using weapons for their intended purpose
I absolutely HATE that Eriana's now takes 2 shots to break a barrier.
Even with the ignition buff the cost of firing 2 special ammo shots is such bullshit, and it's the exact same thing that killed the Second Chance titan gauntlets upon their release.
Better to use Revision Zero or Wishender since they have infinite ammo and do more damage to barriers.
Hell, I'd take any of my adaptive munition/Under Over legendary weapons over Eriana's any day.

With Cerberus you want to swap back and forth from focus fire and regular fire because every time you activate focus fire it reloads the weapon so if you do it right you never really reload you just aggressively slap the thang over and over
Cerberus is the type of gun you could smack on the ass and it would make you a sandwich
What doesn’t make sense for the lament nerf is why reduce the high end stack damage anyways rather than just reduce stacks in general? Nobody is gonna want to reach high stacks so they won’t go out of their way to build the stacks. You’ve effectively made stacking it useless and seems meaningless to have it even stack to x9 at all. I just feel like there could have been a better way to bring it in line rather than just destroying the need to ever use high stacks ever again on the sword.
It was known for at least 2 years that when you do 2L1H with Lament you dont have 7x combo, as the combo jumps to 9x the moment you click heavy attack (proof is in also in the video aswell) so both combos (3L1H and 2L1H) were actually 9x. This is why the results are very close to each other (only 1k difference). The reason why the difference is a bit bigger in present is probably because the diminishing returns mechanic added to Lament are calculated by the number of light attack hits and not by the combo counter.
Now bungie needs to go and buff the regular exotics that are being used for the exotic class items to give them more personality.

The current exotic armors are already different than the class item “spirit of” perks. The “spirit of” perks are only half of the real exotic perk.
Ex: spirit of assassin loses the healing, spirit of liar loses the healing, spirit of ophidian ONLY readies weapons faster, etc etc
Just compare the “spirit of” perk to the actual exotic armor to see what I mean.

Lament nerf was such a gutpunch. It was already not getting used except for in one encounter in duality crotas end and sometimes DSC lmao. And ONLY if you had none of the objectively better legendary swords.

I don't understand why higher stacks should ever do LESS damage than lower stacks?? There are 0 situation where you would want high stacks. Less DPS and less total damage. How is that good?

For Cerberus+1, the buff refreshes on a kill. Not helpful for killing Carl, but for clearing a room of adds, or even in PvP, it's perfect for keeping that firing mode going!
People are overlooking it like crazy. It’s essentially the strongest version of kill clip on any weapon in the game. +50% damage, tighter spread, “inverted” range, refresh on kill, and instant reload on perk activation. If Kvohstov wasn’t so objectively overpowered this would be taking the world by storm

Prismatic hunter works best with updated Bastion. You can now pair khepris sting with grapple melee and it will proc both when you grapple melee and stack their damage. It will also weaken and unravel your target. Both aspects of Bastion work with this combo greatly increasing damage.

@@Riven-117tcrash meta didn't come at the cost of neutering hunters, prismatic hunter is meta because they robbed everything from titan and left prismatic titan in a lobotomized state. They also nerfed banner of war 4 times only for the hunter to do more damage with less setup
Heads up, that explosion from Necrochasm counts as arc, you can do some fun stuff with that, getting amplified, etc.
Been using symmetry on my prismatic strand/arc build and the fragment that procs the sever debuff on rapid precision hits, while taking a bit to proc, hits hard. Spreading sever while also charging the arc seekers combo really well, you basically have two special weapons. I run this with the call sidearm with demolitionist/desperate measures and a threading grenade for constant transcendence darkness energy. I love the theme of running arc and strand as a sort of “live wire” style of skillset.
Waiting patiently for my Titan rework/buff news.

Titan and a change to arc subclasses across the board I think are needed. Arc is just dead dead, outclassed by everything.
Truth is even better now when invading. The amount of time I've wiped the whole team with one shot is wild.

my friends have been using it for anti barrier and volatile synergy on titan but its still dogwater

@@SavvyMon4 It still doesn't have a catalyst. Maybe a faster rpm will be the catalyst perk if they add one, although I have a feeling they won't since they added Anti-Barrier on top of the weaken and volatile.

Deterministic chaos needs the bullets cut in half. Instead of 4 and 16. 2 and 8 would be way better. Plus a 40%ish damage buff

i didnt know about DMT buffs, it was just always a gun after updates that i would see feels different in terms of balance and now it feels like its back
Can they just make every sidearm not block the reticle?
Or at least make more lightweights/adaptives/etc that don't do that.
That's the only reason I struggle to use them on K&M. When they don't do that, I hit all my shots! But all of the best options of my favorite sidearm frames do that.

Aztecross you might find this interesting. I found that swarm grenades proc onslaught 3x on breakneck with enhanced onslaught for some reason
Enhanced Onslaught on ANY weapon will go to x3 when you use ANY grenade in general. Been a bug this whole expansion so far. So feel free to use any grenade and any enhanced Onslaught gun you want.
Bastion and Truth got amazing glow ups. I look forward to using them.
Is bastion not working with most melees intended? Or has bungie said anything about fixing/changing it? It’s really nice, and sitting here watching I was planning on infusing it up and throwing it in my Titan prism build, but if it doesn’t work with any of the good melees, there’s no reason to lol

Eddy current is actually really good now. I have a couple of weapons with it and I tried it and I've been really surprised.
It's only good if you can get amplified regularly, but if you can, it's great in that kind of build
Queenbreakers Bow should be able to 1. switch between firing modes by holding reload and 2. do damage to antibarrier and overload champions in the respective modes. i think giving lord of wolves intrinsic unstoppable at the same time would be a great buff going into the fallen-based episode 2
QB is so good rn people dont realise. The description doesnt state but it can stun Unstoppable. Aoe lightning on hit AND blind. I used this last GM to blind Wyvern from faraway, make them stop doing the teleporting bs. The ammo economy is kinda okayish but it def better then lot of exotic heavy rn.
If I were to use any special in the energy slot it’s erietas hand cannon, barrier and overload, also it got a nice scorch buff
Hazardous propulsion, Truth, prismatic weaken suppressor nade with the void artifact mods for more weaken damage with void weapons makes for a pretty potent combo.

I like how when you get to any level of nightfall osteo feels like it wasn’t nerfed, like the nerf only affected it in the lowest end of pve
The reason Lament at x7 did similar to x9 was because the heavy actually does 2 attacks before doing the big attack.
Blocking gives one stack of BW. So, 2 light attacks give 7 stacks yes, but the heavy gives 2 more stacks (9 total) leading to very similar results. The optimal way to use lament is still 2L1H.
The x4 test was the actual x7 number.

How to make truth usable:
Add increased damage depending on the distance from the target.
40m = Max Damage
Makes use of the hard track and big AOE. While also giving it a better identity.
How to make Cerberus usable:
Give it fourth horseman treatment. When changing to focused firing mode you gain 10 bullets that do massive amounts of damage and can be fired rapidly just like 4th horsemen.
I just want a Heart of Inmost buff before I die.

The QoL change for Hard Light and similar is oddly one of the things that excites me most.
I'm not sure if Deterministic Chaos always did a 30% weaken debuff, but in some of my Witness Runs that seems to be the case, and it is by far the most effective debuff method with that kind of number

That bastion change is kinda wild. I was messing with it on hunter, but I kinda want to mess with it on strand Titan and Wishful Ignorance. I want to see if you can chain shots between melees considering it has four shots and you’ll have four melees, theoretically you could combo shot melees. At max stacks of banner, I wonder where this will stand in terms of damage against a boss.
I prefer quality over speed, take your time. Your videos are of great quality so i dont mind waiting a bit.

As a warlock main im not at all biased for thinking that queenbreaker should get eddy current, since its constant blinding means plenty of ion traces, and the buff to the fragment that causes blinding explosions on amplified arc special (and now heavy) weapons would solve the reload issue really easily. Considering that queenbreaker is always seen as not quite competitive, it probably could use this.

Man, the Flint Striker mod made Polaris Lance absolutely broken last season. It’s still good now, but getting INSTANT Radiance every single time just felt so satisfying.
I have been using truth a lot i pve, i really line it!
I might use Truth on a Voidlock, with this seasons Artifact mod that buffs Void damage.
For bastion, make the charge rate even faster and narrow the spread.

I like the Truth changes, they made me consider pulling Truth from my collections for 5 seconds.
I was hoping that Bastion charge speed was a way faster so I could melee/shot a guardian but I understand they don't want it to be crazy on PVE.
I don't know if it is a glitch but deterministic chaos doesn't pierce hydra or cabal shields. And they should give it fourth times the charm.

ideally the cerberus perk should be maybe a second SHORTER. because then you can net a new kill before running out of ammo and start her up again (free instant reload)
