- This is Rockstar's 2011 LA Noire. In the game you play as Detective Cole Phelps and later insurance investigator Jack Kelso. The story takes place in the late 1940s in Los Angeles. On this part Cole finds a stolen car ring.

Apparently im not the only one who had trouble with this case. I looked it up. Alot of people complained about this case. Some people say its the worst case in the game. Alot of the questions and evidence make no sense. That question at the warehouse near the end pissed me off. Does anyone else agree with me on the questions?

Hey Pro I just wanted to thank you for reinvigorating my interests in GTA, specifically GTA V, my dad started watching your playthrough's completely by random and turned your channel onto me, and he got me to reinstall GTA V which we've replayed (with the Menyoo trainer that makes it 100x better 👌) and been looooving it.
Better than just about any other gaming channel 👍🏻
One thing worth remembering is that when this game came out, the interrogation options were called "Truth" "Doubt" "Lie" instead of Good Cop, Bad Cop and Accuse. They say they changed it to better reflect Cole's response because Doubt often saw him get angry with a suspect when the player may have been only mildly suspicious of someone. Keep that in the back of your mind in future.
I agree the question was messed up but I think rockstar wanted you to really accuse these guys because they are the bosses of the operation and cops usually pushes answer on the bosses of organizations.

Fun fact: If you get in one of the cars for sale in Coombs lot, he'll come running out yelling "Hey! What the hell do you think you're doing?!" but he can't stop you lol. Bekowsky will then get in and laugh, "I like your thinking! Guys an asshole. We'll call it evidence. He can pick it up later."

Historically in this period, the mafia had operations in Los Angeles, LA times did a story on it, it is not inconceivable that Jean Archer could have made a caporegime not too happy.
And given she would be an associate, she'd have a limited lifespan.
Hey Pro little tip: If u see a straight face it is a good cop, if u are not sure or the person is making weird faces then it is a bad cop and if u see a contradiction then accuse.
Also don’t be fooled by appearances. There’s a suspect in one of the dlc cases in the Vice desk who seems innocent and you’d probably be easy on due to outside appearances but they’re one of the biggest liars in the game. If you know you know

Tip, in case you didn't already realise clue music will play even if you have music set to 0 in settings, saves you from having to go into settings every time you visit a crime scene
30:45 They sometimes give you location that there's really no point in visiting yet. Usually if your partner suggests a location, it's probably best to go there first.
36:31 The proof here was they used the same fake address on their papers, which I would argue doesn't prove he knows her. A criminal enterprise that's run well will only have employees meet if neccessary since no one person should know the names of everyone involved.

1:04:13 You can actually have more than one piece of evidence that will work for accuse. The main thing is that you should listen to what the suspect says after you hit accuse. They'll often tell you what you need prove to break them. Of couse like Ace Attorney, this game will have it's own weird logic for which choice is correct.

I think the final interrogation with bigelow isn’t really rockstars fault more or less the fact that accusing him was the best outcome. If you read the tutorial the game says “if you know someone is lying and have proof of it press accuse. And if you do but you can’t prove it then press doubt”. Now obviously with that final encounter there was significant proof that it was accuse not doubt. I do think rockstar should have been more clear about the evidence.
Here's the thing about the question at the warehouse: Phelps asked the guy about the details he knew about him. There was a ledger that Leitvol had originally been hesitant to provide, and that stated that he had been making numerous deliveries to the same warehouse, with Bigelow's name mentioned specifically - exposing his knowledge of the individual as a result. I'm assuming that's the logic Rockstar used, here?

20:54: This one was indeed tricky, but the correct answer was Truth. True, he should've known about the pink slips he gives when he sells the cars. However, he knows them to an extent since his business is mainly selling used cars at exorbitant rates
22:56: It was Doubt because what reason would he write a check if the car met the right specifications
needed to be bought from him?
36:29: You almost had it hook, line and sinker. It was Lie with Archer's pink slip as proof. Both pink slips had the same address.
37:26: It was Doubt. He didn't mention an address about WHERE in downtown he gets the cars.
49:04: It was Doubt because since Leitvol sends a supply of pink slips to Coombs' auto lot, Cole would've suspected Leitvol and Coombs working together in the gta racket. However, I believed it was Truth since Cole insinuated Harrison and Belasco getting their slips straight from Leitvol

49:04 : It’s not truth you were right it’s doubt. Harrison is a regular joe who bought the car from Coombs and Belasco is Bigelow’s guy. Leitvol being the head honcho isn’t gonna talk with an underling and will logically only communicate with Bigelow who’s next on the chain of command in the organization to pass down orders to his crew. So there’s no way he’d know Harrison and would only hear about Belasco’s name through Bigelow having likely never met him.
Multiple pawnshops in my city got shut down over the last 10 years after constantly selling stolen merchandise but you're right about Craigslist and FB marketplace.
This reminds me of the car dealership missions in Vice City and San Andreas

She later went to the Police and they managed to get her phone back
The guy who was selling the phone got off scot free because he told the cops that he had purchased the phone a day earlier and he didn't know the phone was stolen

12:10 Here in Argentina we don't have yard sales, but we do use Facebook Marketplace as a local page market. They sell some of that things you called (stolen cars, non-legitimate products, expired merch, etc). In my town there's an avenue which has a lot of chopshops where the mechanics usually sells some stolen parts to anyone who has a issue with its car, so I understand what are you saying on that.

Small advice, if you use selective intuition to remove an answer, it crosses out any irrelevant evidenceyou have collected if you think it’s accuse/lie

That music when interrogating a suspect that plays, lets you know if you got the question right before you even see a X or check mark.
In Canada you can actually be arrested for buying a motorcycle or car that was stolen. Its under section 354(1) of the criminal code in Canada.
Pro you don’t always you need to drive, you could let your partner drive the car instead.

LA Noire is the absolute BEST game
if you mess up the interrogation, just go back to the main menu and hit resume to do it again; there's no shame in that. BTW, you can confiscate and ordinary police car or any kind of car from the streets without getting any penalties to avoid copyright content with your default car

It’s easier for me now because I already completed a number one number I keep replaying in number two is because I reached the max rate which gives you five intuition points every case you do whether it’s a case you’ve already done or a new case also done in the pastbut it still makes it still is challenging because there’s not always enough for all the interrogations in the case

Yep I agree but when I talk to bigalow (whatever his name is😒) I almost pick ‘bad cop’ because I had a feeling it’s gonna be a stupid answer so it’s accuse to hit him with delivery ( I forgot what it say) so yeah I didn’t like that case but the last part is so stupid is the last question where you talked to leivol where I chose the delivery of Bigelow warehouse and it said wrong answer but I’m like “wait what but that warehouse is full of fake pink slips or real but I called them fake though”. So yeah that case is dumb.

I think with the last question with Bigelow, the evidence is the note from Pinker. That's the one most outright with Lietvol being the owner of Marquee.
