My aunty had many pikake plants. I never made a ti leaf lei before but watching your trchnique reminds me of how I used to do my hair! ALOHA MEGAN, Since it is difficult for me to get real Ti leaves were i am at is it okay to use artificial Ti leaves from Amazon. Even the silk flowers I am picky on what i use just because I like them look real...lol

How long would you boil leaves for? And do you place leaves in boiling water or boil the water with the ti leaves already in the water.
Bring the water to a boil and add the ti leaves in for 1 or 2 minutes!

I haven’t tried this style with artificial ti leaf but I have seen others do it with ribbon
