*Stop using Oculus Tray Tools* that shit hasn't been updated in like 2 years. Just use Oculus Debut Tool, its literally installed when you install the Oculus software. Do all aircraft in DCS support oculus hand controllers?
no, what I do is get the trial version then test the controllers in it so as to not waste money on something I can not fly. What aircraft are you interested in flying?
After looking at the minimum requirements to run DCS (I am also using a laptop) I don't think i can do it. I do have 32gb of ram, but my 2.5ghz processor is below the 3ghz specified in the game requirements.

When I try to play DCS with my meta quest 2 I can normally start the game but when I then try to start a mission the game blackscreens and then crashes. I dont know what to do. I played the game in vr before and it worked.
@@luka3236 hmm, I’ve never heard of that happening
Thanks.
Why didnt you show your setup or the plane flying?
@@fumanchu4281 hi, with almost every video I create i want to get to the point and keep it short, I have tons of videos of all the aircraft I fly and my setup on my channel.
Just tried playing on Quest 3. Having trouble with controllers functioning properly. I can grab the throttle and stick, but not able to flick switches, push buttons, turn knobs, etc... any tips?
What aircraft are you trying to use it with? I doesn't work on all the aircraft. Also, be sure to have the "controllers" checked as on under the VR tab in DCS
Graphics seems bad is it limited to the VR or ur gpu please healp because im thinking of buying that thing soon. Thanx
I can only speak of the Quest 2 but I do not think it’s possible to get crystal clear graphics in VR. I aim for smooth flight then try to push the graphics up

Whenever I try to open DCS in VR, my 3D background doesn't look like yours, I still only see a white grid around me. Also, when I start a training lesson my whole screen goes black but I don't know why. Please help.
Hmm, if you are referring to the Oculus grid, if its just a white grid, probably means that you have nothing else open inside the app, that's not a bad thing. From there you can go to your desktop to launch DCS or just launch it right from your real desktop. As to the blank screen in DCS....I have no idea why that might happen, curious..does DCS work in other missions / game play?
Is there hand tracking?
I’m not sure, I’ve only tried the controllers
i have a problem that my hands in dcs (controllers) are not working propperly. Hen i press the palm trigger to point it does not point with my finger it points in a very wirld angle witch is beneth my hand. Same when i grab the throttle or the yoke it dosent grab it corectly. It is very off center and grabs it beneath the yoke and not even in a right angle. Can anyone help me fix this?
Yes this is happening in the straight DCS version, its a bug on the update. The controllers line up correctly on the MT version however.
I am having slight tracking issues with Quest 3 controllers, wondering if you've witnessed anything like that?
Hello, I haven't experienced any tracking issues. What kind of tracking issues are you having?
@jakesvrfightclubnetwork3718 it seems to be smaller inputs, seems like it doesn't register for a second and then catches up with where I've moved the controller, a little strange
@@NorthernGrim maybe its an internet connection thing?

@@jakesvrfightclubnetwork3718 Okay, did some troubleshooting with router settings and loads more... turn out the controller settings in DCS was the issue! So how your controller is set up to hold the palm grip down, stops the controller from going to sleep. Using the other method (the method i was using) where you only have to press the palm grip button once to toggle gripping the stick was the issue! It's worked perfectly since I adjusted this! Thanks.
What about DLSS, you don't activate DLSS for playing VR? I will try to start VR with Meta QUest 3

why use the oculus app over virtual desktop given how much processing power the app draws over VD?
I haven’t looked into that. I feel like the tweaking process is so frustrating I hate to start something new. Thanks, I’ll look into it
plus i get absolutely crisp imagery with VD, using a quest 2 on a gaming laptop with a 3070. I think that you could get much better resolution and performance getting out of the oculus app
I’ll look into it next week, thanks for sharing
why does it detect the headseat as a mouse and the quest 3 pad doesn't work at all? How can I change this. I play via virtual desktop and open xr.
I'm sorry, I don't think I can help. I use the Quest 2 and Oculus Tray Tool. Post your question on FB DCS groups. There is a lot of good info there
I'm having a problem when I enable VR headsets in DCS settings and click OK, the game restarts and brings up the login page as usual, but then after logging in and the small popup, DCS disappears and doesn't actually start, then does then every time I try to open it, then I have to reset my options through corrupting a settings file so that it starts again, I don't think its a problem with my VR but I'm fairly sure its a problem with DCS itself, I just have no clue what it is, any ideas?
Hi currently DCS and Oculus app are having problems where DCS crashes and doesn't open. Look up this FB page. There are a lot of post there on how to do a fix around till they get it corrected. Word is, there is an update on April 3rd that will fix it. (DCS and Oculus) facebook.com/groups/1893278417412009/

I dont think you can deactivate it in DCS however, you can reduce the size in DCS under the the system tab
can i fly with logitech x56 and use vr to only see a world ??
HI, yes I believe you can.. I have only used my VR headset and controllers for DCS
ok but please you cut out how to actually launch dcs. Do i launch from steam? Do i launch from steam vr? Help please
@@AlexStam Hello, I don’t use steam, I have the open beta version. Launching DCS has changed since the last update but here is how to get started. Connect your headset to your pc, launch the Oculus app (Rift) from inside the headset. Once the oculus app appears go to your Eagle Dynamics folder, find and launch the DCS.exe file which is located in the “bin” folder. If you want to launch the MT version then go to the “bin-MT” folder and launch the DCS.exe file from there.
When I open dcs, I stay in the vr environment while having dcs open on that small window rather than all around. How can I fix this? Thanks.

How do you lanch DCS from oculus app???
Start by launching the Oculus app. click on the "desktop" button on the Oculus menu bar. This will take you to your desktop. Here you simply click on your DCS shortcut, at this point it will open the normal DCS landing page in VR and you are off to flying.
My problem was actually getting in the game it was only showing me the desktop version i wasn't actually in the game
Did you get in? Tell me what you are seeing

*Stop using Oculus Tray Tools* that shit hasn't been updated in like 2 years. Just use Oculus Debut Tool, its literally installed when you install the Oculus software.
All you are doing by increasing PD vs setting it in the Oculus app is multiplying the final requested render from DCS. with PD 1.2 you are actually scaling your original 2432 x 1216 by basically~ 144%, IIRC this should be equivalent to 2918 x 1460 (ish)
You could run a PD of 1.0 and the above resolution and get the same... You're final total output is 4,260,280 pixels.
