I have a small collection of kitties from Temu and Wish, too. Most of them are actual stones, but if you order jade or malachite, that will probably be fake. I love my stone cats too, Elley!
The bismuth crystals do not take long to grow; around ten or twenty minutes. Great fun, can be done on your own stove.
I made bismuth in a chemistry lab in college. Most bismuth is man-made these days.

I have been ordering from Temu for 8 months. Close, bracelets, shoes and miscellaneous items. Everything that I was unhappy with or was missing was REFUNDED. It hit asn miss but in general I am very happy with the products. The wigs are great and a great value.

The little glass display tubes with cork I really like... so much easier to clean and dust the glass than nooks and crannies of a stone left out.
Too bad the zoisite didn't have ruby... fluorescent gems are fun and high chromium rubys sure do pop in uv light. But some ruby has a lot of iron that masks the fluorescence, but it does look like straight up green zoisite with black hornblende as is typical.
I love that you made this video. I recently purchased a Presidium Gem Tester II for testing jewelry specifically but I had a bright idea to test all my crystals and even the geodes I find in nearby creeks, it works great for the crystals
I frickin LOVE Temu! I've shopped there for quite a while and I have to say that I've been very satisfied for the most part. In my experience, I am RARELY disappointed, as opposed to Shein, when it comes to the quality of their products. I have had so many compliments on the clothes, shoes, and jewelry I've purchased! I'm about to move to a new house so I'm looking forward to buying some new decor and maybe even some furniture through Temu. Wish me luck!

She won't need to send them back. If she contacts them, they will immediately credit her account or refund, whichever she chooses. I've ordered crafting things and some rocks. You do have to read the description well, but that's the same for Amazon,Etsy, etc. I got a few things that I wasn't happy with, like the 30 loupe, a couple crafting items that were smaller,but they made it right. I also got one order that they sent duplicates of the few items that I ordered, When I contacted them to return them, they said "not to worry about it" it was their mistake. You do get A LOT of offers from them after u order once,but I have no issues. Also. And this is important for those who say they all come from China, most of my items come from inside the US(NJ,Ca,NC,etc).

I love Temu. I do resin projects and my molds I bought from Temu are about 1/3 the price of Amazon and the same quality
TEMU is not something we should support
what they sell is a lot of over stock. if the BIG bizz that ordered (that will overcharge you for it) requested it didn't want it or had leftovers it gets sold almost at cost. But not every site or bizz is for everyone, that's way we have choices.

@@codybill6077 well it is a company that sells EVERYTHING and mostly in really really bad quality. The prices are often nearly non-existent or extremely cheap. Which can only be acquired by low standards, child labor, modern slavery, no protection laws for nature etc. There is a good video about it ill try to find it. But it's in German. Hope it has subtitles.
Almost everything you find on temu is the same thing you find on Amazon, Walmart, target, etc. The only difference is price.
Thanks for doing this video. I wondered about the authenticity of rocks, mineral, & gems, and the quality. You answered all my questions and satisfied my curiosity! Except...grrr...the hanging ornament you got is no longer available, and now I'm going to have to live without. That's one of the few pricier items i would have bought.
I did get the sleeping kitty and loved it. After seeing the other pieces you got, I'm going back for more.

I have purchased a number of stone beads from Temu and every one has been amazing. My favorites are their garnets and grey agate which is fabulous chalcedony!!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and expertise. I have ordered a few things from Temu in the past and no issues. I completely agree that we need to support local businesses. I do see merchandise in local stores labeled “made in China” very often so I feel it’s unavoidable.
Impressed that your order was as nice as it turned out to be, honestly. Have heard bad news about Temu but I’ve been browsing it recently and seen a lot of products that Amazon carries, along with some junk - Amazon’s standards are sinking, to be fair though. For me I’m not sure how I would identify mislabeled stones correctly because I don’t have the knowledge. It’s not a problem if I’m only buying to satisfy my inner magpie though.
Those people leaving snide n awful remarks...Nobody is forcing you to buy from them. I use Temu and have learnt what to buy n what not to buy.Most clothes seem to be made from polyester. Love those kitties. Thank you so much for sharing this video.

I order fairly often from Temu, and your haul is pretty much what I would have expected from what you bought. I'm cautious in what I order and I check the measurements carefully, so the results have generally been acceptable to sometimes surprisingly good. Thanks for the unboxing!
I’ve been dubious of Temu, always feels like a scam when I look at it, but seems no worse than Amazon by what you received. But I will continue to buy from shows and such instead (despite sometimes higher cost), at least I get to choose the specimens I want.

I love your video! I use Temu quite a bit, but I never received anything damaged. However...I have received beads for jewelry that were supposed to be glass or crystal, and they were acrylic. I was able to use them and they were still worth the price, as well as beautiful. You do have to be very careful when reading the product description. For example, I have seen the description in the main section..."crystal glass bicones", however when you scroll down past the product reviews, there is another area for the description. Also, I have noticed that they are adding "synthetic" in front of more of the gemstones. 😮
Glad I saw this because I bought my grandson the triangular frames with gems. He is 8 and just got into loving rocks. So I am happy to know they are real.

Thank you for your review, yes, I think buying local is the best. But I have bought quite a few things from Temu and it seems to be not too bad. I bought material and some sewing things. The material is less quality. So I will be making just throws for the kids to put on the floor to play on. but it’s OK for someone that is just starting to sew and want to practice making things. I got some cute little scissors from them. Also, their molds for polymer clay seems to be just fine. Thank you for your video and I will be watching more of you.❤

I bought almost the exact carved kitty figures. I bought the garnet sleeping kitty first and wondered weather it was real. Im glad to hear that it is lol. Its my birth stone and I told myself that I didn't really mind if it was dyed agate but its cool that it isnt. thanks! 😀
This is why I am also so cautious with buying stone beads from Amazon just because it says Amazonite or Chrysoprase doesn’t mean it is.
From what I've heard the issue with TEMU is that they sell items on their site that are blatant rip-offs of actual artist's original pieces/designs, and are using pictures of the original artists pieces to sell cheap knock-offs.
There isn’t probably one e-commerce company that does not duplicate something. It is not just TEMU. Here they pay you if the package is late, they will mostly refund without the return unless it’s shoes or something big. It is no worse then Amazon, Wish, Aliexpress, SHEIN. I can find a lot of TEMU selling on Amazon for more money.
I don't agree with you at all. Every item I have purchased from them was exactly as pictured and in great quality. You do face to watch their sizing tho as it is Asia.
@@marilynpeters9028 You may have had positive experiences with these platforms and it's your prerogative to shop there if you choose to, however, I follow several jewelry artists in groups where I interact with them directly and I've lost count of how many artists have found that their images and original designs are ripped off and used to sell lesser quality, mass-produced items on platforms like TEMU, Shein, Alibaba, Ali Express and even Etsy. They have had to jump through ridiculous hoops to prove that the work/images being presented are legally theirs and that it is copyright infringement. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying everything off these sites is cheap or that everything is a knock-off. I would consider buying certain items to use in my own crafting/practice, but I wouldn't buy jewelry or clothing.
Most of their tarot decks are counterfeit copies. Most of the designer-type jewelry is also lesser quality copies. If you check all the photos of an item closely you'll see one or two that look better than the others. The better-looking ones are the original design and the ones with less detail or a cheaper-looking finish are the one you'll actually get. Not that I haven't gotten good items from them! I have. After a while, you get a feel for what to avoid. Most polished "malachite" on Temu or eBay is fake.

I have been buying stuff from Temu for some time. The description of the items is almost always correct but you have to really spend some time to understand it as it might be somewhat twisted at times.
I am ordering gem and rock specimens too and with a few exceptions they were good or fair.
Overall, the deals are better than on other platforms.
They were prompt to return my money when the package was not delivered and promptly offered to give me credit for the items I was dis-satisfied with.
I cautiously like them a lot!

I’ve been trying to learn more and found an app that seems to be really accurate. When I scan all the ones that I’m positive it’s always been right it’s like my plant up they’re both on my phone so when I’m out walking or at a plant shop or anything and I see a plant that I like but I’m not sure what it is, or I want more information I can just scanner and now this is the same thing. I’m having a ball with it so far and any crystals that I’ve gotten from Temu seem to be right.
Always check the measurements in the description to avoid disappointment. learnt that from my first order. Item as described but smaller than expected. Now I always check the measurements

Just found your channel! I ordered rocks for my young great nephew. I’ve gathered a few for him, in a clear egg carton (also Temu). I don’t like faked rocks, but can appreciate altered beads for jewelry, as long as they are not presented as natural. That is my “line in the sand”, I want honesty in my purchases. I have gotten refunds on 2 I did not think were as advertised, easy peasy. Thanks so much for your review.

I bought some polished agates and they were dyed with oranges and black. I’m tumbling one of them to see if I can get below them.
As for the "aqua quartz" type rocks...aren't they still quartz though? Like wouldn't they still have the same energies as regular quartz without the coating? Curious mind wants to know you thoughts on it. I did buy that very rock at my local crystal shop just because I thought it was pretty, not because I wanted it for help with a healing or anything. I'm just curious about the quartz part of it. As for Temu, they have been pretty hit or miss for me. Some things have been great and others...not so much. There is one thing I absolutely will not buy from them and that is clothing. I don't the materials. As someone who has hot flashes often, I need a very breathable material and most of the items that I have gotten from them all have that spandex, trap all the heat in, make you sweat like a pig on a spit quality to them lol Just doesn't work for me. Also, I would not recommend buying fake nails or nail tips from them lol The one I got were paper thin and bent more than my natural nail and they had a chemically smell to them no matter how much I washed my hands with them on. I have gotten quite a few other things from them though, including shoes, nail polishes, phone cases, and more.

I have ordered many items from Temu including several of the rock and mineral items. I have been pleased with both quality and price. I got the crystal bismuth which I loved as well as some of the small spheres (druzy agate, dalmation jasper). Also incense holders, one of yellow jade and one of tiger eye and a cross pendant of opalite (Im not sure if the opalite is real but it is pretty). Everything was well packaged, arrived on time with nothing missing or broken. Ive bought several non mineral items as well and have been equally pleased. I will continue to order from them. Maybe some of those crystal sceptres and cat figurines!
All the carvings and probably the towers are all machine carved/cut, so very easy to make on high quantities.

My piece of fluorite was Brocken in half when I got it. My pack of four boho cushion covers were nothing like they said. I do like their tiny holed crystals which I make earrings with. Mostly they are real but not all. I couldn’t be bothered sending stuff back and I think they know that .

I got a package from temp today with geodes. The ones they call small were minuscule. The ones they called large fit in my closed hand. Not impressed. One large geode had crystals but was broken in 3 pieces.

when you buy a loope , tripplet means there's 3 sections of glass to help with the clearity of the magnifications .. normaly 10 power .. I've been a jeweller for over 50 years .. IKasoy is the better loope
I have been using Temu for several years now and for the most part everything has been excellent, I have had a few items come late and they gave me the $5, I’ve recently been buying a lot of gem stock and rocks, I live in Maine and have done prospecting and have found some totally awesome gems, I appreciate your honesty, for the most part I’d have to say that Temu is for the most part honest in what they offer

Ordered almost a lot of the same that she ordered but the packaging was not like that at all it was busted open missing a lot of stuff and each package was not as nicely wrapped as yours is so maybe you should do one without their backing

The nice thing about TEMU is that if something does arrive broken, they will refund you full purchase price plus tax, and most of the time, you don’t even have to return the items which can be a real hassle.

I had kind of the same result.
Some things were good and others were duds. I did get some Nice agates from them.
Anything that you aren't happy with, they will refund you and usually let you keep it.

So many times I’ve seen Gold Stone ‘presented’ as a semi-precious stone. It’s So annoying!
I've had good products and poor products, returning 3 out of 10 items on most orders. Temu returns are wonderful!! Sometimes no need to return product for refund if small total cost of refund. Very cool easy process. Just a grind to know some products won't be what is described or don't operate.

My father is a Geologist and he is the one responsible for my house being full of rocks, gemstones and minerals.
Despite being hesitant - I have ordered a few gemstone beads and have been lucky that they are real.
What I've noticed is that fake polished gemstones have a sheen like glass. There are no imperfections in the rock at all and no depth.
Real gemstones that Temu sells don't have a high sheen and there is depth. Most times, you can see the variations in color, banding, crystallization, and so on.
I'm sure if I continue to buy my gemstones off Temu, I'll eventually get a few fake ones. But the prices can't be beat. So it's worth.
Thank you for sharing your experience. One major issue with Temu for me is that they cheaply knock off jewelry designs from genuine artists who are trying their best to make a living. Worse yet, those knock-off pieces then often find their way onto sites like Etsy where they are sold as handmade. I have seen pieces that were bought for less than $2 offered for sale for close to $100 - as handmade. This deception hurts the original artist as well as the customer who believes they are buying a handmade item.
I’ve been using Temu for a while. Only one item was less than expected but that was my fault for not reading the dimensions properly. I’ve gotten stone spheres, points and specimens and all have been as advertised.
