I love the symbolism of taking the hearse to Pattinson basically saying, You're dead now, we have the evidence
Fr
This case is based on a similar case that occurred in 1944 in Los Angeles. A man, Jay Dee Chitwood, was struck and killed by a speeding car outside of a bar. The victim's wife later claimed she stabbed her husband after an argument in the street. Strangely, the wife's testimony was contradicted by the absence of a stab wound on her husband's body. It was later revealed the wife lied about stabbing her husband.
This case also had an impact on the city, because by 1948, Los Angeles city council passed an ordinance to improve pedestrian safty by constructing new footpaths, this way pedestrians won't be hit by traffic unintentionally.
Actually Torrance 's case. Torrance is part of the Los Angeles County.
That's wild to hear I'm sure LA had a lot of unregulated safety rules back in 1940s, she probably admitted it in her testimony out of guilt for the husband.
If you have anymore stories about cases, plz tell. It's very fascinating to hear how real life and video game are put together.
4:05 the crunching of the man's neck lmao
Speaking of murder over life insurance. There is this infamous case in Texas on Halloween in the 70s when the father poisoned his son with pixie sticks laced with potassium cyanide. The father lied to the cops saying he got it from one of the house occupants who failed to answer the door during the trick or treat until the cops realized that the father poisoned his son to claim life insurance so he can ease his financial debts. During his son's funeral he even claimed that he's thinking of "taking a long vacation". After the father was arrested he was sentenced to death.
The father didn’t just kill his son . He also tried to poison his daughter but she didn’t eat the candy . The police had to protect his jail because there was an angry mob of people that wanted to kill him . The wife had no idea of the husbands plot . The detectives also caught on to it early because who puts a life insurance policy on children ?
@@theprofessional155I remember you talking about it on one of your ace attorney video. But yeah it was horrible killing someone over life insurance

Find the bloody knife, you can find what makes this case feel very intentional.
When the newspaper is the last clue, the final sound doesn’t play.
Wasn't it a sound it played before?
Fun Fact: Dr Harlan at 21:40 is voiced by Peter Blomquistthe, same VA for Micah Bell in RDR2.
Micah bell back then? Sick!

That bloody knife is the clue I remember the most from this game because you get a trophy/achievement if you find it on the first try, and it's the only reason why I remember that cafe being called "Ray's Cafe"
The most infamous case of a spouse committing mass murder to mask killing the other spouse is the DC sniper case. He and his young accomplice killed 17 random people in the DC area all so he could eventually kill his exwife and hoping she would just be seen as another victim in the attacks.
Also, with life insurance these days, the insurance isn't paying a dime if there is any chance of foul play and they have very specific clauses in their policies to cover that. If there is, the beneficary will effectively prove themselves innocent of any involvement. Even in that case, the company might force it into court just to be jerks. Not a great way to make money all told.
Detective Patrick reporting for duty🔥
In here, you can call me Jerry.
Okay sir.
Okay. Jerry!
He took the candy bars he had poisoned in order to kill someone but was caught putting the poison back into storage at his workplace and was fired. That's why he shot the security guard on Monk. I think his brother Ambrose bought the poisoned bar but ate a different candy bar that expired five years ago. And yes he was trying to kill his wife. I remember watching that episode of Monk. Didn't Monk solve the case cuz he found a dead bird that was poisoned? Let's hope L. A. Noir has good cases
Perfect timing pro needed something good to watch
-come in wont you?
pro barges into the kitchen
17:08 this part reminds me of that video Egoraptor made Awesome Noire where the witness is giving her statement and there was a pause with the options on the top left corner while Phelps is trying to draw a sketch of a witness frustrated he said: "GOD THESE FUCKING LIPS!"
Does anyone remember that video? LOL
Monk was one of my favorite detective tv shows, the cases were very interesting as well
Agreed. The one where Monk finally outsmarts the chess grand master was my favorite one.
This case has two different endings. This is the only one that has two different endings and how to apprehend the suspect. 😊 If you get all the clues on the first scene of the crime. This is what makes L.A. Noire a great game.
I like that it has two endings because then it plays out like it would on a tv show
@@theoutsiderjess4869 it's the only case that has that. wish other cases in the game did that as well, but i think it didn't had the budget to do that.
Enjoying the series got me playing this classic. I still got it since launch day
Hey TP just want to say I got into your channel for the lore videos and this if my first time watching a LP and I have to say I’m glad I did, I like how you talk about how things were in these days and explain different backstories, I know I’ll be busy with stuff to watch or at least listen to while I’m working the next month or 2 :)
I was going to restart the game and play it but I’m gonna wait till you’re finished but I did complete all the story case missions that are required to route two progress through the game and all the DLC cases basically which are the patrol cases.
I was waiting patiently for this and as I enjoy most of your content
Loved this game
Bravo Pro! this game still looks fantastic after all these years, love everything it stands for, need to pick up the remaster once and for all and dive back in with a fresh play 🖤🙌
It's nice how Rockstar made one of the few real life railroad references which is Southern Pacific
hey Pro just wanted to let you know I do really enjoy this series for some reason I find it calming especially when you start telling stories related to the game I even watch while in bed just to fall asleep after a tiring day
Thank you!
You can press SPACE near NPCs that aren't important to the case but they still give you a little bit of dialog
@Theprofessional thank for the video love your cosplay 💯
I love that you're able to use your degree while playing a game, quite insightful
Really nice that we get to see all possible endings
I don’t remember that this case where that guy pulls out a shotgun, but to be fair, I did Skip some of the cut scenes, but not all the Cutscenes
Alternative ending (Spoilers)
Maybe you arrested the guy in pattisons home
I don't know where you find the time to play 5 different games, edit the footage and post it, but I really appreciate the work you do. Great game.
If I remember correctly, I think you run into Bekowsky on a later case, maybe Vice. IIRC, both the husband and wife were pretty toxic in this case. NICE, you got the warning shot ending. Don't think I ever pulled that off on this case.
You should make a video on the street crimes you can come across since several characters you meet In other cases like this one and the previous make an appearance there
remember that gold doorknobs are doors u can open
Drive over the crime scene so you can contaminate the evidence.
perfect youtuber for games like this
Thank you for covering the myth of shooting in the leg!!
I never got shit out before and I thought I had but I wanted to do bad to see what would happen and eventually in the game you’ll have to pick which person to charge but either way like even if the detective says it to you arrested the right person. It is revealed that it’s not that’s all say no more spoilers.
The dialogue in this game is great 😂 also never apologise for laughing while playing man.. 👌🏻
The game is good and the infos you gave are interesting !
The way he got hit by that car my goodness 😮
Dr micah fontaine
Looking fresh man !
While I understand the uniqueness of this game, great facial techonology and awesome acting, I think what ruined this game for me is the repetition. I feel like most of the cases in this game don't serve any purpose besides padding the game. I wish it focused more on quality over quantity but still a good game.
Are you going to wear the different suits on the different desks?
When professional seen that knife i knew that dude was dead before the accident
Learned a lot more about how police think during a case.
1) criminals are not intelligent and get caught for doing bad mistakes.
2) leg injuries can be fatal.
Well do you guys know what game that have similar theme, mechanic, or story like LA Noire? I’ll love to play another detective-mystery solving game set in 1940s-1980s.
Mafia 2 is the closest one
@@alkhoajathat's not a detective or mysterious game
In the game I skipped some but not all of them
A few of these characters in this case you can meet them again in the later random street crimes.
1:00:50
Now that you mention it, in GTAOnline if you shoot enemy NPCs in the leg they will eventually die from bleedout almost 100% of the time. It's a good tactic if you're facing respawning enemies that chase you as it will get you extra time to get into cars whiel they're on the ground bleeding out.
Also, I really love Traffic. Captain Leary is so affable and nice in the way he gives credit. Of course, if you mess up too hard he's going to be quite scary.
This is gold
I’m new to ur channel are u going to play more payday 3
25:01: It was Doubt because Cole asked what he knew about the accident to which he was being vague about it
x to doubt keep it up
A heads up Professional for the next part.
When you were at the crime scene at rays cafe and the music kept playing. Its cause of the newspaper. For some reason it counts as a clue. Once you examine it and the music stops playing that means all clues have been found. It wont trigger till after the cutscene. It happens for quite a few cases. If you find the newspaper before you find all clues than the music will act as normal. I'm not sure if its a bug or intentional.
as you know you found all the clues at rays cafe it shows in your notebook as crossed off/checked marked. It means you found all clues. Hope this helps for the future!
Awesome
Dudley Lynch's voice actor sounds like he's speaking through a headset mic lol
I played it on my ps3 but man that thing kept Glitching but they should make a remaster on ps5
Thr video by Inter got some people thinking that GTA VI will be the las of the gta series. What do you think pro?
ye but which ending is canon? does Lorna survive or die?
More like Lorna is getting what’s coming to her.
The monk case the professional mentions is called mr Monk comes home again. Season 4 episode 2
One thing I'm confused about. What does it mean when someone has life insurance policy? How does jt work? How does money with it work? Don't get it
Basically, if you die, yoour family gets money. Usually a lot of money.
Remember when suspected given eye contact that mean true but when a suspect is lack of eye contact or either looking around or sometimes making a dumb face on themselves it’s doubt or lie.
hey pro hope you see my comment but do you know the elemental guy he came and tried to harrase me in your ace attorney videos
Yes! Monk is my favourite show ever :)
This case hit and run was shocking police officers thought 💭 the victim died from car hit but he was stab
Love the content bro, if you are interested I think you should try ace attorney investigations miles edgeworth it's a spinoff to the original ace attorney game series but I think it's something you would enjoy hope it gets a remake one day ❤❤❤🎉🎉 keep it going brother
What's ur favorite game that u played during the channel
